Bab 228: The Wrong Side

The group sat down in disbelief. They couldn't believe what Monk had done. He had just pulled out his black sash that he obtained when he first entered the academy and placed it on the table.

Seeing this, tears started to instantly fill Martha's eyes as she knew what this meant in an instant.

Before the city had been taken over by the Red wings. Avrion had a rule, returning your sash to them meant you quit being a knight. Avrion had kept most of the systems in place from before apart from the upper management of the city.

"Monk, you do know what this means don't you?" Slyvia said in a strong voice.

"I have come back to this city for this reason only." Monk replied, "There is no longer any need to go looking for me. As you can see, I'm safe and sound."

"What happened Monk!" Dan shouted, "Are you possessed by the Shadow, is that why you are doing this."

Monk shook his head indicating he wasn't.
