Bab 32: Black Widow 2
Even though Fury didn't suspect that Tony Stark was Iron Man, he knew he had to investigate Stark Industries and keep an eye on Tony, since Iron Man was Tony's bodyguard.
That's why Nick Fury found it strange that S.H.I.E.L.D. couldn't find any information about how Jack had met Tony in the past three years.
Before Iron Man appeared, Fury found it even more unlikely that Jack had known Tony, given that three years ago, Jack was under 18. As a result, Fury could only think of a few possibilities, as he didn't even imagine that Jack was a hero.
"Natasha, you need to get closer to Jack and try to find out more information about him. I suspect that either he's a spy who managed to falsify his personal information so well that even S.H.I.E.L.D. can't find it, or he must be Iron Man," Fury said with certainty.
"Alright, I'll investigate him in the next few days," Natasha said. In fact, she also thought the same thing as Fury.
They were just not sure if Jack was Iron Man, as they saw Iron Man flying behind Jack and Tony when they arrived at Stark Industries, but Fury and Natasha thought they could use this to make sure no one suspected that Jack was Iron Man.
Jack was walking around the company with Tony, without even imagining that for Fury and Natasha, he was Iron Man. Even with Jack and Tony's imaginations, they never thought anyone could think that Jack was Iron Man.
After all, they knew Jack was a hero and since Jack didn't plan to hide his secret identity in the future, they imagined that everyone would know it eventually.
In the following days, Tony decided to go out to many places in Malibu to relax after spending several months not going out much. Tony just didn't go to nightclubs to avoid problems with Pepper.
Jack also took this time to relax. He still did some physical training and had his clones to study, but at least until he received the information that the clones learned, he could relax.
Jack also noticed that in the next few days, Natasha was "coincidentally" getting closer to him in various places he went to with Tony, but Jack thought she was investigating information about Tony.
When Natasha appeared, Tony always left them alone, and Jack thought that "Natalie" had also taken a liking to him. Since Jack knew that Natasha was a spy, he conversed with her normally but was always careful not to reveal any secrets about himself or Tony.
Natasha was a well-trained spy and could tell that Jack was being careful and avoiding telling secrets. As Natasha never imagined that Jack knew she was a spy, she thought that Jack was a spy or was Iron Man.
Realizing that Jack would not easily tell his secrets without trusting her, Natasha decided to use her beauty and charm to try to win Jack over and perhaps find out some information.
Natasha was a trained spy and was different from other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Fury never asked her to have intimate relations with anyone to obtain information. If that was necessary, Fury would prefer to use physical force or kidnap the target rather than ask Natasha to do it.
But Natasha didn't mind using her charm and giving a few kisses to get some information. Jack was in a difficult situation because of this, as he knew that Natasha was undercover and that she felt no affection for him.
If it were Natasha herself who wanted to be with him, Jack, who was young and always found Natasha beautiful, would want to be with her. But if Jack rejected Natasha because he knew she was undercover, Natasha herself might get angry with him for ignoring her charm.
So Jack decided not to care and showed his true feelings, really enjoying spending time with Natasha, but he wouldn't reveal any secrets to her.
After a few days, Jack went to Stark Industries to invite Natasha to dinner. Jack was already known by many in the company for being a friend of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, so the receptionist called Natasha to where Jack was.
"Hi Natalie, I'm here to invite you to dinner tonight. Would you like to go with me?" Jack said directly after meeting Natasha, since they had been meeting through "coincidences" for several days, but never went on a real date.
"Sure, you give me the address and I'll meet you at the restaurant," said Natasha.
"I can't let you go to the restaurant alone. Give me your address and I'll pick you up by car and we'll go to the restaurant together," said Jack.
"Okay, I'll text you my address," said Natasha, and said goodbye to go back to work.
Jack had already rented a car for a few days in Malibu since he didn't want to buy one and couldn't fly to places either. He had also already made a reservation at a French restaurant for dinner.
Jack bought his first suit with the help of Tony, a set of a suit with dress pants, a tie, shoes, a dress shirt, and a blazer. With his improved physical shape, 6'1'' height, and handsome face, Jack was confident.
In the afternoon, Jack sent a message to Natasha saying he would go to her apartment at 6:20 p.m. That night he arrived at the apartment at 6:10 p.m. After waiting a few minutes, Natasha had come down, and Jack saw how she was dressed.
Natasha was wearing a black dress with a discreet neckline, high heels, and only earrings, but with her beauty and curly red hair, it was a striking combination.
"You look really beautiful tonight," Jack gave a sincere compliment to Natasha.
"Thank you, Jack. You look great in a suit," Natasha smiled.
Jack opened the passenger door and helped Natasha get into the car. He then drove calmly to the restaurant he had reserved, which was a French restaurant recommended by Tony.
Upon arriving, Jack helped Natasha out of the car and gave the valet a $20 tip. They then entered the restaurant and were escorted to their reserved table. The waiter presented Jack and Natasha with the menu.
"I would like to know what the chef would recommend for today?" Jack asked, following Tony's advice.
"A composed salad for an appetizer, La blanquette de veau for the main course, Fondant au chocolat for dessert, and red wine to accompany the meal. What do you think?" the waiter suggested.
"I like that, what do you think, Natalie?" Jack asked.
"I like it too," Natasha said.
