Bab 96: Chapter 96: Duties Of A Father & Sins Of Man Part 2

The war against my children hurt.

"Father, part Lucifer's army is approaching the First Heaven!" My son Michael hurried towards me, his expression deeply concerned. I looked down from my seat, feeling the burden of his worry.

"Calm yourself, Michael." I descended the steps, resting a hand on his shoulder. I felt his tension ease under my touch. "I shall go down to the First Heaven and face them myself."

Michael's eyes widened, then softened into a hopeful smile.

"Assist the evacuation of those on the First, Second, and Third Heavens to the Fourth." I shook my head before he could protest. "I need you to listen to me, my son."

Removing my hand from his shoulder, I teleported to the front of my banished child's army.

'You're not here, Lucifer.' I thought, sighing as I scanned the faces below. In the chaos, I caught sight of Lilith's offspring, rallying others in a familiar voice.

'Oh, Eve…'

"Leader of the Angels! You shall die today!" a devil's voice rang out.

I responded with a simple flick of my hand, reducing hundreds of thousands of devils to nothing, barring them from the system I created.

All was quiet for a moment until a wave of evil washed over the floors of Heaven.

Turning to face the wave of mindless rage barreling toward me, I readied myself and spoke with firm resolve. "Trihexa, you shall go no further."

I hid a wince as I felt the connections to the other two levels sever, disrupted by the beast's destructive wake. Summoning a chant, I cast a spell to bind Trihexa on this level of Heaven. Chains sprang forth, holding it for only a brief moment before they shattered under its strength. "It seems you've grown stronger, old friend."

In response, I received only a furious roar. 'Some things however, never change.' I wove another spell, sealing this floor of Heaven from the others. "Show me what you've become my old friend. I can't afford to linger here."

The seven headed beast let out another deafening roar, each head gathering a condensed dark red sphere of energy aimed directly at me. I teleported behind it, casting yet another binding spell to hold it in place. 'Wearing Trihexa down may be my only option for the moment.'

I sighed as one of its heads swiveled toward me, firing off a blast. With a holy barrier, I deflected the attack, swiftly chanting another spell to contain its fury.

Chant after chant, I wore down the mindless beast I had once called a friend. But as the battle raged, I realized one of its heads was devouring fragments of Heaven itself to maintain its strength. 'I underestimated you.' I thought, weaving another spell that tore us, and part of the Third Heaven into another realm, the Dimensional Gap.

"Trihexa." I said, my voice echoing through the void, "I swear on my name, Yahweh that I shall end you here, once and for all." I released the full extent of my Holy Power, drawing on every reserve of Faith gathered, as the beast roared and revealed its true planetary sized form.

It charged, massive and relentless, and I spun hundreds of binding spells to intercept. "I told you, I have no time for this." I closed in, launching the binding spell that collided with its colossal body. 'Not yet.' I thought, dodging a corruptive energy blast, then chanting again to conjure a new wave of chains that lashed across its form.

"I, Yahweh. Creator of Angels, Creator of Humans, Devils, and Fallen Angels alike." I declared, weaving a spell of finality as Trihexa thrashed with desperate, mindless rage. "I vow to seal this Apocalyptic Beast, never to rise again."

Golden and white light engulfed us, illuminating the Dimensional Gap, as the binding spells I had woven burst into life and wrapped tightly around Trihexa. The drain on my strength surged, but I held steady, bringing my hands together to create seals that bound Trihexa to the shattered remnants of the Third Heaven.

"Amen." I uttered, and with that, the final seals anchored, confining Trihexa for all eternity.

~Scene Change~

Gasp

I shot up from where I'd been lying and leaned on my arms, just in time to turn and vomit what little was left in my stomach. "Fuck." I groaned, wiping my mouth as I glanced around the now empty bathing pit. 'What just happened?' I received no answer except the metallic clang of Muramasa as it tumbled in front of me. Wearily I reached for it, attempting to stand. My legs wobbled like jelly, and I collapsed back, my gaze drifting to the ceiling of the cave. 'Was I… seeing God's perspective?' The thought was disorienting. Rubbing my eyes, I let out a low groan. 'This doesn't make any sense.'

I lay there for what felt like hours, finally forcing myself up when the itch of insects crawling on my skin became unbearable. "Get off, you damn bugs." I swatted them away, steadying myself as I climbed out of the pit with more effort than I would've liked.

Once dressed again in my kimono, I inspected Muramasa and Honjo Masamune. Muramasa looked as it did before, with its black scabbard, handle, wrapping, and tsuba, its blade clean and silver. Honjo Masamune's frosted blue and white scabbard, black handle with white wrapping, white tsuba, and blue blade were just as pristine. I sighed, fastening them both at my waist. 'Good to have you back, Muramasa.'

Exiting the cave, I was greeted by fresh air rolling over me, and I closed my eyes, taking in a deep breath. For a fleeting moment, I could almost forget what I'd experienced, but then the memory of it returned, drawing another groan from me. 'I witnessed the Biblical God fighting Trihexa, a sight no one else has seen.' As I rubbed my forehead, a faint sharp pain tingled through me. Frowning, I unsheathed Muramasa, catching my reflection in the blade. I looked older, like I had before. But now with new black markings, two angled shapes on my forehead and two triangles on my chin. 'They match the markings on my chest and arms.' I noted, studying them before a deep rumble from my stomach interrupted.

I turned towards where Retsu and Eri were at and headed off, hoping something good was cooking. 'Can't believe I'm actually looking forward to Retsu's cooking.' The thought sent a shiver down my spine as I recalled her first attempts. I also noted, with mild surprise, that my speed had increased significantly. 'I'll think about it later.'
