Bab 13: Chapter 13: Reunion and pre-Bronze Age, 3600 BCE

[Sudan, 3600 BCE]

*3rd Person POV*

Three people were fighting a bunch of deviants on the side of the Nile river. One of them was flying, shooting laser beams from his eyes, the other one was punching the deviants so hard that it knocked them away a couple of meters, and the other one shot energy from his fingers.

The three were of course Ikaris, Gilgamesh, and Kingo.

"Watch out!" Kingo shouted as he shot two energy balls towards Gilgamesh, and the ball hit a deviant that was about to pounce on Gilgamesh.

"Thanks!" Gilgamesh shouted. He then bitch slapped another Deviant, tossing it away from him.

Meanwhile Ikaris was fighting with a winged deviant in the sky, he threw the deviant to the ground, and stomped it. While the deviant is disoriented, Ikaris then uses his laser eyes to disintegrate the Deviant's head, killing it instantly.

"That's brutal boss..." Kingo commented. He was about to take a rest, when suddenly, Gilgamesh shouted.

"One's running away!"

All of them turned to the Deviant who was running away. "Your turn Kingo." said Ikaris with a small smirk.

"Oh come on!" Kingo groaned. He then dashed towards the deviant, chasing it.

Kingo was running beside the Nile River, chasing a deviant that got away from the other eternals.

"Hey! Ikaris! You should be the one who's chasing this!" Kingo shouted in annoyance.

"Don't whine Kingo, it's your turn to be the one who's chasing." Gilgamesh is the one who shouted back.

Kingo just clicked his tongue, he ran as fast as an eternal could while shooting his finger guns to the deviants, but it missed. Kingo then saw that the Deviants ran into a cave, making Kingo groan in annoyance.

"Guys, come on, it's inside the cave! Help me a bit will you?" Kingo said to the others.

"The Hero Kingo can't kill a single deviant?" Gilligan commented in amusement as he approached Kingo.

Kingo snorted and looked at Ikaris. "Boss?"

Ikaris just laughed calmly and patted Kingo's shoulder. "Let's go inside."

The three began to enter the not-so-small cave. It has a bunch of caveman drawings on its walls, and it's dark, really dark.

"Can you see in this darkness boss?" Kingo asked Ikaris about this.

"I don't have night vision Kingo..." Ikaris informed.

"Gilgamesh?" Kingo asked Gilgamesh again, he's a bit nervous.

"I can punch hard, not see in the dark." Gilgamesh refuted.

"Then we should take a torch first or something..." Kingo murmured as they walked deeper into the cave.

"It'll be fine..." Ikaris commented. "It's only one deviant."

"Easy for you to say boss, I can't see anything here!"

"Keep quiet Kingo." Gilgamesh said. "The deviant might hear you-"

But just after Gilligan said that, a body of a withered deviant suddenly was thrown towards them, making them alert.

"What the hell?!" Kingo cursed. "What happened to the deviant?!"

Ikari's eyes started to glow golden, signalling that he's ready to fight, and so did Gilligan, who had conjured his exoskeleton.

The ground suddenly shook, and Ikaris came forward, ready to be the lead fighter.

"Careful boss, we don't know what it is… it could be the deviants that can absorb other animals like Pluto said to us..." Kingo said while activating his finger guns.

Ikaris didn't listen to Kingo, and kept moving forward. The ground was still shaking, as if a humongous monster was approaching them.

The cave was once again really dark, they couldn't see anything except the area that was lit by their cosmic energy, and it made the atmosphere tense.

And they saw it.

A nine headed 'beast' suddenly appeared from the darkness. It glowed golden, it didn't look corporeal, as Kingo could see that its body was transparent, and only distorted golden lines marked the body. 7 of the nine heads were staring at Ikaris, while the other two stared at Kingo and Gilgamesh,

"What in the name of Arishem is that?!" Kingo freaked out. He and Ikaris were about to attack it when Gilgamesh said. "Don't attack, I know who it is…" Gilgamesh announced as he was smiling.

"Wh- What are you saying?! That's a monster!" Kingo refuted, but before he could attack it, another voice sounded.

"Well, well, well, we haven't seen each other in a long time… and now you want to attack us?" the voice said as a man appeared from the darkness with his usual strange smile.

