Bab 228: Escape

Present day…

Leo's voice cut through Eliana's thoughts like a knife, pulling her back to the present. 

"He drank your blood? That's…interesting," he said, but his face twisted into a disgusted expression.

"He drank my blood," she said through gritted teeth, her tone laced with revulsion and anger. 

The memories flooded back. A shiver ran down her spine as she relived the chilling experience. It was a violation unlike any other, something she never wanted to experience again.

Leo's expression turned thoughtful as he considered her words. "Could it be that he's part vampire?" he asked, tilting his head.

Eliana hesitated, mulling over the possibility. "But vampires drink blood directly from the vein, don't they?" she pointed out, her brows furrowing.

"Yes," Leo agreed with a slight shrug, "but maybe he prefers it… served to him."
