The djinn prince sat cross-legged on cushions on a platform raised by steps. Despite his youth, the prince had a large build—Fanfar had seen him three times within a mounth, and he was surprised at how quickly the prince had grown. He was examining the prince and was envious of him. Because, despite being in his mid-teens, Fanfar was still short. He wore shoes with hidden heels to look taller.
"This is unfair," Fanfar thought, as he wanted to disappear in his service uniform, which was two sizes too big for him. His gaze was riveted on the prince, analyzing him from head to toe, and the more Fanfar inspected him, the more envious he felt.
