Bab 93: 93 A Week
After spending another 5 minutes looking through the lightning skin spell manual, he had checked out the discharge spell manual.
It was laid out a similar way and it was another 2 star spell. The imprint actually look slightly less complicated than the lightning skin. If Ryan had to put them on a scale 1 through 100 on how complex it look. Lightning skin would be 30 and discharge would be 25 on the scale.
Ryan started to skim read the spell manual and the first section of it was about making the lightning storage. He didn't read to much of it but he got the jist of how it works.
In order to form a storage for the lightning, he would have to use this gesticulate spell that is in the manual. The storage will be the size of a pearl and made out of mana. You are supposed to form it at the center of your chest and every so often restrengthen the lightning storage with mana.
He was happy the gesticulate spell had an imprint too, with hand signs showing you how to perform the spell. With all the details written out, he feels pretty confident in making is own lightning storage.
He spent another 10 minutes at looking through the rest of the discharge spell manual before stopping to plan out his next move.
(I got 300 merit points left, and I must use them wisely. I had already check the missions but all of them not worth my time. So my main focus should be on ranking up as soon as possible, to get different missions and the ability to head in the dungeon.)
(To rank up it probably take 2 more demonic apples sadly. If I was able to not waste majority of the demonic apple i could probably rank up with just 1.)
(And I still need to make and imprint my spell. I could take more courses, but I feel like I should wait until I encounter a problem first. Than take a class specifically to fix that problem, and there no point to take classes on dungeon yet either.)
(So I guess I will spend my days cultivating and making my spell.)
Even though the cultivation room don't have a bed, but Ryan planning on staying here the entire time. It would be no better than a wooden bed.
Paying the merit points for eating and the cultivation room for a week shouldn't be more than 200 merit points. He won't be eating anything to fancy often. You can buy high quality food that will very slightly strengthen your body for the minimum of 1 merit point. He planning on only eating that occasionally.
(I guess the first thing i should do is learn how to perform these 2 spells first than make my own. That seems to make the most sense.)

Its been a week since the last time Ryan saw the siblings. He haven't bump into them around the academy because he spend most of his time in the cultivation room and the siblings don't have extra merit points to even go there yet.
Ryan only slept for around 4 to 5 hours a day and trained the rest of the hours. He never been this hard working growing up but that was because he never truly had anything pushing him to get stronger.
Of course he always wanted to be stronger and keep up with his family, but he never had a strong reason why he wanted her that other than just not liking to be weak.
Its not like now where he is constantly worried about his family safety and if he could even make it back home. He have to make sure he strong enough to stay in the academy and just staying alive period.
If he was still in his city right now, he would definitely train but just enough to keep up with his friends. He probably be hanging out with his friends and joking around with them most of the time as long as they are around his strength.
He may even be trying to get himself a girl, recently he starting to show more interest in female unlike before where it didn't actually mean much to him. He had liked Jessica but it wasn't that strong of a like.
But training over this week he still had the occasional thoughts about Jessica and the silver hair beauty. He was even tempted to go back to the Exchange hall to buy something just to see her. He didn't go at the end of the day, but it was not because he had his priorities straight, it was because he felt like she would just rush him away again. So he kept on training instead.
The progress he had made over the week was alot, he made it very close to the late stage of rank 1. He assumed he might just need one more demonic apple instead of 2 to rank up.
Ryan succeeded at casting the lightning skin which takes him 18 seconds to cast. It will never be useful in a fight like that but he doesn't need it for fighting.
He haven't cast the discharge spell yet because he didn't want to waste time in forming that lightning storage. He been focusing on making his own unique lightning storage.
He already got most of it planned out he just been having trouble making the lightning storage the right size and keeping the exact size constantly. He wanted to have the lightning storage under his skin like a tattoo and the precision needed for it is ridiculous. There was alot of trial and error with it but once he fine all the right measurements, everything after will be easy.
That whole process really tested how well he could control and senes mana. It was good practice for him and it had helped him refine his skills. If there was different levels in mana control and mana senes, he definitely would of went up another level in both.
Right now Ryan just left the cultivation room and is on his way to meet up with the siblings. It was time for them to make a decision to join the other team or not, and catch up a little.
