Prince Zephirin grabbed my hand and pulled me up. He forcefully dragged me away from our table into a secluded room. 

He locked the doors and the windows. He faced me with a fierce gaze. A lot of emotions crisscrossing his eyes. 

"I know you don't remember the feelings you have for me. But believe me when I say that I won't hurt Xerek, " I spoke first to assure him. "I don't even want to be here. Semius insisted on taking on this task and dragged me along. "

I wasted no time to throw Semius under the bus. The guardian was more trouble than he was worth. In the few days that he was in my life, he has cost me more than I can count. He got Ywain to hate me and drove Zephirin away from me.