*1st Person POV*

[A couple of hours earlier]

Me and Thena are walking towards upper Egypt, following the Nile river. It's been getting more and more hot right now.

We are on the back of one of my constructs, as the construct is also bringing the Vibranium.

"We should take a rest first..." Thena suggested.

"You're tired?" I questioned, that's rare.

"No, but the heat is annoying." she answered, okay, that explains a lot.

"Fine, I saw a cave nearby, let's go there." I gave it an okay, and we both walked towards the direction of the cave.

As we almost arrived at the cave, Thena saw that the cave had drawings at the walls.

"Humans have a thing for art it seems." she commented.

"It's a form of expression I guess..." I commented. "Let's go inside."

Me and Thena then entered the cave, and we instantly sighed as it was really dark.

"Can you summon your weapon? So we can have some light here." I asked Thena.

The woman just hummed, and she summoned her signature halberd, lighting up the dark.

"That's better..." I hummed, I absorbed my construct back, and we set up a temporary resting place there. I also placed the Vibranium aside for now.

"You think they've changed?" Thena suddenly asked me as she sat down.

"I doubt it." I shrugged. "We're eternals after all..."

She hummed. "Will we stay at the place? Or are we going to move again once we arrive?" she asked again.

"That I don't know." I answered. "I'm not omniscient Thena, you need to see it for yourself once we've arrived."

"Well, based on your behaviour this couple of centuries, you sure act like one." she said sarcastically.

"Really? How so?"

"The drying of the desert, the vibranium..."

I hummed. "I mean… now that you say it… but still, I'm not omniscient."

"Whatever you say..."

Suddenly, a loud shriek could be heard from outside the cave, and it instantly made me and Thena alert.

"A deviant?" She questioned with a narrowed gaze.

"Well, be ready." I said, I summoned one of my newest additions, let me introduce you to Hydra 2.0(Hydra 1.0 x Hydra 1.0 x Hydra 1.0), my most powerful construct yet, the cosmic energy is so unstable that it's body became distorted, making this sort of semi-corporeal body.

It has nine heads, and it's powers are similar to Apophis, but, when it's absorbing the cosmic energy from something, it can also transform it into poison at its mouth, so its mouth will be extremely deadly and toxic.

Overall, pretty nice.

The sound of the shriek was getting closer and closer to our place, and we finally saw the deviant, it looked like it was afraid or something. It's the first time I've seen that the deviants were afraid. Usually I never really noticed it… but this time, it's quite obvious.

"It's just one." Thena said as she relaxed a bit. "Your construct can kill it."

I just hummed as my eyes glow golden, signifying that I was commanding my construct.

As the deviant got closer and closer, my construct moved, making the ground rumble. Without knowing anything, the deviant's neck, stomach, and four legs were pounced by Hydra, instantly incapacitating it.

Hydra then absorbed its cosmic energy rather quickly, and once all of it was absorbed, Hydra threw the corpse to the entrance of the cave like it was trash.

After Hydra did that, I saw that a speck of light suddenly appeared near the entrance, I narrowed my eyes as I wanted to figure out what it was.

"Did you see that?" I asked Thena, who was now looking at the speck of light.

"Yes, the golden light..." she murmured.

"It feels like… cosmic energy." I continued. Then, we heard a rather 'familiar' voice, it's been a long time since we've heard that voice, rambling around.

"Is that… Kingo?" Thena asked me.

I smiled at the thought. "I think it is." I then looked at my Hydra and said. "Let's greet them shall we?"

Thena just grinned, and we both advanced to them, along with my Hydra, who is making the ground shake.

Hydra then approaches the three, and its nine heads lowered down, staring at the three, 7 at Ikaris, and other two on Gilgamesh and Kingo.

"What in the name of Arishem is that?!" We heard Kingo freaked out. We then saw that Ikaris's eyes glow brighter and brighter, but then was stopped by Gilgamesh, who realized that it was me. "Don't attack, I know who it is…" Gilgamesh announced as he was smiling.

"Wh- What are you saying?! That's a monster!" We heard Kingo shout, he wanted to attack Hydra, but I quickly announced myself, surprising the three.

"Well, well, well, we haven't seen each other in a long time… and now you want to attack us?" I said as I tried to make the strangest smile I will give to people.

