Huo Yuhao was still twirling the spear in his hands, having the best time of his life. He was on his way to the back garden of the house, where there were some very unique vegetables, fruits, and herbs with powerful effects. This was also one of the reasons for choosing this world as a starting point.
"You really enjoy using spears, don't you?" asked the tuna as she watched him twirl the spear with a smile on his face.
"I mean, who doesn't? Swords are nice and all, but in a way, they are overdone. Spears, lances, scythes, and staffs need more attention, you know," replied Yuhao as he opened the back door leading to the garden.
And he has a point—his favorite characters were all lancers in Fate, though sadly, Fate didn't favor lancers that much.
He even dreamed of being trained by the [Witch of Dún Scáith] one day, but the entry point to the Fate world is out of reach right now. After all, his entry would be like a foreigner to the world, and the Counter Force would be hunting him down like a mad dog.
And there was no guarantee that the [Witch of Dún Scáith] would train him; she is extremely picky when it comes to choosing her students. The only favorable trait that Yuhao has right now is that he will face gods in the future and his love for spears, so there isn't much of a chance of being accepted by her.
'Sigh, maybe I should look for another teacher. There are other famous spear users in the multiverse that I can learn from in my journey,' Huo Yuhao thought to himself as he watched the scenery while standing at the backdoor.

The house was located in the middle of the most dangerous forest in Argena, a forest filled with calamity-class monsters that could end nations with ease. The sage who built this house can't really stop flexing his talents, can he?
The house itself was surrounded by an impenetrable barrier that blocked any being with ill intentions toward the owner of the house, which was the reason why this house was still standing and not raided by monsters or people.
The scene outside the barrier was filled with nothing but a sea of trees surrounding the house. The sun was shining in the sky, casting a gentle glow over the forest, giving it a fairy tale-like feeling. Huo Yuhao admired the scenery quite a bit.
"It looks peaceful, but I am sensing dangerous monsters inside the forest. Well, not dangerous for me, but you get the idea," commented the tuna as she observed the scenery from the stigma space.
And Yuhao simply replied with a nod as he made his way toward the garden.
"Let's see. Kiana, you might lose your marbles when you see this," he commented, eagerly awaiting her reaction when she learned the effects of the plants in the garden. Kiana just showed a puzzled expression on her face.
He picked up the watering can and appraised it, and as expected from the flexing sage:

"What in the name of Honkai? How can there be an infinite source of water in a watering can, and it's Holy Water?" the tuna screamed as she read the appraisal results of the watering can.

"Yep, that sage is flexing on us," Huo spoke in an amused tone, but he still didn't find the main herb that he wanted. He looked around for a bit, ignoring the hysterical tuna in his head, and finally found it.
[Complete Recovery Herb]: Consuming this herb can cure all kinds of wounds and diseases, even if you are missing limbs or blinded. In addition, the herb can also function to restore magical power. When picked, it leaves seeds behind to quickly regrow. This herb exceeds any legendary-class herb.

And Huo Yuhao simply shrugged. The more power he has, the better. Sure, training might be difficult, but he is willing to go through it as long as he gains more power. All he is missing is a plastic chair and a blue trench coat to impersonate the motivation machine that saved all the weebs across the internet at least once.
Yuhao stored some of the plants inside the [Item Box]. He was going to cook a nice meal for himself, his mother, and the tuna living inside the stigma space.
"If I remember correctly, there were two monsters that were quite close to the vicinity of the house. I wonder where they are." And sure enough—
*BAMM*
Yuhao gazed at the monster that slammed into the barrier of the house. It was a black slime with many eyes sticking out of its body; it looked disgusting and gross. Yuhao appraised it, and the result:

