Bab 135: 135. Anger & Fear

James had taken his decision and he didn't want to regret it even though he knew there's something bad would happen in either of those choices. James just tricked his mind and heart and hoped there's would be something good at the end of the story.

All he could do was just faced what in front of him instead of thought the possibility of both choices. If he was a superhero he wanted to save both of them. He didn't use his feeling on decided which one should be his priority.

He used his mind, he thought that Diana would be the best choice that he chooses. He couldn't save both at the same time but looked and Diana that late because of him and she was standing in front of him made him think that it was a bigger problem.
