December Double Drop!

In the Plane of Euthymia...
Sensing a familiar presence, Ei slowly put down the light novel she was reading.
In front of her, the Raiden Shogun—identical in appearance—approached, her gaze sweeping disdainfully over the fully packed bookshelves of light novels scattered around the floor.
"What is it?" the Raiden Shogun asked coolly.
Typically, as a puppet, she rarely projected her consciousness into the Plane of Euthymia unless the situation was crucial.
Ever since her growing fondness for Luo Qing, she and Ei had barely spoken, their interactions strained by jealousy and ideological differences.
But today, Ei had called her here, saying there was something important they needed to discuss.
"I think you realize it too. Luo Qing has used some kind of technique to manipulate our emotions, making us develop these feelings for him. Isn't that right?"
"..."
"Is this what you called 'important'?" The Raiden Shogun's brows furrowed slightly.
"What if I told you... there's a way to remove those feelings?" Ei's voice was calm.
Ever since she discovered Luo Qing's ability to manipulate emotions, she had been pondering how to break free.
But the feelings seemed to be genuinely hers, with no trace of external tampering. While her affection hadn't reached the same level as the Raiden Shogun's, she knew that if she couldn't find a way to break free, there would come a day when even she would become Luo Qing's puppet... no, his person.
To have feelings for Luo Qing meant her emotions would be influenced by his every move. If he were to vanish one day, she couldn't bear to imagine what she might become.
She didn't want to experience the pain of losing someone important ever again.
This was not the path of eternity she had sought.
And so, faced with a choice between Luo Qing and her pursuit of eternity, she chose eternity. Just as she once did with Yae Miko—severing emotional ties and sealing herself off.
For a while, she had no idea how to erase the emotions Luo Qing had planted within her. But then, this morning, she had sat on Luo Qing's teleportation toilet.
When the spiritual entity residing in it denied her access, she suddenly understood.
In the Plane of Euthymia, she didn't have a physical body.
Without the "hardware," no matter how powerful the "software," it couldn't function. Human emotions are channeled through the body.
No matter what Luo Qing's methods were, they must have used the puppet's physical body as a medium to plant those emotions in both of them.
Why else would any increase in favorability affect them both simultaneously?
With this theory in mind, Ei had a bold idea.
If everything began with the puppet's physical form, then perhaps resetting the puppet to its state before meeting Luo Qing would erase whatever he had planted within them.
In other words, Ei intended to "format" the puppet's body, finding a restoration point from before they met Luo Qing and resetting it entirely.
Of course, if she went through with this, it meant both she and the Raiden Shogun would forget every moment they had spent with Luo Qing—even forgetting his very existence.
But if she left a mark for herself and the Raiden Shogun—a warning to eliminate him at first sight to prevent him from manipulating their emotions again—everything could return to its original state. They would no longer be swayed by Luo Qing.
"You want to sever all of this?" The Raiden Shogun's brow furrowed.
A favorability rating of 60 was a threshold. Crossing it, either up or down, resulted in two completely different states of being.
Even knowing that her feelings for Luo Qing were the result of his manipulations, she found it difficult to extricate herself.
"His presence contradicts the pursuit of eternity. If we wish to continue along that path, he must be erased..." Ei's voice was resolute.
Though she held considerable affection for Luo Qing herself, she had wrestled with this decision for a long time.
If they only erased their emotions, Luo Qing might simply use his abilities to ensnare them again.
Only by eliminating him completely could they cut off any future threats and fully commit to the pursuit of eternity!
"Eternity..." the Raiden Shogun whispered, her gaze drifting to the two massive shelves of light novels behind Ei.
"In this so-called eternity of yours, do those books have a place?"
"..."
Ei awkwardly looked away.
"Th-those... Those were also Luo Qing's influence! I'll remove them all too when the time comes!"
"I see..."
The Raiden Shogun hesitated.
She had been created to aid the woman before her in governing Inazuma and seeking eternity. As a puppet, she had felt nothing unnecessary before meeting Luo Qing—her resolve like a blade, fixed only on eternity.
