Tulis ulasani cant say much about world building. beside using names of some city and town and dragon kingdom or whatnot, technically if this is not parallel world to modern earth, you wouldn't understand a thing about the world there. and author tried hard to be mystical and mysterious that we only have vague glimpse of the mysterious power level and cultivation. it seems to have mixtures of magic (like ice magic, water magic, space barriers etc), ghost, spirit, cultivation (formation, acupuncture, pill making etc) as well as many other element including gu worms. but everything was so vague that it lacks explanation. the ironic thing was, despite author lack of proper details on the specifics, he likes to rambling with his words (repeating redundant points, not very concise writing). the only thing that keep me going is the story development. it was good and entertaining. it may not have dazzling world building and setting, the way the plot was written makes one absorbed in reading each chapter.
The novel starts pretty well but gets quite boring once you get to the paid chapter. Also, there are hints of racism early on which I can get through. at one point the MC just kills a person because they are Japanese. At the end of the day if you can get through nationalism and racism. the it an ok book
Honestly the overwhelming bafoonery of the MC takes away from the story. It has plot armor written all over it. The MC just so happens to be completely oblivious to some things that should be very important and seems like he’s not an MC, he’s just an NPC that the story happens around. It’s getting frustrating that he’s such a dimwit. I don’t want to read stories about complete a imbecile who manages to create story points through sheer incompetence and/or negligence. Story beats shouldn’t be based on the MCs miraculous ability to be completely oblivious to seemingly very important points of interest that anyone with a shred of common sense and semi-competent decision making skills would notice and act on.
I just was curious about the likelihood of me enjoying this, but read (red) the introductory of this book and it seems interesting.
A great concept but it manages to fail at every single turn. -Godaweful Sister -MC is dumb and a pervert -Throwing shade at non-chinese -Plenty of CCP propaganda -Extremely forced plot -Restrictions on his “system” even on rewards which makes the stuff he gains useless Honestly the only funny thing about this story is that they accidentally make the chinese government and businesses look aweful which is hilarious because the story is also full of CCP shilling. Complete waist of time and then also forces you to pay.
It was quite fun at first, but suddenly the author did what many Chinese writers do: wrote extreme nationalist content about their hatred of the Japanese and that they were biased criminals. I quite understand this considering the past history of both countries and the war crimes that Japan committed. but gosh, we just want to read a fun story here and have a good time, not get caught up in propaganda. So I stopped at chapter 99, maybe if I'm in the mood to read again, I'll continue it. For now I prefer to dig up other stories on the web looking for other trashy light novels about cultivation
decent start, but like all Chinese stories it has nationalism and patriotism, of course once you read web novels, you know that all Chinese stories have it, but the level in this story is absurd and it seems that among all the characters they do not make 1 neuron
Started out extremely well, and I won’t deny that for the average Chinese reader it’s an excellent read. Though I will mention that the average Chinese reader must also be a brainwashed communist and anti-anyone-not-Chinese to really enjoy this book after chapter 100ish
The funeral home in the title gets no focus, leaving the story as a chain of idiot streamers dying. It's fine, but I don't think I'd recommend it if you don't have a grudge against streamers.
not my cup of tea. if you enjoy flat characterizations or power hungry mcs enforcing their morals in a righteous way, this is for you.
Membuka SPOILERThis novel is the same as any Chinese novel that takes place in the real world, full of racism and extreme nationalism, I honestly do not recommend reading any novel that takes place in the real world because you can be absolutely sure that at some point the author will writing about this, the only novel I saw that didn't have any of this was canceled for "denigrating the country"
Please please please please please pick this, I haven’t come across a book I was actually interested in reading in the voting pool in so long if this doesnt win I’ll cry
Muy entretenido 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Amazing Story genuinely made me laugh mulitple times is overall a great read and I highly reccomend it having read the first 40, definately a great story to vote for.
Racist. It goes good until it branches out and then you're hit with that good old Chinese racism .can't understand why a good work has to be stained with Racism but yeah no, don't recommend it cause this 1s racism doesn't seem to be nationalism
A lot of the characters aren't enjoyable to read. It started out fine enough but as they started to focus more on the characters are the MC in his real life it turned bad. The sister and the cops aren't well written at all. I fully get what they were going for with the sister, even if they faily horriblely, and have seen it done well elsewhere. Then as this comes from China there's a TON of Chinese propaganda as well. Really interesting premise just horrible execution.
