章 88: Learning from Loss
After the celebration everyone went to lobby. They all were sitting on sofas around the part, Suddenly Jason stood up and said, "Gus, I have something important to do, will join you all later." He waved them good bye with smile and ran from there.
Pokecenter Lobby after Jason Left:
"What happened to Jason ?" Phoebe was first to say.
"He might have some work Phoebe, he will return after finishing it." Said Steven.
"But..." Said Phoebe, but Steven interrupted her and said, "Phoebe I know you two are good friends but I know Jason from a longer time, he will be back."
"He was said after losing to me." Said Alex.
"Yes he was but Jason is tough like you he will recover from it soon." Said Steven.
Everyone nodded to that and continued there discussion, but someone was there who was more concerned with Jason, it was Cynthia. She stood up after 10 minutes of discussion, in that discussion she was just listening to everyone and was not showing any interest to that. When she stood up, everyone looked to her, "What happened Cynthia ?" Asked Elsa.
"Nothing, I am just little tired, I am going to my room, will see you guys tomorrow morning." Said Cynthia and she left towards the stairs.
Others just ignored her act and continued with discussion that they were doing, like which pokemon is most powerful and which trainer they found strong, etc.
Back to Jason:
Jason exited pokemon center and started walking towards beach, after walking for around 40 minutes he reached near a deserted place near sea. He sat on a rock and called out his few pokemons, Lucario, Nidoking, Gallade, Gardevoir and Gengar.
"Hey all how are you ? Nido how are you feeling now ?" Said Jason.
'I am good master, that battle was really tough for me, I went all out there.' Said Nido.
"Yes I know and thats why we won." Said Jason.
'You feel like you are broken master.' Said Gardevoir.
"No, I am not." Said Jason.
'Don't forget my specialty is that I can understand feelings easily and Gallade can also feel it, am I right Gallade ?' Said Gardevoir.
'Huh... Yes Yes... I was just looking through him, Jason you can share us what happened.' Said Gallade.
"Nothing much, I just lost to Alex." Said Jason.
'So what, we can win next time. This is not your first loss, we have also lost many time before as well and learned from those but why are you sad today ?' Asked Gallade.
"Because he lost to Alex." Said someone from behind. (Gallade's talks come out like voice so any other person can also hear this, but for others its not the same case.)
jason turned around to look at the person, it was Cynthia. "Hey Cynthia, I thought you were sitting with others." Said Jason.
"No, I was feeling bored there so I thought to look for you." Said Cynthia.
"Ok..." Said Jason and then started looking towards Sea.
"Jason what happened to you, why are you feeling down ? It was just a friendly battle." Said Cynthia.
"Yes I know but what Alex said hurt me more." Said Jason and sighed.
"What was wrong in that Jason ? From what I heard from your friends, you mainly use only few of your pokemons for all battles like Lucario, Nidoking and Electrabuzz but what about your Gallade, Gardevoir or other powerful pokemons, Jason you are mainly dependent on Nidoking for powerful opponent and you never give chance to any other pokemon against strong ones. How will they develop ? Jason you are making your other pokemon weak and you won't be able to win in world tournament with only Nidoking, you should think about other pokemons as well. You are powerful trainer Jason but using only one pokemon all time shows that your others are weak, your Electrabuzz lost to Espeon who was at same level as of Electrabuzz, just because Alex use his weaker pokemon against strong ones and your Electrabuzz had never battled any pokemon with more skills like this so he wasn't anything compare to Espeon." Said Cynthia, "Also remember Jason, you have more number of powerful pokemons but still Alex is more powerful compare to you, his pokemons have skill and your has mainly power, try to think in smart way and after that your weak pokemons will also be able to beat stronger opponents." Cynthia Continued.
Jason listened to what she said and looked at his pokemons, and then looked at Cynthia and said, "Thanks Cynthia, I think now I understand what is meaning of Alex's words. Thankyou very much." And in excitement he hugged her and then called back his pokemons, after that he started walking towards Pokecenter. After walking a little he looked back at Cynthia who was still standing there, she looked in shock, "Hey Cynthia aren't you coming ?" Asked Jason.
Cynthia regained her consciousness and smiled at him then she ran towards him and crossed him and said, "Let's see who will reach pokecenter first." Jason laughed at that and said, "I will win then." Both of them ran towards pokemon center.
Our hero today learned something from his new friend, lets see where it will take him. Wait to see in upcoming chapters.
