Ayaan ignored the curious gazes around him and opened the metallic gate of the shop by the key.
As the gate of the shop opened, the dust fell from above on Ayaan's head. He covered his body with a small layer of magic energy, and all the dust fell at the side without touching his clothes.
Afterwards, Ayaan and Rebecca entered the shop together. The moment the duo entered the shop, someone from the crowd spoke.
"Did anyone see his magic realm?"
As the saying goes, one stone would cause hundreds of waves in the ocean. After hearing the voice of the man, the people around him also started to speak curiously.
"There are lots of treasures to hide the magic realm; he must be someone from a big family and have that kind of treasure with him."
When everyone heard the man, others as well nodded in acknowledgement. They would not believe that he was more powerful than them.
"Who is he? Why have I never heard about such a young, talented mage?" Someone else at the side asked curiously.
"No wonder, he could get a shop in the central district this easily. There must be someone backing him from behind. Only high-level families could train geniuses like him.
Only they would need treasures to hide their magic realms. So, to not let others see their progress." Someone a little knowledgeable in the crowd said with a deep voice.
Everyone fell silent after hearing the voice of the man. If it was true, then it won't be worthwhile if they offend someone as influential as him. It would be better to build a good relationship with him.
Slowly, the crowd dispersed; so to not antagonise him.
Ayaan and Rebecca entered the shop, and a place full of dust greeted them. There was a glass counter placed in the middle. Although it was in pretty good shape, a one-inch thick layer of dust was covering the whole counter.
There were lots of shelves on the wall behind the counter, which must be for showcasing fresh materials to the customers.
Rebecca placed a handkerchief on her face because it was hard to breathe inside the shop due to dust. After seeing the condition inside, Ayaan frowned but didn't comment. Isobel had already told him that the shop was closed for a long time. Therefore, it covered the shop in the thick dust.
Thereupon, Ayaan turned towards the right side and saw small stairs going upward. He knew that this shop had two floors. And this was one of the condition's Ayaan had told Isobel when he asked about the shop.
He was going to open a potion shop. Therefore, he would need his laboratory to experiment and for the potion-making. He could not do that on the first floor because this place would be where customers could come.
The potion-making would need Ayaan's hundred percent attention. So, he could not disturb by anyone in between because a minor distraction would cause the failure of the potion.
Therefore, he requested this shop; so he could make a second floor his laboratory and the first floor was for doing business.
After confirming everything was as he wanted, Ayaan nodded and waved his hand towards the dusty counter.
"Shoosh~."
Suddenly, a gust of wind appeared out of nowhere. All the dust over the counter wrapped in the gale, and with a whoosh sound, it went out.
Ayaan looked at the shining counter, and a smile appeared on his face. It was the basic spell of the wind element which he had recently learnt.
After the first gale of wind, a second appeared, followed by a third, and suddenly a whole shop was filled with gales of wind.
In just a few minutes, the entire shop became as clean as Ayaan's clothes, the counter was looking as good as any new counter, and the floor had no trace of dust by now.
Ayaan nodded in satisfaction and turned towards Rebecca before saying, "I think we would need furniture for the shop. Let's go; I saw a few furniture shops when we arrived here."
"Alright, let's go," Rebecca replied and walked side by side with him.
There was nothing inside the shop. Therefore, Ayaan didn't worry about it and just closed the door before going toward the furniture shop, which was only a hundred meters away from his shop.
When the servant saw Ayaan and Rebecca walking towards him, he took a step forward and bowed towards the duo, before saying respectfully, "Welcome, sir!"
Ayaan nodded towards the servant and walked into the shop. However, when both of them entered the shop, a pleasant smell greeted them.
The duo looked around and saw different furniture placed inside the shop. Although the shop was almost as equal as Ayaan's shop, every furniture had set systematically. Therefore, the shop was looking way better than his.
After taking a peek inside the shop, Ayaan looked at the counter where the manager was sitting. At the side, a few workers were dealing with customers.
Subsequently, Ayaan walked towards the counter with Rebecca. The manager who was sitting this whole time without a change of expression looked at him but didn't show any expression. He looked at Ayaan and completely ignored him after seeing his boyish face.
Simultaneously, a servant who had just dealt with a customer looked at Ayaan and gave him a pleasant smile before saying, "Welcome, sir! How can I help you?"
Ayaan looked at the boy who had approximately the same age as him and then smiled before replying, "I would like to buy some furniture."
"So, what type of furniture do you want?" the servant inquired while still smiling.
"Can you please show me around before I decide?" Ayaan asked after thinking for some time.
The manager who was sitting at the side heard and frowned but didn't object. He looked towards the servants and nodded.
After looking at the young face of Ayaan, he was worried that he wouldn't be able to afford the items. However, he could not object to him openly, or it would affect the business of the shop.
Therefore, he reluctantly let him check the furniture placed inside the shop.
