章 15: Turmoil in Emotions
Ender POV
Arriving at the village of Bernia I went to look around the town before coming across a sword in the ground.
Electricity was running through the sword, denying the village their water.
"You want to take it out?" Meliodas' voice sounded from behind me.
I shook my head in denial.
"No, bad things will happen if I do that.
The last time I tried to grab a sword that was stuck somewhere like that, I was chased by a crazy magic girl."
Meliodas shrugged and calmly took the sword out, scaring the knights who boasted about their invincible holy knight.
"You know that a holy knight will come here now that you did that," I said, annoyed.
"You always attract danger," responded Meliodas.
The knights took the sword while the village celebrated having their water back.
I could feel a change in the air, knowing thunder was coming.
General POV
Meliodas felt the spear coming so he came outside to catch it and send it back, but he rolled his eyes, seeing Ender trying to find a good place to stand.
Ender felt the presence of Meliodas, looked to him and smiled: "Hey, can I take care of it. I want to test something out."
Ender POV
Meliodas looked at the distance I looked at.
"If you don't kill him, I have no problem. Just be sure to aim well," said Meliodas.
The sword came with incredible speed and would piece any normal human.
Unfortunately for little Gil, I was neither normal nor human.
I frowned: "How I hate seeing such things. No matter where I go, I see weapons."
The moment the sword was a millimeter before my body, I pointed my finger back in the other direction, aiming for a good place.
"You can have this junk back, Gil."
I flicked my finger and the sword flew with double its speed back.
"You were never good at handling weapons, Ender.
Also, your aim sucks.
This will probably destroy whatever it hits," commented Meliodas.
I shrugged: "I have learned to control my power during the 3000 years. I have a reputation of no killing to uphold so have trust in me."
In the tower, Gilthunder sat on his throne waiting for a response.
Then the people heard a sound, and at that moment something came through the window.
The spear flew through the throne, destroying everything in its path, and landed a few meters outside in the earth.
Gilthunder has his eyes widened as he dodged the spear by reflex.
'No way could this be the strength of Meliodas. Still, I have to see who that was.'
Back at the village, Meliodas hit Ender on the head.
"You overdid it, you fool.
Shame on you trying to act cool. You failed miserably," scolded Meliodas.
"Oh, I am sorry that I rarely handle swords. Just this once I wanted to act cool," the Enderman replied.
Meliodas shook his head: "You should have let me handle it. What happen to you being a pacifist?"
Ender shrugged: "I did not attack him. His sword came to me."
Meliodas left for Elizabeth, seeing that he could not argue with Ender.
With Meliodas realizing that Gilthunder is coming after them, he left to hide inside the Forest of The White Dreams.
As they entered the forest, Ender looked around.
"Does anyone want to play Hide-and-seek?"
"I do!"
Many voices were heard and as Ender turned around, he saw many other Enders looking at him.
"Cool. I always wanted to see myself after some time.
Each Ender examined the copies of himself.
"Why are there so many Ender's?" Elizabeth asked.
"Hey, I am the real one." All of them said.
"You pathetic things are not me," said one.
"I am the strongest and nobody will defeat me," said another.
"Can I go to sleep?" asked another.
"Those are Hide-and-Seeks. They can impersonate one to confuse you.
They took Ender as the one to impersonate. How can we find the real one?" asked Hawk.
Meliodas just took out his sword and hit every Ender he saw.
As the sword touched the real one, his commandment activated, flinging Meliodas back.
"This is the real one."
The Hide-and-Seeks ran away while the group followed them.
The group found Diana and convinced her to help Elizabeth find the rest of the Sins.
But before they could leave, they heard thunder.
"Oh, he is already here? What should we do?" Ender exclaimed, faking panic.
The thunder came down and imprisoned Meliodas, Diana, and the rest.
Well, except for Ender, who casually grabbed the lightning around him and played with it.
"Ender, do something. We need your help," screamed Hawk as he tried to get out of his thunder prison.
Ender examined the thunder carefully before opening his mouth and eating it.
"You don't just eat lighting! Ender help us." Hawk screamed.
"Burb"
"My, delicious. Magic from humans tastes much better than the Graces from the Goddess clan.
Last time I did it, I had to be on the toilet due to diarrhea. I think I will just sit this one out, Hawk."
Hawk shouted at Ender about leaving them.
Elizabeth was confused and looked at a Meliodas who gave her a smile, showing her that everything is ok.
Seeing their expression, Ender shrugged. "Can't do shit. I am a pacifist."
Gilthunder arrived and talked about his and the Sins' past.
Ender just played silently with some stones when he heard enough.
"Ok, times up. Stop talking about the past.
No one wants to hear it.
I don't care what happened.
We are in the present so do something."
