Chapter 19
"Here we go." Xavier muttered to himself as pain started spreading through his body. The enhancement serum entered his blood stream and began to energize the venom deposits that were left over and didn't absorb into Xavier's body. The process that Peter and he had come up with was that the serum would do exactly that- reactivate the venom deposits and force the body to finish the enhancement.
Neither brother could figure out why the process went unfinished, but there was no point in deliberating it as they had a way to fix it. Peter did some blood tests the week before and found that up to 90% of the venom didn't activate, possibly even more. The deposits were spread throughout their bodies, so the process wouldn't be a walk in the park.
To Xavier, it felt as if every inch of his body was catching fire. It started in his veins and arteries but as more blood pumped to and from his heart, the pain spread with it. It felt a lot like the night he first got bit- Only a hundred times worse. 'Fuck, no wonder it wasnt as bad as I thought.'
Eventually, the pain spread throughout his entire body. Even in places the sun doesn't shine, even in his eyes- Everywhere. At that point he couldn't hold in the pain anymore and began to scream at the top of his lungs, and he fought with the restraints. Luckily, or unluckily, he had bought a rare grade metal that was known for its durability. That was one of the main reasons the chamber cost so much.
In his mind, the forced finish of the enhancement may as well have taken hours or even days to finish. In reality It was exactly as Peter had told him, if off by about five minutes. After 25 minutes of hell, interrupted by regular injections of IV and nutrients, Xavier was able to crawl out of the now open chamber.
~Flop~
Xavier rolled over the edge of the horizontal chamber and layed on the floor like a sack of potatoes, which Peter was kind enough to point out to him.
"Peter, if you don't shut up, I'll tell Gwen you have a crush on her." Xavier grumbled, crawling towards the recovery smoothies Peter had bought.
"Heh, do that and I'll do the same with Cindy." He retorted, grabbing the smoothie before Xavier could swipe his. "Don't think, I haven't seen the looks you give her." He teased, waving the smoothie in front of his face.
"..." Xavier gave up reaching for it and dragged himself to a chain that was nearby. Once in it, he just slumped into it and kept his silence.
"Oh come on, nothing for your favorite brother?"
"One- You're my only brother." Xavier pulled himself up to sit right. "And second, I was gonna tell her at some point anyway." He said, snatching the other smoothie with a quick thwip of his wrist.
"Oh, that ruins my fun, Xavi! Why do you always ruin it?" Peter wailed, falling to his knees with crocodile tears.
Xavier chugged the smoothie, closing his eyes to rest for a moment. The fatigue that he felt at the moment was unlike anything he had ever felt before. He was surprised he had the energy to even snatch the smoothie. He felt as if every morsel of energy was stained from his body. And that was partially true. After all, he HAD essentially just forced his body to evolve.
'I wonder how my Status looks now.' He thought, summoning it with his mind.
[Notice: Due to a drastic growth in strength, the system has revamped how attributes are labeled. Ratings with an effect like strength will now list how much the user can lift instead of a static number. Others like Intelligence will stay the same. These values are very close to what the user could use. Users will be able to use 95% of these values, the only exception being extreme circumstances.]
[Notice 2: Dexterity has evolved and folded into the Spider's Body skill.]

"... Huh, that's a lot more like it. Too bad I'm too tired to test it out."
Moving on, Peter went through the same process and was forcefully enhanced. The result was the same with the only difference being that Peter could lift a flat 10 and his top speed was capped at 100. With both of them having gone through the process, the boys dragged themselves home to their apartments. Luckily it was Friday and they could sleep in.

They could not sleep in. MJ showed up at their house at around 7:00 AM since the press conference was scheduled for 8. Only for her to find that neither boy was awake and not responding to any method of her attempts at waking them.
"All right, you asked for this." With the help of Uncle Ben, both boys were dropped into the bathtub. Where they were awoken with a very cold shower.
"Ahh!" Peter actually jumped out of the tub, while Xavier lurched away from the water- Almost trying to stick to the ceiling to escape it. Luckily he had the sense of mind to stop himself from doing that in front of his family and MJ.
"Come on you two. You promised to be up early to go to that conference and help your friend. I'll drive you over in a half hour." Uncle Ben reprimanded the two of them, with May giggling to herself behind him.
Half an hour later, Xavier, Peter and MJ had arrived at the news conference. 'Thankfully, using another recovery smoothie gave Peter and I enough energy to function. And by going to this event, hopefully I can put my new gadget to use.' Xavier glanced at his inventory. In there was his third prototype of spider-bot.
While he was working on the enhancement chamber, he had been trying to make his own conversion of the spider-bots from the superior spider man series. He had mild success because he had gone for a complicated version that not only was smaller than his palm, but could collapse into a sort of coin. Xavier had truthfully stolen the data off of Miles's laptop one day at school so he could use the programmable matter from his project.
It was difficult to work with at first, but it had similar uses as his own 'collapsible tech' as he called it. He called it that because the stuff could extend and retract because of clever uses in proportions and complicated machinery. Anyway, the programmable matter didn't do much for his bots other than them being able to stick to walls with artificial gravity wells. It was an accidental by-product of the use of the matter but useful all the same.
In the end, he had built a few prototypes of them but his recent build was the most suitable for what he wanted. It was a small bot that was about the size of a coin. This was because it could collapse into a coin. It was all black with golden highlights- just like his own suit. He had made it this way because he planned to use this model as a sort of entrance token into his future base. That and by pressing the coin into a cell phone, it would upload his Weaver contact onto it.
He figured it was the perfect time to use and test out the bot, and a second one that would tag along for the ride and hide out in Stark's house. 'Probably going to be found eventually, but it's worth a shot."

Btw here's the image that I like the best that depicts Xavier's suit. (Comments)