Meanwhile, Thena was leaning against the cave wall, her face looking smug as always, smirking to the three, her halberd lighting up her face beside her. "Hello..."

Ikaris and Kingo looked very surprised, much to my amusement, while Gilgamesh just smiled beside them, as if he expected it.

"Thena!" Gilgamesh stepped forward, welcoming Thena and tried to hug her. She accepted, albeit reluctantly much to my amusement. I then turned to the other two, who were still looking at me with surprise.

"What? No greetings?" I questioned.

Kingo was the first to snap out of it. "Mister P!" he shouted.

"Wait what?" I asked, what did he just call me? Please don't tell me that I heard Mister P…

Kingo then approached me and hugged me quite tightly, and tried to kiss my cheek, which made me freaked out.

"Whoa, whoa, no homo Kingo." I raised my hand in defence.

"What man? I haven't seen you in centuries!"

"Still man, these cheeks are off limits." I countered. "It's for a special one later on..."

Kingo snorted. "I doubt you will get laid with the humans."

"Stay out of my sexual business Kingo." I said. I then turned to the boy who flew too close to the sun, well, that story doesn't exist yet…

"Good to see you again Ikaris." I said politely, I never really was close to the guy, just a couple of talks, and that's it.

"Good to see you too Pluto." he nodded while smiling.

"I see that you got an upgrade since you left." Kingo commented while looking at Hydra 2.0 "A big one at that..."

"Oh I've discovered plenty since I left." I smirked. "I can probably beat all of you in a single fight at once now."

Kingo laughed loudly at my words. "Nice one Mister P..."

I didn't hear it wrong again right? Mister P?

"He's not joking." Thena defended me. "I haven't fought him myself… but I know a lost cause when I see one."

"Really?" Gilgamesh questioned skeptically. "Even with Ikaris and Makkari?"

"Really." Thena nodded.

"Well, let's try that some other time." Kingo shrugged. "Let's go back, I'm sure they'll be delighted to see you after all these years."

"I doubt it." I shrugged. "But help me with these will you?" I pointed at the Vibranium.

"What are those?" Ikaris asked, examining the chunks of Vibranium, he tried to crush it with his bare hands, but it didn't work, which made him frown. "What is this?"

"Vibranium." I said, which surprised him. "Save the talk, just help me carry this to Hydra's back."

"Hydra?"

"The nine headed construct."

"Oh, okay..."

After that, the rest of them helped me and Thena brought the Vibranium to where Ajak and the rest were, riding along with the Hydra.

Bab 14: Chapter 14: in Egypt w/ Sprite, 3600 BCE (1)

[Upper Egypt, 3600 BCE]

We're nearing Upper Egypt now, where Phastos parked the Domo, the place still looks empty, as Egypt hasn't been united yet.

We're passing through a settlement, and once the humans at the settlement saw my Hydra walking through their settlement, they freaked out and ran away… Now that I think about it, I miss this feeling… making the humans shit in their pants…

"I see old habits haven't changed." Gilgamesh commented in amusement.

"What? We're only passing through." I answered innocently.

Gilgamesh just shook his head in amusement and didn't say anything anymore.

"Where is it by the way?" I asked. "The Domo I mean."

"Just follow the directions." Kingo answered. "We're hiding the domo from the humans now."

"Different tactics?" I asked.

He hummed. "Ajak said that we better hide our technology from them."

"Good thinking." I hummed back. "Soon enough, we'll have to hide our powers as well."

"But that would not be a case for a long time." Gilgamesh added.

Our group then continued to travel to where the Domo was parked. It was hidden alright, it's hidden between the hills. I wouldn't have guessed it if I'm not told that the domo was there.

We looked upon the domo, and we were beamed to the inside of it, like star trek i guess… not that I remember the plot of that movie.

As soon as our vision came back, we were greeted by a smiling Ajak and a frowning Sersi, while the rest were nowhere to be seen.

"Welcome back, Thena and Pluto." Ajak welcomed us.

"Did you really have to scare the entire population of Upper Egypt just to get here?" Sersi questioned while crossing her hands, not even welcoming us.

"Good to see you too, Sersi." I said sarcastically. "By the way, where's Phastos?"

"Hiding from you." Sersi commented.

Ajak shook her head in amusement and decided to interfere. "Come on, let's go to the meeting room."