If anything opposed that path, even if it were Ei herself, she would become a merciless executioner.
But now...
Choosing between eternity and Luo Qing, she couldn't bring herself to decide.
"You're hesitating," Ei noted with a frown.
"Eternity was once my ultimate goal. You are my past self; you should not waver over something like this..."
Even after a long pause, the Raiden Shogun said nothing.
Seeing her silence, Ei was a little surprised. She sighed and shook her head gently.
"There's no rush. I'll give you time to prepare. When the moment comes, I will personally take control and enter our mindscape to erase every unnecessary emotion..."
"..."
The Raiden Shogun said nothing, only gazed at Ei before turning and vanishing from the Plane of Euthymia.
Returning to the physical world...
The Raiden Shogun replayed Ei's words in her mind, still feeling as if a massive weight pressed upon her chest. It was the first time since her creation that she had ever felt such an emotion.
"Luo Qing..."
...
Meanwhile, at Tatarasuna.
With no ongoing battles and no new prisoners captured, Luo Qing had called Teresa over to join him for some fishing.
Chewing on a piece of grass, Luo Qing watched the bobber on the water, waiting for a bite.
Suddenly, a notification rang out in his mind.
[The up-pool has been updated. Host, please use it as soon as possible!]
"..."
Luo Qing glanced at the notification and brought up the system's gacha screen.
He saw that the featured item had changed.
The golden item had shifted from the Guardian Angel to a new one:
[Seed of Rebirth]
[Seed of Rebirth: Repairs fragmented souls and reshapes the physical body. The restored body will not regain previous powers, with strength limited to that of an ordinary human.]
[PS: There is a one-year cooldown period after use.]

"Why do I keep getting these life-saving items?" Luo Qing muttered as he read the system's description of the new item.
With the system's quirky nature, anything it gave him would definitely have its use in the future.
So far, the system had handed him two golden life-saving items back to back—a revival armor and now the Seed of Rebirth.
"But only Rosalyne dies in the Inazuma storyline, right? Why so many life-saving items? Or... could it be that I'll be in danger too?"
He scratched his head in confusion.
The only real powerhouse in Inazuma was the Raiden Shogun, and thanks to the Favorability Card, she was almost molded into his ideal version of a housewife. She wouldn't dare lift a blade against him now.
In fact, if she could look at Luo Qing without blushing, it was a testament to her iron will.
"Whatever, let's just focus on collecting enough pulls first..."
Since the system gave it to him, there must be a reason. Besides, with the ongoing battle at Tatarasuna, his frustration value had been steadily rising, so reaching ninety pulls wouldn't take too long.
Opting for caution, Luo Qing decided to stay at Tatarasuna for a while longer to ensure he had enough pulls for the Seed of Rebirth before heading back to Inazuma City.
With his mind made up, Luo Qing's expression turned relaxed once more. He hummed a little tune as he continued to wait for the fish to bite.
Meanwhile...
Teresa stood by, her feelings conflicted as she watched her lord. First, he scratched his head like a fool, then he laughed to himself like an idiot, all the while muttering strange things.
Could my lord really be mentally ill...?
"Uh... Lord Luo Qing..."
After hesitating for a while, Teresa mustered up the courage to tap him on the shoulder, thinking she was doing it for his own good.
"Hm? What's up?" Luo Qing turned to look at her.
"If you're sick, my lord... you should really get treated. It's not something to delay..."
"?"
"Are you asking for a beating?"
...
Without the thunderous storms, the view at Kannazuka had become much more pleasant.
Several days had passed, and the war between the Resistance and the Shogunate army was still raging.
After a few days in the Shogunate camp, Teresa had returned to Luo Qing's side, claiming that she had successfully trained a group of Shogunate soldiers to dance without her and that her personal teaching was no longer required.
In reality, she had begged Luo Qing with tears and dramatic pleas—not to mention some not-so-subtle attempts at seduction—just so she wouldn't have to teach people how to dance in public anymore.
