Bab 18: Chapter 16
After showering and dressing, Naruto grabbed a scroll that he sealed the things he would need for the mission and put it in his jacket. Strapping Zanpakuto to his side. Naruto called Hinata -who was done packing her own necessities- to grab a quick bite to eat then headed to meet his team at the gate.
Arriving at the gate Naruto and Hinata was in for a slight shock. Kakashi was on time! Guess the rumors had been right, Kakashi did only show up on time to missions. After a few more minutes everyone was there.
"Alright team everyone packed and ready?" Asked Kakashi.
"Yes Sensei." echoed the genins. While Tazuna just took another sip on his bottle.
Kushina noticing something asked. "Naruto, Hinata, where is your pack?"
Naruto raised an eyebrow, but evidently pulled his sealing scroll out of his jacket and showed it to Kushina.
"Oh Okay." said Kushina as they started walking. Naruto put the scroll back into his jacket.
Naoko seeing this, was curious so she asked "What's that scroll got to do with your pack Naruto-nii?"
"That scroll is our pack Naoko-chan, Backpacks are bulky and restrict movement. So to solve that problem we seal everything we need into a scroll." explained Hinata.
"You seal it?" asked Naoko surprised that her Onii-chan could do something so advanced, their parents always did try to teach them sealing but she could never got the hang of it as it was too complicated for her. Mito although a little better than her, still wasn't at a level where she can make scrolls without supervision.
"That's amazing Nii-chan" complimented Mito "I know a little sealing myself, but still not close to your level. Would you mind giving some pointers?"
Seeing her all hopeful the blonde boy sighed and replied "I'll think about it" surprising everyone.
"Naruto-nii I need help with sealing too!" said Naoko, Sasuke perked his ear at their conversation, but since it was about Fuinjutsu he lost interest and just brooded at the side.
"We'll see" the blonde said, making his sisters smile while Hinata just giggled at them.
Kakashi was looking proud at Naruto, he could see that he was starting to open up to the twins, maybe not as family but as teammates. But still an improvement he thought.
Kushina on the other hand was happy for her children bonding, but was a little jealous since the twins looked more enthusiastic with their brother teaching them rather than her and Minato.

3 Hours Later
Team 7 along with Tazuna were walking down the path towards wave country. They were in a diamond formation around Tazuna with Mito, Naoko, and Sasuke at point, Kushina and Kakashi at the sides and Naruto and Hinata at the rear. Mito was making small talk with Tazuna about their village and Kakashi had just explained to her the division of the ninja villages. Naoko was looking around at the scenery happily as this was the first time she had ever been outside for a mission. Sasuke was just indifferent and was walking silent, Kakashi was reading his book, Kushina was looking longingly at her son, while Hinata and Naruto were on guard for anything. Flirting, yes but still on guard.
Looking at their easy going attitude Tazuna asked the jounins nervously "Are you sure they are ready to protect me, they don't seem that reliable. Well, except for the blonde boy, he scares me"
"Don't you worry Tazuna-san, with me around no one can harm you" said Naoko as Mito just giggled and nodded. Sasuke didn't care, he just wanted a challenge. Naruto and Hinata were still stuck in their little pink space, they heard the conversation but thought it was irrelevant and ignored it.
"Yes this is a C-rank mission and will consist mostly of thieves and bandits with no ninja encounters a Gennin can handle them no problem. Plus, we are both Jounin" said Kakashi as he pointed at him and Kushina. "Elite Ninjas so there's nothing you need to be worried about." He assured with an eye smile and got back to reading as Tazuna nodded nervously and drank some more sake.
Kushina on the other hand appeared normal outside but was getting suspicious with his nervousness but kept it in the back of her mind for the time being and returned to taking peeks at Naruto and Hinata 'They look so cute!!'
They walked for hours until noon, Naruto who was flirting with Hinata suddenly noticed two familiar chakra signatures.
Naruto 'Water? it hasn't rained for days and they picked water, those idiots. This is really pathetic...even for chunin!' he watched over the group Tazuna, Naoko, Mito and Sasuke doesn't seem to notice but Hinata(obviously), Kakashi and Kushina seem to know about it.
Naruto suddenly let out a small cough, catching Kakashi and Kushina's attention. He looked at them and Kakashi blinked two times. Naruto gave a barely visible nod, it seems the two jonin want to wait and see what happens.
When they were a few feet from the puddle two ninja came out of it. They were connected with their gauntlets by a chain. They rushed towards Kakashi who was torn apart by the sharp chain.
"No!!, Kakashi-jiisan!!" shouted Naoko, while Mito and Sasuke tensed up. Hinata and Naruto had indifferent reactions since they already knew Kakashi had used a substitution.