"Can you help us bring this then?" I pointed at the basket beside me.

"What's that?" Sersi questioned.

"Souvenirs..."

Sersi raised her eyebrow and looked at what's inside it. "Glowing rocks?"

"It's Vibranium." I specified, which surprises Sersi and Ajak.

"There's Vibranium on earth?" Sersi questioned once again.

I shrugged. "I discovered it."

"Where is it?"

"It's quite close from here. Maybe a day of flying using my fastest construct. By the way… I'm curious… Can you transmute something into Vibranium?"

"Of course I can't." she shook her head. "It's a special metal..."

"I don't know what you mean but I'll take the answer." I said. "Now, help me or not?"

"I'll take it to the storage." Gilgamesh offered.

"Thank you Gil." I said it with the most sincere tone I've ever done, which wasn't much.

He rolled his eyes and grabbed the basket, bringing it to the storage.

"Come on, tell us about your journey." Ajak then guided us to the meeting room, where I finally saw Sprite inside it, not really doing anything.

"Hello Sprite." I greeted the little girl.

"Hello Mister P." she said, smirking. Nope, I totally didn't hear Mister P.

"What is up with these nicknames?!" I questioned rather harshly.

"Because you're a dick?" Sprite snorted. "Leaving us at the spur of the moment...."

"It wasn't the spur of the moment." I pointed out. "And besides, I was sick of waiting, so I left."

"Still, you left us."

"Ajak agreed with it."

"I didn't."

"You said you were 'fine with it'." I said in a deadpan look.

"I changed my mind." this fucking kid is annoying…

"Fine, whatever."

"Calm down all of you." Ajak said in a motherly tone. "Now, would you tell me how your journey went? Thena? Pluto?"

I hummed along with Thena, we both then continued to tell our journey, about becoming a 'god' for a tribe, saving a group of people, taking care of them, teaching gorillas sign language, teaching gorillas how to fight, trolling some human tribe that tried to attack us, and the evolving deviant.

Ajak frowned more and more when she listened to our story. "You taught humans Thena?"

"It's to protect them, they were kids." Thena argued.

"The problem here is that Pluto taught this 'gorillas' sign language!" Sprite said. "That didn't raise any flags to you all?"

"I mean it was just an experiment..." I countered. "The knowledge will probably die down after a couple of hundred years..."

"It was still wrong, Pluto." Ajak said sternly. "But what's done is done, don't do it again."

I just hummed, she can't control me, I'll do it whenever I want again.

"Now, what about the 'evolving deviant' you talked about, you warned us about it, but we never see them."

I proceeded to tell them the details about the deviant we encountered at the river, and Ajak frowned more and more the longer I explained.

"Have you encountered it again?" she asked.

I shook my head. "No, it was just at that one time."

She hummed. "We need to investigate this more..." she said. "But for now… why don't you tour around this part of the world?"

"What? Tour?"

"Yes, with Sprite."

"No way!" Sprite refused. "I'm not going to be a tour guide!"

"You're well liked by the humans here Sprite… your stories fascinate them."

"Well, He can tour the place himself!"

"Sprite. Behave." Ajak sternly said.

Sprite just grumbles. "Fine..."

"Wait… does no one want to mention that Pluto just named every single animal and location he encountered?" Kingo suddenly commented.

"It's easier that way." I shrugged. "Now, are there any more questions? I need to see Phastos, I need to get my long awaited weapon..."

"You can go now." Ajak nodded, and I quickly left with Thena and Sprite.

"Just wait outside, it'll be quick." I said to both of them.

"Five minutes, and we're leaving," said Sprite.

"What? You'll tour the entire place just by walking?" I asked in amusement, which she just grumbled and walked quickly to the exit.

I then entered Phastos lab, and I saw that he's currently examining the Vibranium I brought.

"Enjoying the souvenir?" I questioned, making him jump in fright, but once he saw me, he snorted.

"Where did you get this?" he asked.

"At a place." I said.

"Need details here." he said hurriedly.

"I'll tell you later, but for now, make me my weapon."

He stared at me for a while before sighing. "Fine… I made you wait long enough anyway..."

"When will it be done?" I asked excitedly.

"When it's finished," he said.

I sighed, well, I guess it's better than nothing. "Alright then, see you later Phastos."