It was just too embarrassing.
In the end, she succeeded, and Luo Qing reassigned her to be his fishing assistant (standing by his side and offering over-the-top praise whenever he caught something).
At Tatarasuna, with Luo Qing's earlier threats hanging over them, Kujou Sara had no choice but to make the Shogunate troops bring out the Resistance captives every day for public dance-offs, taunting the enemy in the process.
As for the Resistance, after Luo Qing bailed on them, Gorou had planned to stop the whole "prisoner dancing" thing.
But once the Shogunate started showing off, the Resistance soldiers—already filled with resentment—demanded they retaliate. Gorou had no choice but to follow suit, dragging out their own captives to join the dance competition.
And so, a strange nightly ritual took place at Tatarasuna's battlefield.
By day, the two armies fought tooth and nail.
By night, they brought their captives to the beach, cranked up the gramophone, and battled over which side had better dance coordination and rhythm.
Driven by their competitive spirit, some soldiers even grabbed whips to ensure perfect synchrony. Anyone who messed up or broke the rhythm got lashed.
Some nights, the dancing was so intense, even the fish in the sea were startled to death.
It resembled elderly ladies fighting for dance space in the town square.
At this point, Luo Qing—the mastermind behind it all—didn't have to lift a finger. Every evening, he'd receive a massive influx of frustration value without doing a thing.
In less than a month, he had almost saved enough for ninety pulls.
By now, he and Teresa had visited nearly every fishing spot between Kannazuka and Yashiori Island. Since he never left empty-handed (and sometimes resorted to electrocuting the water), fishing had lost much of its charm.
With the situation at Tatarasuna more or less under control, Luo Qing decided to slip away without telling Kujou Sara and sneak back to Inazuma City, waiting for Lumine and the Resistance to launch their attack.
One day, Luo Qing was considering visiting Scaramouche's Delusion Factory to borrow a boat for his trip back to Inazuma City. Though he could have used his teleportation toilet, it would leave one toilet behind, something too valuable to entrust to anyone—especially not Teresa.
On their way through Fort Fujitou, they happened to run into some familiar faces—Lumine and Paimon, leading a squad of Resistance fighters.
"Oh, what a coincidence!" Luo Qing grinned as he eyed Lumine and her companions. "Been a while. So, you two have been promoted to officers now, huh?"
"Luo Qing! It's you again!" Paimon shouted angrily. "Gorou told me everything! You ditched us after promising to help the Resistance!"
"I had an upset stomach that day, so I took a sick day. Any issues with that?"
Luo Qing folded his arms and smiled.
"What, am I not allowed to take a sick day?"
"..."
[+1 Frustration from Paimon]
"Who would believe that?!" Paimon fumed, stomping her little feet.
"Luo Qing, what are you doing here?" Lumine asked, frowning slightly. While Yashiori Island was considered neutral territory, running into a Shogunate officer like Luo Qing here was definitely suspicious.
"Curious, huh?"
Luo Qing leaned in slightly, a mischievous glint in his eyes. Just as he had Lumine and Paimon's attention, he suddenly leaned back, laughing softly.
"Not telling you~"
"..."
[+1 Frustration from Lumine]
[+1 Frustration from Paimon]
"Just passing through. See you around, ladies~" Luo Qing waved casually as he and Teresa strolled past them.
A few Resistance fighters made a move to stop them, but Lumine quickly signaled them to stand down.
She knew better than to provoke Luo Qing without good reason.
As Luo Qing's figure disappeared down the road, his voice rang out again.
"Oh, by the way, one more thing."
"What is it?" Lumine asked, puzzled.
Luo Qing turned back and walked up to her, pulling a small, fist-sized mud ball from his pocket.
"I noticed that your aura is a bit dark, like a sign of impending disaster. I happen to have this 'All-Healing Pill.' Take it, and any injuries will be instantly healed. It's only 100,000 Mora. What do you say? Want to buy one?"
