She spoke mainly to him and more to herself as she kept patting Azrail's head. He wasn't even given a lot of time to react before Raena had pulled him into her embrace, with the darkness over her head gone for the moment, those inner gentle sleeves of hers coming out, along with that powerful motherly touch as she lovingly rubbed Azrail's head.

The woman in question was no doubt being very different from how she was, as Azrail replied.

"Everyone's suffering their own marks; you have yours, and I had mine. Nothing is too small, and no suffering is worth nothing."
