After planning his future moves Cui Wen decided to breakthrough to the Golden Core realm after finally getting rid of the horrific poison.
He firstly dressed himself in a newly made golden black daoist robe with various functions. It had the ability to dust itself/clean itself and was very durable. Even a Qi Condensation cultivator could not scratch it with their strongest attack.
"Truly a splendid piece of clothing" Cui Wen said to himself now staring through the mirror. With a chiseled jawline, slightly sunken in cheeks, plump lips, sharp nose bridge and thick eyebrows the young Cui Wen could be said to be a model.
Cui Wen disliked his newly acquired long hair as a 21st century man but who cares. It's the drip out here, gotta follow the trend. He thought.
Finally the last touch, a saber forged personally by the well known Grand Elder of the Cui Clan. The shining sharp saber made to kill with deadly slashes almost looked intimidating even in it's sheath.
Eventually Cui Wen stepped out of his own personal pagoda and entered the lustrous large courtyard filled with a pond and various different trees.
"Lin Xuan, inform the clan I will be a little late to the ceremony." Cui Wen stated firmly towards the servant waiting in the courtyard.
"Yes, Young master." He replied eventually after thinking about warning the young master of his choice.
However he knew his place as a mere servant and a member of the Lin family that was a vassal of the Cui Clan.
Giving one last look at his servant Lin Xuan Cui Wen turned to the left and walked along the stone path towards his personal training abode. Taking in the scenery and various arrays set up using his Qi sense it was a whole different world.
The world almost looked too colorful to live in. As he continued on his way several servants mostly female greeted him enthusiastically and he simply nodded however this time they were super happy. Usually the cold and aloof Young Master would not even spare them a glance.
They giggled a little bit when he left and finally thought their efforts paid off.
Eventually he reached his abode carved into the mountain with various different arrays imbued into it. He mostly guessed they were Qi gathering arrays alongside some defensive.
Seeing the door in the distance his memories resurfaced of when he stepped out all bloody accepting his death after the failed breakthrough.
Cui Wen shaked his head before finally entering the abode. There were several blue crystals on the walls lighting the place up. It looked really lazily made up almost like they were in a hurry to build it.
It was basically a blocky square space inside. He saw a bed in the corner with various jars filled with a brownish pill, this pill was used to avoid hunger during seclusion however he didn't need them ever since Cui Wen broke through to Foundation Establishment.
And finally the dark reddish pillow in the middle the room. This is where Cui Wen cultivated his whole life.
However suddenly when inspecting the room he took notice of something. The diary laying on the bed for him to read.
Immediately he almost teleported to the bed and grabbed it. The now dusty diary had almost withered from the aftereffects of his breakthrough however with resilience it stood strong.
Cui Wen opened the first page.
"I am writing this diary as hope of me surviving the poison. I will probably lose my memories as the side effects so that's why.
Anyways now, I successfully managed to awaken my Cui bloodline. It enables us to summon a tower casting illusions upon foes.
Mine is different, it's a lot stronger. I suspect it is because of my talent but use this to get to the academy.
Another thing, do not trust Lin Xuan. I will make sure to kill him myself.
I regret not being able to escape death but this must be fate." The diary wrote.
There was still some remaining text however it was very scribbled.
"I must have been hurried." Cui Wen thought and closed the diary tossing it into his spatial ring.
Even though it was short he learned critical information about Lin Xuan. He is probably a spy Cui Wen thought and went to meditate.
Although he didn't know how to breakthrough to Golden Core, with past Cui Wens memories it was different.
Essentially using the Qi in his body he must establish a core in his dantian refining and compressing it. There are different Core qualities and he is going for Violet. It is also possible to imbue a bit of thunder spiritual roots into it giving him bonuses with the thunder affinity.
"Now" Cui Wen gathered all of his Qi in the dantian and started compressing it. At the same time he began refining the meridians and his Golden core using the remaining Qi.
This required exceptional control however he was that talented.
Eventually 15-20 minutes pass before the tribulation clouds start gathering above his abode. At this point Cui Wen doesn't care if the person who poisoned him is watching. He will go all out.
Finishing the refining of his meridians Cui Wen starts rapidly compressing the now small core imbuding the refined Qi into it.
Excessive ammounts of lightning strikes continue to fall upon his abode destroying everything in it's surroundings.
Meanwhile..
"Grand Elder we have finished all preparations" a middle aged looking man In a daoist robe bowed his head.
"Good job, go entertain our guests" the Grand Elder replied nonchalantly to the middle aged man eerily similar to Cui Wen in terms of appearance.
Eventually he left and the Grand Elder continued his duties. His birthday banquet would soon commence now reaching age 1000 at the King Realm.
Several leading powerhouses, clans, sects, and even a envoy of the Xi royal family had come.
"Hahaha.." the Grand Elder laughed to himself weirdly.
...
The banquet would soon start and all it's guests were excited. Finally they could see the Grand Elder of the Cui Clan in public.
The various powerhouses, Swordburn Sect, Xi Royal Family, Ye Clan, Jiang Clan, Ten Thousand Maiden sect, various pavilions and other Cui subsidiary branches attended.
The total people amounts to over 2000 at this point. Including the young geniuses everyone brought to showcase.
At the banquet the Cui family numerous geniuses numbered over 20 gathered at a table to engage in Dao discussions.
"Look who we have here if it isn't Cui Chen!" An arrogant looking young man sat on the chair greeting his rival.
"Nice to see you to Cui Feng" Cui Chen responded merely nodding at him then ignoring.
"Tsk" Cui Feng gazed at him with disdain before averting his gaze.
