Bab 354: Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Since Dong Huang was still young and couldn't cook, Lu Jueyu asked her to take care of the fire. Dong Huang sat by the stove and poked the firewood with a twig so that the fire would spread more evenly. There is a steamer basket on top of the stove. 

While the water was boiling, Lu Jueyu washed four cups of rice and poured it into a basket with several pandan leaves. She put the basket into the steamer and closed it.

Dong Huang couldn't help but swallow her saliva when she saw the white rice. She still remembered the tastes of the rice and licked her lips. Sensing her little movement, Lu Jueyu walked to the corner of the kitchen, took out some sweet potatoes from the basket, washed them in a basin of water, and wrapped them in banana leaves. Afterwards, she threw them into the stove.

"Xiao Huang, when the potatoes are cooked, you can take them out and eat them."

Dong Huang nodded and said, "Thank you, auntie."
