~~~(POV: Nathen Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: Personal Ship, Outerspace near Nal Hutta)~~~
My hand is outstretched toward the disgusting world of Nal Hutta, and I reach out with The Force. Nella is reacting to the power I'm displaying. She's feeling what The Force is doing right now. It's almost singing at my actions.
This isn't the first time I've felt this happen. But it's the first time I've seen another other than myself feel that from The Force.
The world's crust is cracking, and it's starting to look like the world is bleeding. It's a haunting sight. My hand slowly closes, and the indents of a hand crushing Nal Hutta slowly appear on the world.
"What is the purpose of destroying an entire world when you could eliminate the Hutts another way?"
SCORPIO interrupts the beautiful and haunting moment. And I don't answer her. Only continuing to focus on the crumbling world outside the viewing port. Nella is overwhelmed by her emotions. This is the first time she's seen death on this scale before.
The indents of a hand crushing speed up as I squeeze my hand tighter, and after a couple of seconds, I force my hand close.
Nal Hutta explodes in a fiery explosion of heat, energy, and violence. The Force sends a wave throughout the galaxy. And anyone with a connection to The Force can feel how many people just died. Innocent and guilty.
The Hutt world is one of importance to The Hutt Cartel. And it'll not go unnoticed.
There is a loud thump next to me, and I turn to see Nella passed out. Debris is heading toward our ship, but I stop it with The Force and send it back the way it came.
"Take her to the infirmary. A shock from The Force like that will take some time to recover from."
SCORPIO obeys my orders, and I make my way to the command deck and take control of the ship. Marking the next destination.
Lothal.
It's about 3 days from where we're at by Hyperspace, and that'll give time for the Hutts and the rest of the galaxy to learn what just happened.
Nal Hutta is gone, and it's never coming back.
As I enter the coordinates from Lothal, the ship enters Hyperspace, and I slowly close my eyes. While such a feat in The Force is possible for me. It takes a lot of strain and energy. I'm actually tired after doing that.
A few minutes later, SCORPIO enters the command deck, too, and takes a seat next to me. She doesn't look like she's looking for answers now. After seeing that, she's probably thinking of new ways to overcome me or escape.
A mortal shouldn't weld such power. And I could make the argument that I'm not one. In truth, I'm a Mortis God. Son of Abeloth.
"SCORPIO... Do you think there is anything that you could do that might lead to your freedom from me?"
She doesn't know that I have no issues with her leaving, but only after I'm done needing her help. I know she eventually makes her way to serving under Valkorian. But seeing all of this might stop that.
She remains silent, and I smile. This is how our little game works, and I find myself enjoying it more than I should.
"Once we're done on Lothal, you're free to go."
That seems to surprise her as she turns her head to look at me.
"I never said that I'd be keeping you forever. Only until I didn't need you anymore. And once I'm done on Lothal, you're services are no longer required."
I can tell from the very slight squint in her eyes that I've ruined some great plan she had. But that's fine with me.

Nathen was kind enough to let me get a head start, and I was smart leaving my funds off of Nal Hutta. I doubt my dealings with Nathen are over yet. I know he'll be getting in contact with me to check on his fleet.
My eyes are filled with the recording of Nal Hutta dying. Being crushed. You can see it in the crust of the planet. It's sad. It truly is.
But it's not something that affects me. In fact, I've moved up a few ranks in The Hutt Cartel thanks to this. Thanks to Nathen.

~~~(POV: Nathen Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: Personal Ship, Training Room, Hyperspace)~~~
Nella sits across from me as she swirls the metal cubes around her. Lothal is still a couple of days away, and I'm teaching Nella how to channel both the Dark and Light sides of The Force at the same time.
She's made some progress, which is proof she's capable of wielding both sides at the same time. But she ends up more exhausted than she normally would if only using one side.
As my thoughts end, Nella drops the metal cubes and takes several deep breaths. After a couple of minutes, she's staring at the holo-terminal in the corner of the room. It's old and broken down. I have a feeling she's seen what's on it.
"I take it the curious Apprentice has seen what I hid on that holo-terminal?"
Her head darts back to look at me, and I can see her quickly gathering her words. She's good at it. Being trained by a noble and politician.
"Yeah... I didn't know there was anything so personal on the holo-terminal... I just saw an opportunity to practice my Mechu-deru... If I had known how important it was to you, I wouldn't have messed with it..."
The breath is catching in her lungs as she's at the end of her recovery from her training. There is sweat on her brow, and I'd help her recover. But that's a power I'll be teaching her soon too.
"What did you see?"
I'm curious as to what she found on the holo-terminal. It's filled with recordings and logs that I stole from the Jedi Order. I was pursuing my parents when I got them. I wanted to know everything the Jedi hid from me.
It was during the time in my life when I was most confused and lost. Having my memories of my old life now have helped me. Looking back, I was the way I was because I was missing those memories.
I stored everything I stole on that holo-terminal. I only watched a few recordings before lashing out and nearly destroying the holo-terminal. I haven't touched it since.
"I watch a couple of recordings. One was when you were training with a man named Master Caleb. He was teaching you how to channel The Force safely. After that recording ended, a new one popped up. Some time looked like it passed."
She takes a long swig of water before continuing from there.
"You were asleep on a bed, and your old Master Satele Shan was there. Along with Master Caleb."
I actually remember that day... Seems they recorded that too...
~~~(POV: Grandmaster Satele Shan)~~~
~~~(Location: Tython, Personal Study)~~~
~~~(Time: 11 Years Ago)~~~
"Initiate Opal has been struggling to control his power as of late. It seems that the more time that passes, the stronger his connection to The Force becomes. He already dwarfs the Masters of the Order. His power may become too great to control."
The report from one of Nate's Masters replays for me. Ever since Nate has been here, we've had to increase surveillance on him. His powers are extraordinary. And that requires extra attention. For the safety of the Jedi Order and Nate.
Another report comes up, and I can see that it's Master Caleb this time. Nate has formed a bond with the man. Seeing him as an older brother.
"Report #31: Nate's body doesn't work the same way other Force-Sensitives do. When under high amounts of stress, most Force Sensitives are damaged by The Force. But it's the opposite for Nate. When he's in a high-stress or dangerous situation, The Force lashes out and removes any danger to Nate's life."
Caleb has the most detailed reports concerning Nate's connection to The Force and how it works differently than everyone else's.
"One of Nate's most remarkable gifts is his ability to wield and use obscure and nearly unknown Force Powers. His connection to the reports of these Mortis Gods is unclear, but perhaps there is a link between his power and their existence."
As the report finishes, I lean back in my chair and pinch the bridge of my nose.
The Mortis Gods... Beings of unimaginable power that have been a subject of rare study in The Order.
Before I can continue this train of thought, a powerful presence fluctuates all around The Temple. And it's very familiar.
Nathen is angry.
