Bab 155: The White Beauty, Xiao Wu's Human Appearance
Brak! Rumbles. . . .
A shovel protruded from the broken wall, clearing the rubbles around the newly-made hole.
"Finally!" a voice full of delight echoed from the hole. A young figure two long braids behind her head leapt out from the newly-made hole. It was a newly-made braid since walking through a small hole would dirtying her untied hair.
Staring at left and right, a smile full of delight adding the halo of the young girl's charming figure. Striding here and there, she jumped around while enjoying the surroundings, enjoying the amusement in front of her, no, surrounding her.
"Yueyue, don't ask me to do this kind of thing again." A sulky voice resounded from the dug hole, swinging the shovel in her hand while having the I-want-to-cry expression. Of course, after being forced to dig the hard and cold stone ground, who wouldn't have such teary eyes and wronged expression.
It was a young lady in the white garment, with a trace of childishness in her whining. But if one only saw the outer appearance of the young lady, there was only one word.

"I won't, I won't." Mingyue just waved her hand, but she didn't pay any attention to Xiao Wu's current situation. Her sparkling eyes were glued to a few things in the room, the point of interest.
It was a man-sized statue with jade armour covered the statue. It was not a full plate armour, but almost one. The armour was very exquisite, with deep-green-coloured jade covered the vital part of the body. On the chest part, there was a faint carving. Also, in this set of jade armour, there was also a mask, red-coloured smiling mask. Even though it was smiling, it would send a shiver toward anyone who saw the red mask.
But that was not what pulled Mingyue's attention, but rather the baleful aura surrounding this armour along with a concealed killing intent. It was the first time she found something with this thick baleful aura that could make her skin shivered for a moment.
"Do you want that, Yueyue?" Xiao Wu returned to her original form, the white-furred hornless deer. She went beside Mingyue while eyeing the jade armour. After eyeing from top to bottom, no matter what, she wasn't interested in the jade armour while something made her felt uncomfortable. Her eyebrows were furrowed while went closer toward Mingyue and said, "I don't like it, Yueyue. Can we go?"
The baleful aura indeed intimidated Xiao Wu, giving an invisible pressure along with weird feeling.
"Nope, I don't need it. And even if I get this thing, I sure will throw this as a non-combustion trash" Retracting her observing eyes, Mingyue swept her glance at a bunch of armour behind the jade armour. It was an ash-coloured armour without any distinction, without the helmet. There was only a chest plate, shoulders plate, legs plate, hands plate, and a red-coloured mask. But the mask was not as eerie as the one from jade armour.
There was a huge difference between the two armour. If this jade armour would be donned by a general, then the bunch of armours behind were more like the army's armour. Also, the armour's quality between the two type of armours was vastly different.
But after looking all of it, there was a big question in Mingyue's mind.
[What is this Trial of the King? It is kind of impossible if it is only about retrieving these armours, right? Since there is a word 'king', then there should have some relationship.] Mingyue dove in deep contemplation while rubbing her chin.
But her thinking was disturbed by Xiao Wu's nudging. "Yueyue, what is that funny looking hat?" Xiao Wu was looking at the opposite side of the jade armour statue.
When Mingyue turned her head, she couldn't find what Xiao Wu was asking about. But not long after, the tip of her lips twitched in disbelief.
"What hat, eh? If you call that hat, other can call you white horse."
"NO! Don't want to! I am not a horse! I don't want to pull any heavy thing!"
Over there, a huge stone which was shaped into a left hand was donned in the golden gauntlet, with six gems with different colour was embedded in it. The five fingers of the gauntlet were directed upward as if piercing the sky, showing the magnificence of the gauntlet. It looked expensive and glittering, but also looked gaudy and useless for Mingyue. She couldn't imagine of a complete set of this armour, the gold armour, glittering under the bright sun, making the wearer like an idiot. Big idiot.
No more than a decoration.

Nothing she could do because in her opinion, gold was a burden, something useless in Mingyue's previous life, and she still had that prejudice under her consciousness, that reflex already flowed in his blood.
Other than using gold as currency, she had no any interest at all.
As Mingyue walked closer toward the gauntlet, she could gauge the overall size of the gauntlet. But this gauntlet was filled with unknown metal along with gold plating, along with some weird carving around the six embedded gems. And similar to the jade armour, this gauntlet had a baleful aura, but a very concealed one. If one didn't have the sharp perception like Mingyue, no one would realize the baleful aura.