It shocked Gilthunder not feeling the presence of the voice.
His instincts did not tell him that there was another presence, so he turned around and saw Ender watching him.
"What are you?" asked Gil as he saw Ender for the first time.
"He is my assistant. Now, Ender, don't interfere," replied Meliodas.
The last sentence was given Ender a shudder as he knew that if he disobeyed, he would be punished.
Meliodas got Gil's attention again and both fought.
Ender just sat on a stone watching the fight.
He grew accustomed to demons far stronger then him fighting, so this fight looked like it was in slow motion.
Some dialogue there and there until Diana grabbed Gil and flung him away.
Hearing about Ban being imprisoned, the group went to rescue him.
Elizabeth interrupted this showing the other's the wound Meliodas had.
Ender frowned at seeing such kind of wound.
Although he was a coward and never fought, he still had his pride as a demon.
The only things that he had from his human side were the memories of the show and his pacifism, and even that started somehow to diminish.
Everything else was forgotten during the 3000 years.
Seeing Meliodas, his former captain, strongest demon in the demon clan, getting such a wound from a human none the less made Ender angry.
'A human defeating a demon?
Don't make me laugh. Humans are strong, but they are nothing in front of demons.'
Ender felt shame for the demon clan.
The only one who could be considered strong was Escanor, but all others?
What Ender didn't realize was that the curse of the Demon King showed its true nature.
The group made a detour to Dalmally Town to heal Meliodas.
Ender didn't want to stay around Meliodas at the moment so he did the thing he could do best; walk around aimlessly and find something else to do.
Ender POV
'How I hate seeing him like that. A demon wounded by a weak human not even stronger than a red demon. I am so angry that I want to punch someone.
Yeah, that's not a good idea.'
I shook my head making the thoughts disappear.
Walking down the street, I saw a large swarm of insects flying around, dropping acid on people.
As they came towards me, they started dying from their acid as it flew back to them.
Stupid bugs. I had enough of these useless fights and teleported to the prison.
I had good timing as I saw Ban coming out of his cell.
I watched as he took his cuffs out and frowned at the sight of blood.
Blood, it brought back memories I wanted to forget.
Jericho arrived and told the other knights to tell the others she killed Ban.
I almost blew my cover not to laugh. All of them think they are some kind of big shot.
Thinking they are the strongest.
My pride was hurt, but I contained myself.
They would soon feel the fear of the demon clan. I did not care for humans at all.
Only those I considered friends could live, but the others? They could die and I would just look away like I always did.
They would die sooner or later either way.
General POV
Ender sighed when Ban faked being killed.
"Can you please end this charade? You wanted to leave then leave and stop playing with this child."
Both turned to face Ender.
The undead smiled while the girl was horrified.
"How can you move and how can you be here? This prison is guarded by 4 holy knights."
Ender just facepalmed. 'Please, just finish this. I want to get out of here.'
It shocked Jericho seeing Ban had no injuries and it relieved Ender not seeing blood anymore.
As Ban showed his scar that he got from Meliodas, Ender muttered: "I could use this too, but it would probably heal then leave a scar.
Sometimes I think I would love to have powers."
After Ban stole Jericho's clothes, he greeted Ender.
"So you decided to visit old me, Ender?"
Ender shrugged. "Nah, it was just a coincidence.
Some princess wants to find the Seven Deadly Sins and I, as her friend, decided to help. Somewhere in the town is the captain as well as Diana.
Should we go?"
Ban nodded and both took a walk through the prison.
Then they encountered one of the holy knights that guarded the prison.
The place they stood was not well lighted so the holy knight focused his attention on Ban while Ender was simply ignored.
And that was the thing Ender hated the most; being ignored.
His strength was so weak that some people did not even notice him if their eyes were obstructed even if he was right in front of them.
The only ones who could do so were the one from the Goddess clan as they felt the darkness inside Ender.
So when the holy knight talked with Ban, Ender just stood behind him and made grimaces.
Ban even laughed, confusing the holy knight.
Ender looked away when Ban killed the knight.
He still could not watch people dying. It was something he hated from the beginning, but it grew when he was forced to watch his best friends die over a thousand times.
After that, Ban and Ender began to walk.
During the walk, Ender sensed someone use demonic energy.
'That must have been Meliodas, not letting his sword go.
Man, his power is pathetic. I hope he gets his powers back as fast as possible.
The first season of Seven Deadly Sins was kind of boring, as everyone's power level was kind of weak.
I long for holding my loved one in my hands and have a wonderful life and for that; I have to accelerate my plan.
Instead, I am forced to watch Elizabeth collect the Sins and defeating some useless knights. It makes me feel weird following a weak Meliodas.
I hope this ends fast and we can finally come to the important things.'
