章 22: Chapter -19 Edan Part -1

The workshop did not look like its usual self. There was no dust or metal scraps on the floor, it was clean and the fireplace was cold. In the main room sat two people talking to each other while waiting for Kuon.

“Who is this kid Kuon is bringing here? Is he from the village?” Merlin asked while glancing at the door.

Babak nodded while holding a large mug in his hand. “I was surprised to see him as well I did not think he survived as well. The only ones who did I thought were those three.” They stayed quiet for a while it seemed as if both of them wished to avoid conversations as much as possible.

Merlin took this change to ask again. “Will he be alright up there?”

Babak looked at the direction where he was pointing. “That kid is being really strange these days. I wanted to get him into some kind of distraction keeping him busy for a while.”

He shook his head is disappointment. “Who is the child’s father by the way? Did he loose his family in the attack as well?”