He wanted to use the [Absolute Spear] to kill it, but that would be a newbie mistake; everyone knows that slimes are resistant to physical attacks. Git gud, scrub.
And for the final reason why Yuhao chose this world as a starting point: the drop items. In Argena, when you kill a monster, drop items appear. The items are magical and unique, but they are also unpredictable.
You can get a full suit of armor from killing a monster, but you can also gain a ring that increases your stats when equipped. The items can range from pretty mundane stuff to broken items that can help you build a kingdom if you wish to.
And being a holder of the broken skill [Golden Rule], this entire forest can be considered a farming ground for Yuhao.
"Kukukukuku, hahahaha. Yes, this is the true hoarder gamer in me. Hahahaha," Yuhao was having the time of his life, while Kiana looked at his facial expression with disgust.
"At least look human, Yuhao," she said as she sent a wave of energy to knock on his head to snap him out of his current state.
*Cough* *Cough*
He coughed into his hands and recomposed himself as he made his way toward the drop items of the ugly-looking slime. He appraised the drop items and barely resisted the urge to start laughing like a villain again.
(An: I will be adding drop items and changing them from the original, okay? So if you have ideas for drop items, comment them.)
[Hell Slime Jelly: An item made from the remains of Hell Slime. It has 99.99% conductivity efficiency for magic.]
[Hell Slime Bonbon: A coffee-flavored bonbon. Consuming it can increase magical power and defense.]
[Evil Moon Earrings: A rare drop from Hell Slimes. It can increase various stats if worn at night. It also collects sunlight and converts it into magic power, constantly restoring the wearer's magic power. Contractor: Huo Yuhao.]
[Hell Slime Core: The heart of the Hell Slime. It's filled with a huge amount of magical power and can be used in the process of creating armor.]

He stored the drop items into the [Item Box] and made his way toward the fence of the garden, where another ugly-looking monster kept banging on the barrier. A quick appraisal and the result:

'This is weird. We are 4-5 years before the plot begins, but we encountered the two monsters that appeared at the beginning of the plot. Is it staged by the sage or Argena's consciousness?' Yuhao wondered, feeling a bit suspicious.
And he has a point, you know. The two monsters were the starter monsters that got Yuuya (the original protagonist) to a level that was barely enough to venture out of the house and enter the forsaken forest without dying.
"Bullshit protagonist plot armor, I see," he said as he stroked his chin, his tone sounding like he uncovered the mysteries of the universe. (lol.)
*BAMM* *BAMM*
The monster kept banging the barrier as if its life depended on it. Yuhao twirled the spear in his hands as he stared at the monster.
"You will be my first stepping stone on my path to becoming the luckiest lancer, ugly monster," he said as he rushed toward the monster, jumped into the air, and aimed his spear at the heinous-looking creature. He looked like a certain lancer clad in a blue combat suit, and then, with all his might, threw the spear at the monster.
The spear flashed in front of the monster and instantly pierced through its body. The monster couldn't even notice that it was already dead before turning into drop items.
The attack created a crater surrounding the embedded spear. And Yuhao simply raised his palm in the air, and the [Absolute Spear] rushed to his hands. The moment it touched his hand, Yuhao twirled the spear and landed it beside him.
"Damn, it is so cool," he said with a grin on his face.
"Well, if you want to use a spear that much, I have combat data about spear users stored in the stigma space, and the 6th divine key can be split into two parts—one of them is a spear," said the Herrscher of Finality, and she added.
"I can also extract combat data from the previous holders of the divine key and make it into a combat simulation so you can train with them if you want."
And Yuhao showed a touched expression on his face. He knows the previous holders of the 6th divine key and how special her relationship with them was, so for her to make a simulation using their data to train him was quite touching.

In the original story, Yuuya reached level 100 by killing the [Bloody Ogre] with the [Absolute Spear]. He leveled up instantly after killing it, which is why Yuhao is confused.

Phew, this chapter is about 2.8k words without the author's note. It took longer than usual.
I am not going to use the original status numbers. It is hard to keep track of, and they don't really mean anything in the original novel. It wasn't exactly explained. I will keep the leveling-up aspect as when humans reach level 1000, they ascend to become [Transcended Humans] in the original, and I will keep that.
But I am removing the stats as they don't mean anything in the original.
For example, Yuuya had [Attack: 3000] but can kill a monster that has [Defense: 5000] sure it might be attributed to his Op weapon but there was a scene that he killed a monster that was 200 levels above him with his bare hands; stats are thrown out the window in this world just to make the protagonist cool and all.
So, I am not using this stats system. The only stat system that made a bit of sense is in Danmachi; at least they tied the numerical stats with letters, like 999S and 1000SS and so on, so you know how strong that stat is when compared to others at the same level.
Don't worry, I won't nerf my Yuhao, but the stats system will be modified by the tuna.
Anyways, we reached 50k words in the previous chapter. Yatta!
Honestly, when I started this fanfic, I didn't think I would reach that point. So, seeing the story reach beyond 50k was quite a shocker.
And as I have said before, if we reach 20 reviews, I'll upload the next chapter in a couple of hours or so.
