Ringkasan
Light started seeping in through the cracks in the destroyed building. The bright and blinding sunlight chased away the darkness of the night. It couldn't however chase away the dread that was lodged in my throat or the blade that lodged in my ribs.
I took small laboured breaths as my vision darkened despite the light pouring into the room. I wondered now where I had gone wrong. Ever since I'd woken up one morning in a bed that wasn't my own and saw a face in the mirror that wasn't my own while living as a villainess that I surely wasn't. I have been running to avoid the death flag that I knew waited for me at the end of this story.
Yet here I was lying on the floor of the building I had destroyed unable to differentiate if the red shining beads around me were the rubies that adorned my dress or pools of my blood that shone like gems in the new morning light.
This story was finally at its last pages with me dead and a happily ever after for the main leads proving undoubtedly that no matter what I could have done, I wouldn't have been able to change this ending.
