When Angela arrived inside the servant quarters to ask permission, the head butler was absent. She asked the other servants if they saw him, and they answered that the Duke and the Duchess had summoned him to the guest room. Angela thanks them for their reply and leaves them be. Angela went back to Lady Cathlen's chambers to tell her that she couldn't ask permission to go out because the head butler had been summoned to the guest room by the duchess and duke. 

She knocked on the door and Alda immediately opened it, only to see Angela with a guilty expression. Alda asked her what was wrong, and Angela then delivered everything to her. When Alda heard the reason for her expressions and early arrival in the chamber, she then advised her to take the second passage to the garden to go out. Angela can't help but feel nervous and scared about her idea.
