Fanfar could ask him, "Jasper, is that you?"
So Jasper would turn to him and say, "Oh, Donatella! I finally found you. Come let me bite you."
That's why Fanfar didn't call him by his name. Instead, he said, "Here, all the materials are yours. I'm going."
He turned and bolted, but Jasper called after him, "Wait! You smell... divine. Just a moment!"
Fanfar's heart leaped into his throat. Without looking back, he broke into a sprint. "Nope, nope, nope!"
Jasper was swiftly following him. Despite his careful movements, the footprints were visible as colorful and vibrant paint marks. Fanfar was stealthing through the streets, his breath booming in his ears, jumping over rubbish and hiding corners.
"I said wait!" Jasper called, his voice now unnervingly close.
