Bab 43: Chapter 43 – From snake into a dragon

A group of people are currently rushing towards the outpost base just outside the forest area. Upon arriving they saw a large number of people looking at a large corpse of a snake.
As Curt and his team enter the base, they could immediately hear many people already trying to bid for the snake on the large truck. It seems that the truck just arrives not long ago. Well, it is understandable as the terrain is that rough and sometimes walking is faster than those huge trucks carrying corpses of those monstrous beasts.
When they walk inside the huge metal gate they immediately saw Alvin Senerio who is waving his hand like some experienced sales personnel trying to sell some luxury goods. In fact, the snake is currently being auctioned to the highest bidder.
Soon the price has already skyrocketed to millions of credits which almost blinded the team. Although they expected the corpse to sell really high, they never expected it to reach millions of credits.
Curt did not bother with what is happening and decided to immediately go inside a room in that outpost.
He needed to finish something and then move out to search for Jenny Mae Lee. However, the things with him are a bit cumbersome and needed to be stored somewhere else. Right at this time he already decided to create a ring that contains space.
Once inside the room, Curt immediately locks the door, then takes out the things inside his bag and put them on the table.
He takes out the precious stones that his disciple has given him and also the dimensional beast tears. Curt did not waste time and immediately created a circular array on the ground and put those two items. Then he takes out a small sapphire blue sapphire which he bought in a store a few days ago.
Although the gem that his disciple gave him is good, yet it is not that strong as a sapphire, this time he decided to compound the two stones and make a stronger stone to hold the space.
After compounding the two stones suddenly became dull looking and when combined with the dimensional beast tears it suddenly turned brown. It now looks like an unadorned wooden ring.
The process was a bit easy because the amount of LEP in the air is enough for the array to function properly. After creating the dark brown ring, Curt immediately pricks his finger and drops a portion of his blood on the ring.
Suddenly it grows a bit brighter and then turned back to its dull color once again.
"That space is… Wow… I never expected that compounding those two precious stones would result in this…" Curt muttered to himself.
This is because, right at this moment, he is looking at an area with a 5x5 expanse of space. It's like a small living room.
With a happy smile on his face, he was really excited at this prospect.
"I never would have expected the process to be that effective and without a failure… I guess this is because of the dimensional beast's tears." He thought as he admires the space inside.
Then he tried to bring those things in front of him with a thought. However, what happened next made him a bit helpless. He realized something right at this moment.
"I forgot… I don't have my spiritual sense yet…" Curt muttered.
So he manually touches each of the items and they were all sent inside his ring one by one. Soon he takes out the prepared wooden box and puts inside it a single stalk of a flower. He also wrote down the prescription and how to prepare it inside the box.
When Curt walks out of his room, two soldiers are already waiting for him.
"Mr. Nilfiem, we have to return now." a soldier said.
Curt nodded his head and then gestured for the soldier to walk inside his room. The soldier came out not long later and the two guarding Curt's room followed after him as he waves his hand towards them. The three of them gather with the rest of the squad and after some instructions, they left the base with a bit of hesitation.
"Is he going to be okay?" said the captain of the group.
"I think so captain… that guy… he… he is not normal. He is not an esper, but he is something else."
"Why did you say that?"
"Well, he knew a lot of things that we don't…. If my guess is correct he is going after the esper team."
"What? Why would he do that? Those people are already very powerful."
"I don't know he asks for their coordinates."
The military left the outpost and the military convoy was divided into two groups. One went back to Kor City the other one went to Tup town.
Not far behind them, is another convoy is secretly following. When the military divided into two groups this convoy also divided into two and followed those military vehicles.
Curt immediately left the outpost and went back to the forest on foot. Not too far from him, a group of esper mercenary is secretly following.
When he was able to enter the forest, his figure suddenly vanished from where he stood.
Suddenly, those espers discovered that his presence was gone.
"Damn it! How did he escape?"
"I knew something is wrong with that guy… I mean how could an ordinary person come to this place? He might be a powerful expert, right? We should report this to the leader."
