In the middle of the living room, Aiden and Ivar sat down on the couch with dejected expressions on their faces while Caroline and Maya were continuously trying to motivate them with words of encouragement.

"You're not that bad Aiden" Caroline gently said while placing her hands on the sides of his face with a slightly worried expression as she bent down to his eye level.

"Ivar. Come on! Just one more!" Maya said to the orange-haired youth while holding both of his hands.

Despite this, Aiden and Ivar's eyes remained unfocused, almost as if whatever it was the two ladies were saying was going through one ear and immediately coming out the other.

Flynn could almost swear that he could see a dark cloud of rain pouring over both of their heads.
