It was his second week of this lifetime, and many villagers didn't sow their fields yet. The chief was sitting in his courtyard and pondering about something.
"Good morning." Aron decided to greet him with polite voice. Marcus understood crowd mentality pretty well, Carl couldn't stop villagers from bullying him. It would be useless, those people have high stress on their shoulders and no place to relieve it. Nothing was certain in middle ages, and you could just make small cut and die from infection few days later.
"Good morning, Aron." Village chief was little surprised by sudden visit of a white-haired boy. Everything that happens inside of village is known by almost all inhabitants. Number of people is too few and simple-minded group like them like to gossip about all events.
'Hmmm. What should I tell him? Let's make up some stories about passing wise man!' Getting chief support would allow him to control settlement without force.
"I meet strange man outside village. He gave me knowledge about creating miracles." The white-haired boy stopped and took long breath.
"This knowledge belongs to me. I could share this knowledge with Amber village. There is only one issue!" Aron didn't continue on purpose, and his idea was simple. Manipulate chief into his own plan, and rest of things will be easy.
"I heard about your creations from villagers. What's the problem?" Carl asked with anticipation, and those things could improve quality of lives of his people.
"It's simple. I have no reason to help this village at all. Furthermore, I hate most of 'your' people." His voice became little emotionless. He looked straight into chief's eyes and said.
"Tell me. Why should I improve lives of monsters like you? Give me one reason." Carl couldn't believe his ears. Those words were too extreme, yet they were truth. Most of villagers were stupid and bloodthirsty.
"I…I don't know. They did terrible things…Calling them monsters is little too much." Chief tried to defend his people.
"Stop you bullshit. You weren't one punched and kicked by those bastards. You don't know how it feel!" His voice carried strong anger and resentment, Carl started to regret his past actions. He could try to stop them, and maybe things would turn out differently.
"I didn't cross this village yet. Things are simple, you will accept me as your apprentice and cooperate with me." His tone became little threatening.
"Aron! Stop your nonsense! I don't need to hear any more words…I thought you will change into new leaf! You come to me and threaten me!" Carl wasn't stupid, offer was tempting but kid had nothing to prove his words.
"I gave you chance! Imagine that you missed opportunity to save their lives from constant fear of death!" It would be boring if chief could be manipulated like child, so Aron continued.
"You are old. There won't be any herbalist to take your place in future. How many years will they survive without you? One? Two? Maybe, three?" Something inside Carl snapped, his son died many years ago during winter. Death claimed life of his only son and apprentice. He couldn't die with consciousness of leaving all those people to their deaths. Being
"YOU WIN! If you are able to prove those words. I will do everything in my power!" None would follow things without proof, still boy already planted seed inside of Carl's mind and rest of the work was slowly cultivating the thought.
"Let's start from…"
'I will slowly build my reputation and gather resources and find a way to ensure my safety.'
The village position was pretty bad, the earth wasn't fertile, no unique resources or anything special and forest not far from there.
Good hunting area was a good thing for hunters, yet the village lacked in this aspect too. Roger gave up hunting and Casper had a daughter and no male descendants. He could teach someone outside of the family, yet hunting was dangerous work and most of the parents preferred their children to work on a farm or ranch.
Introducing crop rotation system, hygiene importance and few other important techniques or methods made chief extremely shocked. Those things weren't complicated or hard, most of those were basic knowledge in modern world.
'I will deal with blacksmith myself. He will pay for his actions.' Knowing person behind scenes allowed him to plan his next actions.
His plan was to build small factory for widows and process his plant matter with recently created devices. Introducing new devices needed to be done slowly, minds of villagers were extremely limited and weak-willed.
'I need to check library and input some knowledge to earn those points.' Anything that could improve his ability to survive was good at this point. Library contained knowledge from many dimensions and worlds, and so simple information about Destia should be there too.

'Search for books related to Destia world.' Power of information was bigger than people thought, lack of knowledge about world could paralyze his further plans. Existence of weird creatures and people with paranormal abilities defied common sense from Earth. He couldn't risk getting killed once again because of his stupidity or lack of knowledge.

'I will read those books later. I want this herb from Carl.' Previously, he didn't take it and Carl had hidden it pretty well.
White-haired boy checked Carl's house from far, it was empty. Chief was taking care of something in the village and it was free to enter. He jumped through the window and took the container with herb. Inserting small part of herb into space and putting container into same spot made his deed untraceable.
[Detected spiritual plant.]
[Fire Spark Flower]
[Desc: Low level spiritual herb with ability to trigger hidden potential of animals and beasts.]
'Nice. Let's cultivate it.' This plant gave chance of evolution to simple animals. Evolution was extreme effect, animal could just mutate a little. It didn't matter much, having ranch and farming space allowed him to test effects of this plant as much he wanted.