Kushina in a defensive position yelled "Genin...protect Tazuna!" She then turned to the two ninja "Who are you...what do you want?"
Meizu dashed towards the rear Gennin while Gozu answered, but then he noticed a particular scary blonde.
"We came for the old man...leave now and you will get to liv- Oh shit!! Meizu!!! it's Naruto-sama, Hinata-sama!!! STOP!!!" said Gozu as he pulled the chain they were connected to. Meizu stopped in his tracks just in time as he saw the devil and his girlfriend glaring at him.
"N-na-Ruto-sama we didn't know, please spare our lives!!" shouted Meizu, he was immediately joined by his brother Gozu, both were currently in a seiza begging Naruto for forgiveness.
This caught everyone off guard, while Naruto just smirked at their antics. Kakashi joined them but no one noticed him. They were all too focused on Naruto.
"Naruto who are they?" asked Kushina
Shrugging her question, Naruto asked the brothers one thing "Are 'they' here?", both paused and a second later as if getting what he meant both brother's looked at each other nodded and said "They are"
"Ok then, you guys can leave. Just don't tell them about us, yet" said Naruto pointing at him and Hinata. The brothers nodded at his order and flickered to leave.
After they left the Gennin relaxed, Naoko asked the question on everyone's mind "Naruto-nii who were they?"
"Why do they know you two?" asked Sasuke narrowing his eyes as he heard both chuunin address Naruto with 'sama'.
"They were the demon brothers, Gozu and Meizu. Chuunin rank mising nin from Kirigakure no Sato" he said without looking at them. He then turned to Hinata and said "This trip going to be a lot more fun than we thought"
"Your just saying that since you want to see 'Her'" said Hinata with a pout and narrowed eyes. Naruto shivered at what she said, he remembered a certain masked 'kunoichi' that had a Obsessi - *cough* crush on him.
"Please don't joke around like that Hime" said Naruto as cold sweat run down his spine.
Knowing that they wouldn't get any answers from Naruto, Kushina asked Tazuna "We need to talk. You lied to us."
Tazuna started to sweat and said "W-what do you mean."
Kakashi "She means the fact that two amateur chuunin came for you. If the hokage knew that he would classified it as a higher ranked mission."
Tazuna decided to come clean since there was no use in lying anymore "It's true. The land of waves is a poor country and the little money we earn is being taken by the man who rules our country...Gato."
"Gato? As in Gato import and export?" asked Kushina.
"Who is he, Kaa-chan-sensei?" asked Naoko.
"Gato is a tycoon who controls half the business of wave. He took control of all the shipping lines and is currently sucking the country dry. It is also rumored that he is one of the richest people on the whole elemental nations second only to the Daimyo's" answered Naruto. Getting another round of surprised looks.
Tazuna nodded "Yes the same one. We decided to bring enough money together to build an bridge that connected us to the mainland. Gato don't like that idea since he would lose a lot of power because then we could transport our good ourselves to the mainland and his export business would be useless. I am the bridge builder which means...if I am dead there will be no bridge. Gato is a ruthless bastard who would even sell his soul for power."
Sasuke said in a ruthless tone "We should abandon you." making Tazuna flinch.
Tazuna "I understand. If I need to I will go back alone. Of course I will be killed by Gato's goons and my family will cry everyday wondering why I had to die. My grandson would of course curse Konoha to the deepest pits of hell because they had the power to protect me. But oh well...orders are orders right?"
Most people got a guilty look on their face. Naruto thought 'Nice one old man...playing the guilt card like that. You're really a good card player...let's see how Kakashi and Kushina will react to your bluff'
Kakashi said "Well...squad...what about it? Shall we continue or turn back?"
Naoko "Of course we will go on! I've waited so long for a real mission and I am not going to back down now!"
"I agree with Naoko-chan" said Hinata, while Naruto nodded.
"It'll be for our own benefit if we finished this mission. Since we'll have access to the land export if we form an alliance with wave afterwards" Mito said logically.
Sasuke "Hn..let's keep moving."
"Then it's decided, we continue. But let me remind you this mission is off the scope which means if either me or Kakashi decide the mission has become too dangerous we will abort it immediately ...understand?" Kushina said as they all nodded.

Gredihart No chapters tomorrow, and I'm gonna update my release from everyday to 3times a week. I don't have anymore back up chapters, I'll bulk some and maybe I could do a mass release on the chuunin exams.
There will be a lot of fighting later on this arc so don't worry.
And Yeah, I changed my mind about Haku, 'She' will be a girl again.