Hi readers,
Thanks for the support until now. Hope, you will stay with me to witness the end of the book. Although its far away.
Ayaan walked inside the shop; he bought anything which he found useful. First, he purchased a sectional sofa for customers to wait. Although it could not fit hundreds of people. It was enough for eight to ten people to sit comfortably.
Afterwards, he took the shabby chic coffee table for matching with the sectional sofa.
Rebecca was looking at him with confusion — why was he buying these expensive sofas just for the shop? However, Ayaan knew very well what he was doing.
For doing business, your product should be of high quality. But with that, the presentation of your shop also must be adequate, or you could lose potential customers.
Ayaan's father was a businessman; though not significant, he had learnt many things from him.
The shopping went for at least an hour; after buying everything, when he returned to the counter, the manager saw the long list of items and couldn't believe his eyes.
Finally, the manager looked at Ayaan and asked, "Do you… really want to buy all these things?"
Ayaan looked at the manager and smiled at him before nodding. When the manager saw Ayaan nodding, he immediately made a bill. He was acting as Ayaan would run away if he would delay any further.
After doing some maths, the manager looked at Ayaan and said, "Sir, your bill is five hundred golds."
Suddenly, the manager's behaviour took the one-eighty degree turn and spoke in a polite voice.
Although the manager didn't know who this boy was, if he was able to spend five hundred gold coins in just a single shopping, then he must be from an influential family.
Thereupon, Ayaan took out five hundred gold coins and handed them over to the manager without a single frown.
After counting the gold, the manager turned towards Ayaan and asked, "Sir, can you please tell me your address and I will arrange for someone to deliver everything to your place."
Ayaan already knew this shop would deliver his items to his place if the purchase crossed a specific limit. Therefore, he didn't feel surprised by the managers' offer and gave him the address of the shop.
Subsequently, the manager arranged two workers for delivering the furniture. Ayaan nodded towards the manager before exiting the shop together with Rebecca.
Afterwards, he looked at the two boys working in the heat, loading the furniture on the large trolley. Both boys were 5th-grade novice mage, but they were sweating profusely in this heat. Ayaan looked upwards and saw two burning suns in the sky.
Ayaan remembered, when he first arrived in this world, these two suns were the first to greet him. At that time, due to these two suns, he was able to tell that he had arrived in a different world.
As Ayaan was reminiscing in his memories, the two workers loaded all the furniture and dragged the trolley towards the shop.
Furthermore, Ayaan realised that the two boys were driving the trolly with their magic energy. There was some mechanism placed in the trolly.
Nevertheless, he didn't dwell on it; he wasn't an engineer in his previous world. Therefore, he wasn't much interested in the mechanism of the trolly.
Finally, ten minutes later, they reached the shop. After arriving there, Ayaan instructed the workers and told them to place the furniture wherever he wanted to set them. He also told them to put the counter at the right place.
After arranging the shop, it's look became somewhat decent. The condition of the shop completely changed.
Furthermore, Ayaan didn't need to whitewash the walls of the shop. They were already looking pretty decent. He didn't know what type of stone they had used to make the walls; it was the stone which was as white as the marble of the Taj Mahal.
The sofas and tables were all white coloured, matching with the white walls of the shop, increasing its beauty even more.
After arranging everything, Ayaan sent the two workers. However, before sending those two, he gave each of the two silver coins, which brought the smile on the tired and depressed faces of the two people.
Even after doing labour for an entire month, they couldn't earn two silvers. With this money, they would be able to feed their family for a month or two.
Anyways, for Ayaan, that was just a small matter. Furthermore, he had paid them because he felt they deserved this small amount of money for their hard work. They brought his furniture and even arranged them as Ayaan told them to.
Finally, Ayaan took out a large banner from his space ring. It was the shop banner, which he was going to use at the shop's entrance.
Ayaan walked out of the shop and looked above the shop's gate. After that, he placed the glue behind the banner and chanted a spell. Simultaneously, two small birds at the size of four inches appeared and started to circle above him.
The birds were white and had the magic power of the 9th-grade novice mage. At first, when Ayaan saw these birds, he felt as if he was looking at Birdy. Therefore, after killing these two birds, he turned them into an undead.
If Birdy was still conscious, she would curse him to death for doing such an evil act.
When Ayaan thought about Birdy, a bitter smile appeared on his face. After that, he took a deep breath and commanded the birds.
Both the birds heard his command and placed a corner in their beaks. Although they were looking small, both the birds were much more robust. In just a few flaps of their wings, birds reached their destination — Above the entrance.
Without any problem, the birds placed the banner on the wall. Afterwards, both the birds again started to circle Ayaan in excitement.
Rebecca saw their display and chuckle escaped from her mouth. Then she turned towards the banner and saw the three words written on it. "Heavenly Potion Shop."
