Bab 36: Stark Expo 1
Tony realized that Jack was not joking and also became serious. He knew that Jack was hiding something from him, and Tony knew that Jack expected some disaster to happen on Earth in the coming years.
Tony imagined all the Earth's heroes he knew and pictured himself with Jack's clones using the Iron Man armor. If even all of that was not enough to face a threat, then it would be something that could destroy the Earth.
Jack knew that there would be threats on Earth that not even all the heroes, along with his Iron Man clones, could prevent. But certainly, it was enough for the Battle of New York.
If Jack could, he also wanted to prevent the Battle of New York. But he had already searched for the Tesseract several times and had not found it. In the future, Jack would ask Nick Fury to give him the Tesseract, but he knew that it was impossible for Fury to give it to him.
Fury should have been trying to create weapons using the Tesseract's energy since Thor's arrival. It was lucky that the Battle of New York was still several years away.
Jack was preparing Tony for the battle against Thanos. To tell the truth, Jack was currently afraid of this fight. Even though he had learned magic, had his clones using the Iron Man armor, and maybe had the strength of the Hulk, Jack could not guarantee that he could prevent Thanos from gathering the Infinity Stones.
"But don't worry, Tony, we're just preparing for a fight that may not even happen. But if it does, your armor can save us," said Jack.
"I trust you, Jack. I'll give you ten armors and continue to create more. You can keep them with you, and as soon as a threat arises, you can use them. I was even thinking of giving one to Rhodes if I were to die," said Tony.
"Thank you for the trust, Tony. I agree that you should give armor to Rhodes so that the government stops bothering you, but make sure it has the palladium arc reactor. This new energy cannot fall into the government's hands," said Jack.
Over the next few days, Tony started creating several armors. He already had something like an armoring factory in his lab, so he just had to modify the designs to accommodate the improvements.
"Now that I'm cured, I'm finally going to start the Stark Expo. Actually, I thought about doing it to boost my ego. After all, I thought I was going to die and wanted to leave a legacy that would be remembered, just like my father did," said Tony.
"But now that you said that my father loved me, I want to continue his legacy with the Stark Expo, and it will still improve my ego," Tony joked.
"I'll be leaving soon, Tony. I've been in California for too long. I need to help Spider-Man in New York. There are too few crimes here to take care of," Jack said, laughing.
"I wish you could stay, but you have more things to do. But I want to see you at the Stark Expo as soon as it starts," said Tony, emotional.
"Don't worry, Tony. You'll still see me several times in the coming months. Don't forget that I can use a portal and come here at any time," Jack joked.
"That's true. I forgot that you could use the portal. Just don't teleport into my house, okay? At least knock on my door and call me," Tony joked.
"Thank you for the armors. I'll use one of them with my clone. Let me know when you need to become Iron Man, and I'll make my clone disappear, so people won't suspect you," said Jack.
"Yes, but that doesn't matter anymore. Although I won't reveal that I am Iron Man, I will give you several armors. I'll give one to Rhodes, so when several armors are flying together, they'll know that I could be Iron Man and several people could be using the armor," said Tony.
"Yes, but they can only suspect, they won't be sure, and even if it's necessary to use the armor with my clones, we can protect your secret identity. You can say that sometimes I'm Iron Man, I'm already a hero anyway," Jack said, smiling.
Jack said goodbye to Tony and created a portal to his house in New York. In his house in New York, Jack had the machine that would make him stronger, which Ben Grimm and Reed Richards had given to him, and an army of 12 Iron Man armors.
The armor and the machine would cost hundreds of millions of dollars if anyone tried to steal them, but it would be useless for anyone other than Jack since the armor was only allowed for him.
Seeing his house, Jack was satisfied with the things he had received from his friends, but seeing these things in his apartment and with Natasha having seen him with Tony, Jack decided to buy a new house outside of New York.
He returned to California and went to Malibu, where he found a mansion for sale. He quickly bought the mansion and hired some lawyers to get everything in order.
As promised, Jack didn't ask anything from Tony for saving his life. After all, Jack knew that it was his responsibility for changing this universe, but he knew that Tony wouldn't accept that.
So he asked Tony to give him as much money as he thought was fair. Jack needed the armor for his clones, so he also asked for them, thinking that Tony would give him a few million dollars.
After all, Tony currently had more than 10 billion dollars in cash and Stark Industries stocks, but Jack underestimated Tony's generosity and arrogance.
In addition to giving Jack the 12 Iron Man armors that were priceless, Tony gave Jack 1 billion dollars for saving his life. Jack immediately refused and said that he didn't care about money,
But Tony said that 1 billion dollars were too little for what Jack had done and for helping him create a new element that would make his armor stronger. Tony also said that 1 billion dollars wouldn't make a difference to him.
Jack asked for Pepper's help, thinking that she would stop Tony's madness, but he forgot that Pepper, despite being a good businesswoman, was also in love with Tony. She also thought that Jack deserved that money.
