Bab 282: Ana

"Are you okay?" Xasha asked in a voice filled with concern as he excavated Joi from the rock formations and fed her some healing potions. The Mantis Queen, as always, watched everything in an aloof manner. Xasha couldn't help but marvel at this strange creature and all its unprecedented actions and behavior.

Joi coughed up a mouthful of blood before giving Xasha an apologetic smile. The healing potions acted fast but not fast enough before the Mantis Queen ended the waiting game and blinked over with a deadly sword ray in tow. 

Joi tossed Xasha to the side and blocked the attack with a light screen. The damage was subverted, but the force from a full-powered attack against a hastily prepared defense sent her flying. The potions Xasha gave her replenished her strength, which helped to stabilize herself before crashing into the walls again. A white diagram that looked like a magic circle appeared before Joi, twirling.
