Bab 152: Apocalypse 1
"Furthermore, you don't need to worry, if we are defeated by the Apocalypse and the Brotherhood of Mutants, Battle Sage and the Avengers will be next to face the Apocalypse," said Xavier.
If Jack saw Professor X saying this, he would be disappointed. He had already talked about this with Charles and said that he hoped that mutants and Avengers could work together to protect the Earth.
With the Avengers and the X-Men working together, many things that happened in the comics wouldn't happen, but in the comics, the Avengers didn't like mutants and mutants didn't like the Avengers.
Of course, not everyone thought this way, but the groups did, and that's why many problems that could have been avoided happened. If Charles had called Jack, he could easily solved this problem by bringing the Avengers together, and the mutants could still hide.
Since Jack wanted to avoid this problem, he spent some of his precious time getting closer to the X-Men and teaching them. Of course, he spent more time with the X-Men because he started dating Anna.
But that was an even bigger reason for the mutants to call him to help in situations like this, which could even kill some X-Men. After all, Jack was an adult and wouldn't stay away from the X-Men just because he broke up with Anna. He just didn't hang out with them as much as before.
Anna and the other mutants who were friends with Battle Sage were also disappointed that Xavier didn't intend to call him when the X-Men needed him the most, and only to protect Magneto.
The mutants began to prepare for battle. They didn't know if the Apocalypse would arrive in a day or take a week. En Sabah Nur didn't keep them waiting for long. He strengthened the Mutants of the Brotherhood and teleported them to the front of the X-Mansion.
Xavier and the X-Men already knew that the Apocalypse could use teleportation. They had set up alarms throughout the X-Mansion's territory, so they were warned that En Sabah Nur, Magneto, and the other Mutants had arrived.
Soon the X-Men and Mystique left the X-Mansion and went to the area where the young mutants were playing and having fun. This place would be an improvised battlefield between En Sabah Nur and the Brotherhood of Mutants, and the X-Men.
"Mystique, I didn't imagine you would betray us so quickly. I respected that you didn't agree with my plan, but I didn't expect you to come and tell my plan to the X-Men," Magneto said, irritated.
"Magneto, you've gone insane. I knew you were hiding something, but you knew that Apocalypse always brought death and destruction when he awakened," Raven said.
"Yes, death and destruction to the humans. En Sabah Nur's arrival means the end of humans in power and the beginning of mutant leadership on Earth," Magneto said.
"How do you intend to do that, Erik? With the deaths of millions of people and threats? You know well that governments will retaliate, and the Avengers will stop you," Xavier said.
"We're not afraid of governments and the Avengers. Many mutants have died and suffered for years. Now it's time for humans to suffer," Magneto said.
"I'm saddened to see this. So many powerful mutants in this current time, with your power, mutants should already be leading humanity, but you're divided, fighting, hiding," En Sabah Nur said.
"But don't worry, I'm back. I was betrayed and slept for centuries, in darkness, while you suffered. But now I will lead you to a better future," En Sabah Nur said.
"We don't want a future where millions of humans will be killed, and a war will be caused. Almost all mutants will die, so we'll stop you," Scott said.
"You can't stop me. In fact, I came here to take some of you as my generals to lead my army. I came to gather my Horsemen of Apocalypse, and the rest can follow me if they want," En Sabah Nur said.
"You came to capture us and control our minds to follow you. We don't want that. We'll fight to stop you," Scott said.
"So you leave me no choice. I'll show you the powers of the god of mutants, the god who will lead you in the future," En Sabah Nur said.
En Sabah Nur said this and went to attack Angel, En Sabah Nur had already decided to make Angel, Storm, and Scott his Horsemen of Apocalypse, so to have less trouble, he decided to attack Angel, who could fly and escape, and would be difficult to capture.
The X-men did not know who En Sabah Nur intended to capture, so they thought he was just attacking Angel. Cyclops and Nightcrawler went to attack En Sabah Nur, and the Mutants of the Brotherhood also began to attack.
Beast and Colossus went to fight Juggernaut, and Storm and Jean went to fight Magneto, who was more powerful. Charles tried to stop Toad and Pyro while Jubilee and X-23 were protecting him.
Wolverine went to face Sabretooth. In addition to them, Rogue, Mystique, Iceman, and Shadowcat were waiting to see who needed support. The fight was intense, and in a few seconds, the X-mansion's garden began to be destroyed.
Wolverine lured Sabretooth away. Their fight would not end anytime soon, and it was better for Wolverine not to interfere with the others.
Beast and Colossus had difficulty stopping Juggernaut, so they knew they could not win easily and led Juggernaut away from the fight. Charles could not enter Toad and Pyro's minds, and En Sabah Nur was protecting the minds of all the Mutants of the Brotherhood, so Charles's powers were useless in this fight.
Thus, Xavier became a burden. Jubilee and X-23 had difficulty protecting Xavier from Pyro's attacks. Seeing this, Iceman went to face Pyro, as he had done in the past. Pyro was much more powerful with En Sabah Nur's help, but Iceman was also more powerful after being trained by Jack.
Jubilee continued to protect Xavier and moved away with him from the fight. X-23 went to face Toad and quickly gained the upper hand in the fight. The Mutants of the Brotherhood were easily stopped, even with the improvement given to them by Apocalypse.
But that was because En Sabah Nur did not use much of his powers on them. Magneto soon showed what a Horseman of Apocalypse could do. Storm and Jean, who were two of the most powerful mutants of the X-men, could not stop Magneto.
