Haruto's eyes snapped open as the first rays of sunlight filtered into his room. His excitement from the night before hadn't faded—today was the day he would meet his new team and Jonin leader. But even though the anticipation gnawed at him, Haruto wasn't one to break his routine.
He got out of bed quickly, stretching his limbs and heading straight into his morning training regimen. It didn't matter that today would be a significant day in his shinobi career—he still had to train. His golden reward had been settling in, and the benefits were becoming more and more apparent. His stamina had received a noticeable boost, allowing him to push harder and recover faster during intense training sessions. The improvements in his cognitive abilities allowed him to analyze his form, movements, and techniques in ways that made training even more efficient.
By the time he reached the training grounds, his fists were already pumping. As usual, Daichi Uzumaki was there, already going through his own routine. Haruto couldn't help but notice Daichi's ability to spam low-level jutsu like no one else—it was a unique skill, and Daichi seemed to have endless reserves of chakra. Their training together had always been intense, but now, with his new golden reward, Haruto felt like he could go even harder.
The hours passed quickly as they sparred, pushed their limits, and worked on refining their techniques. Haruto's mind processed each movement with lightning speed, his Two Minds allowing him to focus on both his own technique and Daichi's at the same time. It was almost unfair how much easier it had become to split his attention and still remain in full control. As he fought, one mind could focus entirely on his physical attacks, while the other analyzed Daichi's movements, searching for patterns or weaknesses. It was a subtle edge, but a powerful one.
After their session, Haruto headed home for his usual big breakfast. Protein, fats, and all the necessary nutrients he needed to maintain his regimen. He ate quickly but with focus, already planning out the rest of his day. He still had time before the team assignment, and that meant study time.
Haruto unrolled a fūinjutsu scroll, eager to reinforce the knowledge he had gained over the past few months. As his Two Minds kicked into gear, it became clear that he was breezing through the material. His enhanced cognitive abilities allowed him to cross-reference seals faster than ever, but he couldn't ignore the fact that the material was no longer challenging. He needed something new, something more advanced, but for now, reinforcing what he already knew was better than nothing. He worked on perfecting the designs, his left and right hands moving independently to sketch out different seals simultaneously.
Still, the thought nagged at him—he needed new material.
After finishing his study session, Haruto made his way to Training Ground 3, where he was set to meet his new team and Jonin teacher. His steps felt lighter than usual, not just because of his excitement but because of the improvements he felt coursing through him. His body responded more efficiently to his commands, and his mind was sharper than ever. This was it—the moment he had been waiting for.
As he neared the training ground, he heard footsteps coming from behind. He turned to see Daichi Uzumaki approaching, an easy grin on his face.
"Heading to Training Ground 3?" Daichi asked, jogging up to meet Haruto.
"Yeah," Haruto replied, his excitement evident in his voice. "Looks like we're headed to the same place."
They exchanged glances, both of them realizing at the same time what it meant.
"Looks like we're on the same team!" Daichi laughed, clapping Haruto on the back.
Haruto couldn't help but grin. Of all the possible teammates, Daichi was a good one to have. His endless chakra reserves and jutsu-spamming ability made him a formidable ally, and their constant sparring meant they already had solid teamwork.
As they arrived at Training Ground 3, they noticed someone already standing there—someone they hadn't expected to see this early. The figure stood with arms crossed, wearing a familiar dark outfit. Haruto's eyes widened slightly in recognition.
It was none other than Shisui Uchiha.
He had heard of Shisui's reputation in the academy, but they hadn't crossed paths much. Shisui had graduated early, and there were rumors of his time in ANBU, making him a bit of a mystery. But now, standing here, it was clear that Shisui was going to be their third teammate.
Which confused Haruto since Shisui should be a few years younger. Was he even in the world of Naruto, this definitly wasn't canon.
The three of them stood together, each silently sizing up the others, their futures as shinobi now intertwined.
Haruto's mind buzzed with anticipation. His new team was formed, and soon enough, they would meet their Jonin leader. Whoever it was, Haruto knew one thing: he was ready for whatever came next.
