章 424: Captive

Ned rolled on the ground after Teklavit called out his magic. He could hear muffled voices but before he could assess the surrounding, Ned was dragged by the feet by something massive. Every footstep the beast made caused the ground to tremble. Every step the beast made silenced the crying and shouting around them. 

Moments later, Ned was seated with the black cloth still clinging to his head. Across him sat another person, he assumed. Silver over platter he could hear. The aroma of meat intruded his senses even under the cloth. Around him, Ned made out flickers of orange light lined almost adjacent to his head. Burning candles, he thought. The chair grated over wood, to which he assumed he was inside a shack of some sort.
