~~~(POV: Satele Shan)~~~
~~~(Location: The Jedi Temple, Coruscant)~~~
The implication of my words fall on Eassa, and she slowly looks to the ground. Whatever that monster is, it's made from the bodies we never recovered. The Force screamed at me when I first sensed it. The power behind that monster.
Nate being there made things easier for all of us. His presence alone shielded us from whatever attack it used. I wouldn't want to know what kind of damage it can inflict on someone.
"Satele... Why does Nate do things alone most of the time... I know he's strong and doesn't need help... But from the first time I heard of him on Alderaan, it seemed like he had been alone since he was a kid... Aside from you, Eassa..."
Nella changes the conversation quickly to a topic that entertains something other than disturbing facts about what the Sith have done to this place.
Said question is one I seldom hear from someone so young. Nella has a politician's way of asking questions sometimes. This isn't one of those times. I can tell she's more concerned and worried for Nate. All of us know that he's more than powerful enough to beat that thing.
What she's talking about is how he's reached the point of being the strongest being in the galaxy. I have no doubts in my mind an ordinary being can harm Nate. His power is too great.
He did it all on his own... He wasn't nearly this powerful when he left Hoth all those years ago. I know he's struggled... I couldn't begin to say with accuracy pertaining to what he's been through.
"I couldn't answer that. There was a long point in time when I believed Nate hated me... Thought me his greatest betrayer... And I was... I've made so many mistakes with Nate... Many more with Theron... He's changed a lot since he met you..."
Nella leans against the wall and sits down. Letting Eassa heal her turning stomach with The Force. There is a feeling of much anguish from Nella... She knows more about Nate than I do...
That much, I know.
Eassa has a feeling going through her as well. A deep-seated pity for Nate. One that parasitically eats at her love for him. I'm guessing Nate hasn't sensed it. Or maybe hasn't wanted to.
"When Satele told me he left on his own... Left Hoth... When I read the report of what he'd done... I knew at that point Nate wouldn't be in my life for a very long time..."
Eassa is the one to speak up now. She's the only one here that's been with Nate on an intimate level, and even then. It wasn't to a point where adults have been together.
She was crushed when she heard the truth from me. The Jedi hid what happened on Hoth for as long as we could. But The Republic issued a statement and a bounty soon after. The same went for The Empire. He was an enemy to everyone.
Now, people are so scared of his power. They won't look him in the eyes. I've been in the presence of Dark Lords. Marr, Malgus, and even Jadus.
If they're stars burning with The Dark Side. Then Nate is an infinite universe of stars burning with all the power of The Force.
"What do you think would happen if he lost control..."
Nella interrupts my thoughts. I already know the answer to that. Nate has destroyed Ryloth in his grief... The day he found his parents dead...
"I couldn't say. All I know for sure is a lot of people would die. All across the galaxy."
It's not an answer that Nella wants to hear, but it's the one I have to give.
That power comes at a cost.
It's taken me two decades to learn that.

SCRAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!
The monster in front of me screams as I unleash White Force Lightning on its malformed flesh. I'm trying every trick I've got to kill this thing. I'm thinking maybe disintegration will work.
After being exposed to such a sound, one can't help thinking the creature they're trying to kill, in fact, dies. However, that isn't what happens.
This thing refuses to die.
An Abomination is an appropriate title.
