Zoe stabbed down with her knife as Argen twisted his body and jumped in the air above the hunters.
*Whish*
Argen dodged the arrows from the hunters who had stayed in the back.
'Wow they seem more coordinated now,' He thought to himself as he flipped and landed on the ground.
"Hey Percy, it's been a while huh?" Argen said giving a friendly greeting. Even if he didn't like Percy he still needed him, so he might as well as be nice.
"Uh, yeah." Percy said as Argen flicked his wrist, blowing the manticore away.
"Gotta watch out for the sneak attacks."
Argen turned and kicked the trunk of a tree, breaking it down and jumping in the air.
Then, using Asfalis as a stabilizer, he kicked the trees straight at the hunters, hoping it didn't kill them, but if it did then oh well.
Silver lines sliced through the tree as Argen rolled his eyes. "You know this was supposed to be Me Vs. The Hunters… So why'd you butt in mother?"
Artemis stood there in her 13 year old form, the hunters shocked that she would jump in the middle of a battle.
"Argen, you dare show up in front of a god, someone who you swore on the River Styx to kill, and expect to have some kind of leisure?"
Argen shrugged his arms. "I mean a boy could only hope haha…"
While this interaction was going on Scathath was blocking Megan and Thalia(the girl that Argen had never met) from joining the fight.
Had they been paying attention at all they would have seen the manticore trying to take the two kids Percy was protecting.
"Ugh, you never listen to me mom, it's not a phase I swear," Argen said teasingly as he dodged the first strike from Artemis, only for her knee to smash into his face.
"Why didn't you block that?" Artemis said as she elbowed him hard enough to smash through a tree.
"Honestly, I'm trying to maintain myself in front of everyone else, but I want to kill you so bad right now," Argen said in a calm quiet voice.
"That day I lost Law, it was my fault… I should have been more aware, I should have been stronger, you wouldn't know anything about this, but I promised I'm not going to block any attacks from you gods anymore, I deserve the pain haha."
Argen's words barely reached Artemis's ears as she elbowed him in the solar plexus, smashing him through another tree.
"I don't know who that is, but clearly you didn't deserve her, she sounds like she'd make a good hunter."
Argen was flying back as he heard this, instantly opening his eyes as anger flooded his system.
Artemis kicked Argen in the face, not caring about her words. "Hey…" Argen said not budging under the kick.
"Take that shit back," He finished grabbing Artemis by the leg and slamming her into the tree.
Not letting go he threw her into the clearing and rushed down, landing on her knees first as he punched her in the face.
"Take it back!" Argen said smashing his hand into Artemis's face again, only this time it was blocked by her bow.
Argen's arm broke from the force.
"Take it back, she would never join your group, ever."
"Geez, all of you fighting and not acknowledging my presence, well at least you noticed me Annabeth… But no greeting from anyone else? How disappointing."
Everyone froze as the temperature raised to nearly 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Had it been summer it might be almost normal.
"Oh no," Artemis said gritting her teeth and kicking Argen off of her as she got up and aimed her bow at the god holding Annabeth by the neck.
"Leave here false god," Artemis said with a venomous tone.
"Luke?!" Percy yelled from the side as Dr. Thorn was kneeling to Luke, the new sun god.
"Ah hello everyone, how has it been? I guess you guys get two surprises today… Though I'm sure I'm better than the other one."
Luke smiled in all his golden glory as he looked at Argen.
"Ah… I remember there is someone I hate more than Percy…" Argen sighed and turned his back to Luke, walking toward Scathath.
"We don't need these guys, it's too bothersome, let's just finish finding the legendary demigods…"
"Hey… Don't turn your back on me, perhaps you don't want to hear how you can bring Law back to life…"
Argen stopped dead in his tracks as his heart skipped a beat. "Hey…"
Argen moved faster than anyone could see and was standing in front of Luke, who didn't seem all that surprised. "… Don't every say her name you peasant."
"Peasant? Then… I'm not telling you."
With those words Luke, Annabeth, and the manticore disappeared in a ray of sunlight, faster than even Argen or Scathath could react.
"Annabeth!" Percy yelled rushing forward. He had been in shock due to Luke's sudden appearance and his godly form, but seeing his friend suddenly gone snapped him out of it.
"Why'd you let them go!" Percy yelled grabbing Argen by the collar.
Argen blinked before looking down at the hands and then back up at the owner. "Get your filthy hands off me."
Percy stepped back in shock and let go as Argen looked at his mother.
"What was that? Why was Luke a god… I could feel it so don't bother trying to lie," Argen said as he and Scathath stood there.
Everyone was gathered now, though the two that Percy had been protecting were off to the side with Grover.
"I will tell you everything in due time, for now my hunters shall rest," Artemis said turning away.
The rest of the hunters did the same as they began setting up camp.
"Ugh, they're so full of it," The girl, Thalia, said standing next to Argen. Argen didn't care and just ignored her as he watched the hunters set up.
"I think we should stay for a while, but we'll do what you choose."
Scathath's words reached Argen's ears as he had already decided.
"Fine… We're staying with you guys I suppose, isn't this kinda like a family reunion?" Argen said with an almost teasing smile as the rest of the members went into the woods with the hunters, including Grover and the two random demigods.
