Bab 44: Chapter 44

Ashley's POV

"Hello Ashley, are you still there?" Dante asked again, and I hung up.

Today had been a long day, and I needed to rest. I headed back to my apartment, hoping to get some sleep. Sleep was the only way I knew to escape the day's events.

I boarded a taxi and headed to my motel, and Dante kept on hitting my phone up. It was when I arrived at my room that I had to wonder how Dante got my number.

Wait a minute, Dante must have spoken with Cole, which meant Cole had told him the entire truth.

It hurt me to realize that he found a way to get my number because he discovered I was innocent; wouldn't he trash me again if I ever wronged him?

My phone started ringing again, and this time around I picked it up to hear him out.

"Yes, it's me, Ash—"

"I'm so sorry, little wolf," Dante pleaded.

My heart melted as ice when he called me "little wolf." I missed it.
