Bab 122: Winter Soldier 3
"Then you know well how things happened, Steve was approved for the army and a machine created by your father and the Super Soldier Serum created Captain America. Steve had to do publicity for a while after the Doctor who created the Serum was killed and the formula went with him," said Jack.
"But Captain America decided to go to war and stop doing government propaganda when he found out that the troop where Bucky had gone was missing, he had to save his childhood best friend."
"He saved his friend and then created a team to take down Hydra, Bucky was on the team and on one of the missions Bucky ended up falling off a train passing through a mountain and everyone thought he had died."
"But now we've found out that Bucky didn't die, he was found by Hydra's Zola and they did experiments to turn him into a second Captain America, but to control him they brainwashed him."
"The experiment wasn't exactly a success, but Bucky became stronger than ordinary people and with his mind being controlled, he became one of Hydra's best soldiers. When they didn't need him, Hydra froze him," said Jack.
Tony didn't know why Jack was telling the story of a friend of Captain America, but he had learned in the past that even though Jack's stories didn't seem related to him, at some point the topic that interested him would come up.
"For the last 50 years, Bucky was controlled by Hydra, doing strategic assassinations so they could control the world, he was known as the Winter Soldier. In December 1991, he was unfrozen and sent to Hydra to do another mission," said Jack.
When Jack said December 1991, Tony became tense, he thought for a moment and was shocked and began to understand why Jack was explaining that Steve Rogers' friend had undergone brainwashing and was controlled by Hydra.
"The important mission that the Winter Soldier had was to kill an important person who was a genius, the creator of S.H.I.E.L.D., and was working on a project to recreate the Super Soldier Serum. His mission was to kill Howard Stark and steal the samples of the Super Soldier Serum he carried with him," said Jack.
"The Winter Soldier completed the mission. He killed Howard Stark and his wife and made it look like a car accident. Tony, Steve's friend, killed his parents," said Jack.
Like in the movie, Jack asked EVE to search and decrypt the information Natasha leaked on the internet about Hydra and S.H.I.E.L.D. He found the book that controlled the Winter Soldier and burned it, killing the person who controlled him.
Jack was able to confirm that the dates matched those in the movie and even found the video of the Winter Soldier killing Tony's parents. But he wouldn't show it to Tony unless necessary, as he believed Tony already believed him.
Jack waited for Tony to accept the information that his parents had been killed and had not suffered an accident. He saw Tony start to cry and get angry and just waited to hear what Tony had to say.
"Do you know where this Winter Soldier is?" asked Tony, after recovering.
"Yes he is with me, I captured him when he tried to kill Nick Fury and then tried to kill Natasha, I gave him a good beating and broke some bones of him, took some pictures, and recorded a video, watch this and see if your anger subsides ." Said Jack giving the cell phone to Tony.
Tony was angry and sad and didn't think it would help, but he wanted to see what Steve's friend looked like. But when he looked at the photos and video, he had to admit that Jack had really beaten him badly. The Winter Soldier was bleeding in several parts of his body, and his mechanical arm was dented after being removed from Bucky's body.
"I beat him up because I didn't know he was Steve's friend. I also left him without food or water for a week. I just didn't take you there before telling Steve because he is as strong as Steve and very resistant. You would need to use the armor to hurt him and beat him up a bit," said Jack.
"But I heard that Bucky can remember the things he did or suffered as the Winter Soldier, so Steve will complain because Iron Man hit his friend for no reason," said Jack.
Just as Jack had thought, Tony calmed down after a while. He hated Bucky and would kill him if he could, but Bucky being Steve's friend and having been brainwashed made it impossible for Tony to just kill him without consequences.
The real enemy was Hydra, who had sent the Winter Soldier to do this. But Hydra had already been dismantled, and Tony couldn't do anything without revealing that he was Iron Man. Tony knew that after he calmed down, he could talk to Pepper.
"I know you're angry, Tony. I trust that you won't try to do anything stupid in the future, but to make sure, there are two people I want you to meet," said Jack.
He had already talked to Wanda and Pietro and told them that one day he would let them meet Tony if they promised not to do anything to him. Jack trusted the twins and thought this was a good time for them to talk to Tony because Tony would sympathize with them and understand a little bit that Bucky wasn't totally at fault.
Jack opened a portal to Wanda's house and saw that she was training her powers while Pietro was resting. The twins were surprised because they didn't expect Jack to appear, but when they saw Tony Stark, they understood what Jack wanted and crossed the portal to Tony's house.
"Tony, these are the two future Avengers that I'm helping to control their powers. They're very powerful. Pietro is very fast and can run faster than Mach 2, and he'll be even better in the future," said Jack.
"In the future, Wanda will be able to fight the most powerful beings in this universe. Currently, she is one of the most powerful people on Earth. She could defeat Thor if they fought to the death with the strength of their powers," said Jack.
"These twins lived in a country called Sokovia. Their parents were killed in the war, and they almost died. The missiles that killed their parents were created and sold by Stark Industries," said Jack.