"We can't disturb the leader. They are going against a group of strong espers from Kor city. Radio contact is disabled already."
"What should we do then?"
"Let's search along with this area. Maybe that guy did not leave that far yet."
The group began searching for the place. But unknown to them, Curt is already in the other direction towards the mountainous area on the opposite side.
His speed is a bit fast as a talisman is currently on his foot, making him able to move above the trees as if he is flying.
"This is awesome…" Curt muttered as memories made him feel like everything is like a déjà vu.

Meanwhile, in the deep forest, the group of espers from Kor city has already entered the territory of the snake when they suddenly feel an eruption of LEP energy in the air. This eruption made everyone feel a dangerous vibe which made them suddenly want to run away from this area.
"What was that?" Alan Kane asked while gripping his wand tightly.
"I think some beast in the area just evolve… this is a sign that the beast is very strong." Jenny Mae Lee replied while she vigilantly looks around.
Suddenly, the group stopped and they immediately went on a defensive formation.
Not too far from them, another group is also watching this scene but dare not to show themselves. This is because they are afraid to ruin their plan to ambush and destroy this ensemble of powerful espers from Kor City.
While this is happening, inside a cave a long and slender creature slowly crawls out of the dark cavern. Its huge body has a silvery scale and now it has grown longer. It now reached around 15 meters in length, and its body is now as thick as a tree.
With silvery scales surrounding its body, the poisonous snake has now turned into a flood dragon.
As it crawls out of its nest, it soon reaches the river outside its nest. The cave, where the flood dragon lives, is located near a riverbank hidden within some thick bushes.
It silently swims in the dark and murky water as it searches for some prey. On its way, the flood dragon began devouring some of those unsuspecting beasts. However, none of those small beasts could satiate its hunger.
Suddenly it turned its gaze towards a certain direction. It could sense that in that direction there is a large number of strong energy vibe. Its body suddenly feels excited as it silently swims in that direction.
Meanwhile, a little distance away from this place, a figure is already running as fast as he could towards the direction of the esper team from Kor city.
Curt showed a smile on his face as he feels the breeze of air hitting his face. Right now, he is not using his core to run but a talisman. That's why he could maintain such speed even after a few minutes have already passed.
Curt suddenly feels that strong aura but didn't stop on his track. He didn't know what is happening, but his heart could not calm down. He felt anxiousness though his mind is trying to calm down. As two kinds of memories and attitudes are fighting within his subconscious mind, Curt feels a complex emotion.
Soon he reached a spot and stopped for a while. He then takes out another wind talisman and then sticks it on his foot. Then when he was about to run again, he suddenly noticed that something is wrong with the surroundings.
"The aura that I felt a while ago is an aura of a dragon… and these beasts are slowly gathering to witness the might of the new king of this forest," Curt muttered as he observes the beast below the trees which are slowly moving towards a particular direction.
"This is bad… this is really bad," Curt said as he suddenly takes out his mask donned it and then takes out a sharp arm-length blade from his ring.
Curt grips the handle of the blade tightly as he quickly continues moving forward.
A battle is going to happen soon and he needed to arrive in that place. Although he has already prepared himself for the worst, he still could not help but worry that something would happen. And this worry of him is actually coming true.
Right now, within the territory of the flood dragon, a group of espers are facing the large creature itself.
Panic could clearly be seen in many of the espers faces. But no one dares to retreat.
It is not known whether it is because of the allure of fame and fortune, or their confidence in the power of the two most powerful esper in the group, Tempest, and Vipercrown. But one thing is for sure, everyone in this place has a mixed emotion while looking at that giant looming figure.
Suddenly, the flood dragon roared in the air, and immediately after that loud roar, it rushes toward the tiny human below it.
When that flood dragon did that, those who are watching from afar, immediately received their order to prepare to snipe those espers in the crowd.
A deadly battle is about to commence and no one could tell who would win and who would lose their lives in this dangerous forest.