I then got out of his lab to do his thing, and walked towards Sprite and Thena. They were standing awkwardly outside, waiting for me.

"Alright, where do we go first?" I asked while summoning my winged construct.

"Let's go to the nearest settlement town first." Sprite said dismissively.

"Okay, ladies first." I allowed the two ladies to hop on my winged construct first, and they did, after that, I hopped on.

"Don't land in the populated area, land near it." Sprite said. "It'll just ruin their perception towards us."

"Look at you Sprite… Watching your reputation." I teased, which made her snort.

"They treat me like a kid there anyway..." She murmured, I heard that, but didn't say anything.

We then flew to the nearest settlement, there isn't a name for it yet, but I could tell that this was going to be one of the biggest cities in Egypt.

"People here call this land Kemet." Sprite informed. "They worship a lot of gods, but one of the dominant ones is Hathor, the Goddess of Fertility… it's basically Sersi..."

I raised my eyebrow. "Sersi? How come that's the case?"

"Well, Sersi did her thing like usual, and slowly but surely, people started worshiping her… so, I made a story about her being a cow goddess and all..."

"Cow? Sersi's not mad?" Thena questioned in amusement.

"Not really, she's flattered that the humans worshipped her to be honest..." Sprite shrugged. "There's also Horus, that's Ikaris..."

"I don't even want to know how did you think about these stories, Sprite." I shook my head in amusement, "Right, let's land."

We then landed beside a hill near the settlement so they didn't panic when they saw us. The land was quite wet considering that the Sahara is getting more and more hotter, I guess that's the Nile's effect.

We're now on top of the hill, overlooking the small settlement on the foot of it.

"They're just moving in." Sprite said. "They used to be nomadic."

"I can tell..." I said, looking at the temporary tents that they build. "Probably because of the drying."

"Who knows." She shrugged. "Let's go.'

The Three of us then walked down the hill, walking towards the settlement. Once we arrived, we saw a lot of people building mud houses, planting seeds in the farmlands near the Nile, tending to livestock, making pottery, and many more. It's soon going to be a busy settlement.

"What do they call this place?" I asked.

"They don't have a name for it yet." Sprite said. "But probably not for long till they got one."

I hummed, and we continued to walk through the crowd, amidst the busy 'street' of the settlement.

"What are we doing here now?" Thena, who had been quiet, asked.

"I'm just going to give you a tour..." Sprite murmured. "Nothing else."

Suddenly, a lot of people's gazes seemed to turn to us, particularly to Sprite.

They smiled and greeted her, while they only bowed to us. Thena and I looked at each other, and just nodded back.

"Looks like you're respected here." I commented.

"The Deviants used to regularly attack them." Sprite said. "Until Ikaris and the others got rid of it."

"Interesting..." I murmured. "They see you as gods?"

"No..." she said. "At least not me… I'm like the god's messenger to them I guess..."

"Really? That's amusing." I chuckled. "Like a kid messenger?"

"Don't remind me." she grumbled, and we continued to walk through the settlement, occasionally stopping because people offered us some bread and beer… which was interesting.

"So the staple food here is bread and beer?" Thena questioned, while Sprite was conversing with the locals.

"It's basically it, plus beef." she nodded. "It's quite a lot already considering the technology they have."

"This region is quite rich…" I commented. "I bet they'll be an empire."

"Sure, whatever." Sprite then stood up and said thanks to the people who gave them food. When we're about to leave, a couple of kids suddenly grabbed Sprite's arm, and asked her to play.

"Go ahead Sprite, play with the kids your age." I chuckled in amusement, but she was not amused.

"Shut up, let's just go." She sternly said, she excused herself from the kids, making them cry, and we walked away from them, towards the hill we landed.

"You really have to make them cry?" Thena questioned, frowning at Sprite.

"They're being a bother." Sprite answered. "Why do you care anyway?"

"Oh, you don't know yet." I chuckled. "She's a bit soft towards children."

"Really? That's funny." Sprite smirked. "So you're going soft on me too?"

"You're no child Sprite." Thena coldly said, making Sprite shiver.

"R-Right… of course, who am I kidding, it's not like every human calls me a kid..."

After that, I summoned my construct again, and we flew north, to Lower Egypt.