Then a female daoist came from the distance towards their table.
"Hello Senior Brothers!" Cui Xinxin greeted the various other Cui geniuses at the table before taking a seat.
Her fragrance was immediately unleashed upon the young men making them slightly excited.
"Junior Sister, you are so pretty." Cui Yin said flattering her hoping to become dao companions after she took a seat.
"Hmph" she merely glanced at the average looking man realizing he wasn't much.
Eventually the table turned silent before Cui Chen asked.
"Where is Senior Brother Cui Wen?" He asked curiously looking around the tables.
"Would be a lot better if that brat wasn't here" Cui Feng said in anger releasing his aura towards the table.
"Are you still angry at Senior Brother Cui Wen defeated you 6 years ago?" Cui Xinxin replied mocking him openly with her tone.
Immediately the lower ranked Cui geniuses took a deep breath.
It was well known Cui Wen had utterly destroyed Cui Feng in a friendly spar 6 years back.
"Courting death!" Cui Feng immediately shouted jumping off his chair to punch Cui Xinxin.
She simply giggled watching Cui Feng trying to attack her.
"What an idiot" Cui Xinxin thought to herself continuing to sit nonchalantly.
Eventually Cui Chen interfered blocking the punch and putting his arm around Cui Feng hoping to avoid embarrassing themselves.
"Brother Feng calm down, we are at a banquet right now" Cui Chen reminded him.
Cui Feng let out a sulk before looking around meeting the other geniuses gazes with no fear.
"Bitch" He muttered in revenge hoping to anger the junior sister.
"Bla blah!" She replied to his insult enraging Cui Feng even more.
A vein popped on his forehead and he was just supposed to retort before a Clan Elder interfered.
"Behave yourselves brats! This is the Grand Elders banquet!" he sent a voice transmission alongside a death glare.
Cui Feng clenched his fist before sitting down ignoring his junior sister.
"Phew. " Cui Chen muttered glad they didnt embarass their clan anymore and sat down.
A few minutes passed and Cui Chen saw Cui Wens servant in the distance and motioned for him to come.
Lin Xuan understood and approached the table with Cui geniuses.
"What can I help you with Young Master?" He bowed his head before standing straight.
The Cui geniuses followed Cui Chens lead and gazed at him.
"Where is Senior Brother Cui Wen?" He asked simply taking a drink from the table.
"Young Master Wen said he would be late, I apologize" The servant continued before stepping back.
"Hmm, alright go" he motioned the servant to go away.
"Who does he think he is?" Cui Feng was angry at his obvious lack of respect.
"Senior Brother Wen must be busy!" Cui Yin replied hoping to calm him down.
"Shut up weakling!" Cui Feng cut him off after.
The table beside the Cui Clan was the Bai Clan, they are a middlesized clan filled with more women for some reason.
The sisters continued in their gossip at the table sending a few glances towards Cui Chen and Cui Feng. The Cui family was a good family to marry into and whoever could catch their hearts would live a good life. Especially Cui Wen the well-known genius of the Cui Clan.
Cui Wen was the youngest person ever to reach Foundation Establishment at the age of 11 now reaching Gold Core at 15 how would they react.
The Jiang Family, Ye Family and Swordburn Sect were sat at the opposite side of them. Alongside several middle sized families like the Lin family, Yang family and so on.
Many were busy entertaining themselves with others while other daoists simply waited for the banquet to start.
And finally did the Xi Royal Family enter, immediately hundreds of guests welcomed them hoping to gain their favor.
"Greetings Masters." These words surfaced thousands of times around the hall.
It was well known the Xi Royal Family ruled the entire Great Xi Land.
This time the siblings Xi Yuan and Xi Yan came together to attend the banquet. Xi Yan is one of the most worshipped goddess around the world for her beauty and status.
Dark blue hair ran down her back with a plump bottom and heavenly curves sticking to her robe alongside feminine features on her face and Phoenix eyes it could captivate any man.
Obviously the numerous Cui geniuses gazed at her in admiration and lust seeing her walk down to hall to then sitting at the front table next to them.
She simply sat down with her brother and Royal escorts paying no mind to the commotion.
Eventually the commotion settled and everyone were now waiting for the Grand Elders entrance.
However that wouldn't be everything as a minute later clouds started gathering around the sunny banquet.
"Whats going on?" The royal escort questioned in worry to his comrade.
"No need to worry it is simply a tribulation." Xi Yuan brushed it off as nothing.
However who would dare to breakthrough at this moment?
Many thought this as they stared outside the hall. Some even exited to watch the tribulation land.
Immediately Cui Chen finally knew what was happening..
"Senior Brother Cui Wen is breaking through!" Cui Chen shouted making sure people around him could hear it.
Cui Chen admired his brother greatly and wouldn't hesitate to brag.
Cui Feng couldn't believe it, he was almost 19 and still hadn't broken through to Golden Core..
"No way, this can't be it's impossible. He is only 15 years old!" Cui Feng remarked in anger and glared towards Cui Chen.
"Wanna bet?" Cui Chen replied cheekily bringing out his pouch of spirit stones.
Cui Feng ignored him and continued thinking about Cui Wen, how he had been humiliated he still remembers it to this day.
"300 spirit stones Brother Feng, do you dare?" Cui Chen asked him.
"Shut up!" Cui Feng shouted before turning silent.
A lot of others now remembered the genius Cui Wen. Afterall he had not attended a single event after defeating Cui Feng.
Many thought he got injured and therefore never showed himself.
The royal siblings also glanced outside and made sure to remember his name.
