章 10: Chp 10 : Dream High?
Al back to their room after having a nice talk with Mary and Mrs. K. The room was big, with 10 beds inside, each side has 5 beds with some small cupboard to keep children's belongings. They used to lack funds before, so Mrs. K decided to let the kids sleep together, currently, they have no adults except Mary so it's all okay.
When Al appeared in this room, each kid was doing their hobbies. Toby and Jon were reading the Spider-man comic that Al bought for them, he bought a complete set for them on Christmas.
While girls were playing with Barbie dolls which also Al bought. He spent almost $500 for all sets of them with their accessories. Even he still thinking about how a doll could cost that much. What he knew, the doll production cost only $2-5, and that was still produced in the USA, in future, almost factories moved to Asian countries such as China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, and their production cost could be lowered to 50-75%.
Al sighed, went to the light switch, and turn them off. All kids were all screaming even cursing Al. Al always did this every time they forgot their time to sleep.
Maybe because this was a normal habit, all kids were all shut up and cleaning their own stuff then went to sleep.
Al also went to bed and began to enter his palace. Then suddenly Laura's voice was heard. "Al, Did you asleep?"
Al opened his eyes and said, "Yes, I'm dreaming now Laura."
"Don't joke around Al." She grumped. "Al, can I ask you a question?" She said.
"Ask away Laura." He replied.
"Are you rich?" She asked.
"You can say that I had enough money for us." He said.
"Then tell me how Al, I also want to become rich." She asked
Al was confused hearing her saying this and decided to ask, "What happened Laura, did something bothers you?"
"No Al, I just don't want to be adopted. At first, I hate here and can't wait to be adopted and have a family, but I like Mrs. K and Mary, I also like everyone here. Not only that, since you donating money here, we also got nice cloth and delicious food every day. Maybe if I am rich, I could stay here forever." Her voice was a bit croaked while saying it.
"Of course you can stay here as long as you want Laura. We can talk to Mrs. K tomorrow, I also told Mrs. K before that I don't want to be adopted. Tell me, Laura, do you have dreams?" Said Al.
"Dream? Hmm, I want to become Barbie." She said happily. Al facepalmed and said, "Not that kind of dream, I mean what do you want to become when you have grown up?"
She fell into deep thought and finally said, "I want to become a model, uh uh I want to become a fashion designer and I can make my own dress!! I can become my own Barbie!!"
At the same time, Toby who Al thought already asleep said, "Uh uh, I want to become like Mary! So I could help you manage your business Al!"
"You are not sleeping yet?" Surprised Al. "Well, Laura is noisy, so I awoke and heard everything."
Also, the other kids begin to tell their dream from their bed, " I want to be a scientist." Jon said, "I want to be a teacher." Melissa said, and Annie said, "I want to join Navy SEAL."
Now all gaze was turned to Annie, and everybody included Al was agape.
"Okay² guys, as long as I am here, If you don't want to be adopted, I'll make sure you won't. Also when you all grown up, I will help you make your dream comes true!" Al said break the ice that formed from what Annie said.
""Yeaaaah"" Sound of cheering was heard and all kids convey their gratitude to Al.
Then, Mrs. K's voice was heard, " Kiddddsss!! If you don't sleep now I'll make sure every one of you cleans the toilet!!!"
Now all of them are shut their mouth, afraid of Mrs. K's fury. They have a smile all over their face include Al.
He was really happy to hear their laughter and mischievous side, ouuh he really wanted to pamper them and give them another gift.
Then Al said," Okay as a celebration.... who wants a puppy?" Another sound of cheer was heard again followed by Mrs. K's voice.

Tomorrow morning, we see a bunch of kids cleaning the toilet, although they were doing this, no sad or angry face painted on their face.
Only a smile, while muttering words "puppy", well only Annie muttering that. Mrs. K saw their unusual behavior began to question Al, "Did you promising another thing to them 'again' Al?"
He knew he can't hide anything from Mrs. K and told her, "I am planning to adopt a puppy Mrs. K, wait! Let me explain to you first!"
Al saw Mrs. K want to argue Al immediately told his reasons, "You know these kids sometimes they always doing something irresponsible and they need to be taught a lesson about responsibility right? So how about give them some dogs so they learn how to be responsible for their duty, is that right?"
Hearing his argument, Mrs. K sigh 'This kid is too good at talking.' She began to call all of the kids and gather them.
Then she said "Okay, I will let all of you get dogs taken care of. But if I see this dog doesn't get trained, having bad behavior, and taking dump or piss everywhere, this dog will be sent back to shelter. Understand!!"
""Yes Mrs. K"" Shouted them. "Good, now all of you, I brought you lunch, let's having it."
Kids began to cheer and filled with excitement, maybe from getting a pet or not having clean the toilet anymore.
Then after they are finished having lunch, Mrs. K gave another shocking information, "Ups almost forgot, next week we'll be having a new tenant and I hope you all will get along with her."
'New kid?' thought Al.
But before Al wanted to discuss further with Mrs. K, a doorbell rang. When Mrs. K greeted the guest, it turned out to be Ari Emanuel who brings Al good news.
"Al Al Al, you won't believe this, hah hah hah, it's great news!!!" Ari came hurriedly with an excited tone and seems to forget to breathe.
"Here water, and don't forget to breathe." He said while took a glass of water and gave it to him.
He drank the water, took a deep breath, and gave Al the good news. "Good news Al, it turns out, my father and Spielberg not only knew each other, but they could also be said a good acquaintance. Spielberg even admired my father's contribution to the Jewish circle in the US. Spielberg gives us those audition opportunity, he even ensures to prioritize you in that audition, I already told him a lot of good things about you, minus the author one."
"Yessss!! Finally! Thank you, Ari! I won't let your effort be wasted. When will we be having the audition?"
"In early May, the shooting will be held from September to December, the film will be screened in June next year. And not only that, Spielberg shoots a children's movie! a children's movie I tell you, the great director Spielberg shoots a children's movie with a male lead around 10 to 12 years old and alien! You are so damn lucky Al! your first debut will be leading male of Spielberg's film."
'Okay, everything is going as I planned' Al thought. "But don't be excited early Ari, we don't know Spielberg will really choose me." He said.
Ari began to calm down and said, "Don't worry, I'll make sure to help you with the outside factor. For the audition, I hope you will impress Spielberg."
"I don't doubt about my acting skill, I want to know if the other candidate has better connection than us."
"We won't know until the audition day Al, but I'll find out. You are my gold mine Al hahaha."
"This guy, should I be wary of you now?" Al said. When Ari heard this, he just shrugged
Ari stayed until evening and agreed to Mrs K to have a dinner with them.