Realizing that the baleful between the gaudy gauntlet with the armours behind, Mingyue fell into deep contemplation.
[Those armours are in a set, at the very least. but this thing is only a gauntlet. Will this gaudy gauntlet be in a set?]
After imagining the glittering full armour, Mingyue shook her head. [I believe there is no one that stupid. wearing a glittering armour means a beacon in the middle of the night, attracting a lot of attention.]
Seeing that Mingyue's serious expression, Xiao Wu couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong, Yueyue? You don't like these things? Didn't you say that you want to sell these things for money earlier?"
Mingyue eased up as she chuckled at Xiao Wu, "Even if I sell them, no one in the black Iron City is capable to purchase this thing. Well, the City Governor should be able to, but I believe they will not take this thing." She went closer toward the gauntlet and knocked the gauntlet. "Also, this thing is dangerous for normal folks."
When her delicate finger touched the gauntlet, a sharp killing intent weighed down on Mingyue. But how could a mere killing intent be a trouble for Mingyue? With a small wave from her hand, everything went back, returned to normal, as if nothing had happened.
From the corner of Mingyue's eyes, she could see a small Elemental glued on the gauntlet.
[Since these things are all useless, tracing this gaudy gauntlet toward that so-called 'higher-ups from Sword of Judgement' is a little better.] Mingyue had an evil smirk behind her nonchalant expression.
After leaving a mark on the gauntlet, she would be able to track the gauntlet whereabout, as long as their distance was not too far. and even if they were split too far, the connection between her and the mark she left wouldn't be severed no matter what.
And when the distance between Mingyue and the golden gauntlet, she could feel the latter's position clearly.
"Why? Because it is expensive thing?" Xiao Wu didn't understand any of Mingyue's word, making her ask again.
"Nope. Similar with that, that, and those red masks behind us, this gaudy gauntlet is capable to make someone crazy or idiot. The principal is similar with the last stage of Frost Step, Frost Dream. Affecting a part of the target's brain, and later, the target's five senses will be manipulated. And in this case, the armour and gauntlet wearer will be controlled by this baleful aura, by these armours and gauntlet. Maybe their end will be a puppet. I am not sure a hundred percent, but at least eighty percent sure."
Mingyue's explanation was simple, but the content was dreadful. Even Xiao Wu shivered from that explanation as she couldn't think that someone could be made as a puppet. Who would be such heartless, leaving these disgusting things hor humanity? Also, the name of this place was. . .
Trial of the King.
"Heck! What Trial of the King! Trick of the S**t should suffice! Or perhaps, Trial of the Scammer!" Xiao Wu scowled while nudging Mingyue to step back a little further.
"It's fine, Xiao Wu. Those things will not affect me, haha. . ." Even though that was what Mingyue said, she couldn't hide her delight of Xiao Wu's overprotective nature.
"Fine, let's go."
Mingyue rubbed the soft and silky white fur on Xiao Wu's long neck, and the latter enjoyed it.
But Xiao Wu's enjoyment didn't stay long as Mingyue gave her a death verdict, "Xiao Wu, close the hole. We will leave this place."
". . . Can I not?" Xiao Wu sulked while shooting an accusing look, but she was bound to disappointment. She didn't mind to change her appearance into a human, but she didn't like the job.
"Accept your fate~ " Mingyue smirked while handing over the shovel.
In the end, Xiao Wu only sighed in her defeat and returned into human form. But as she was smashing and making a big boulder to close the hole, Xiao Wu realized that Mingyue was not by her side.
Seeing that small figure with two long braids in front of the gaudy gauntlet, Xiao Wu asked, "Yueyue, are we going or not?"
"Of course, I'm coming, I'm coming!" Mingyue turned her body and dashed toward the hole. But in a flash of a moment, a trace of mischievous could be seen from her eyes.
". . . Don't say that you are reluctant to leave that glittering thing? Just leave it here, Yueyue. It is useless." Xiao Wu only threw a side-glance toward the gauntlet, making her unable to realize anything. She was too focused on the task in front of her.
"Nope, I just feel irritated from seeing that gaudy gauntlet. I left something on the gauntlet, just think of it as my present for those bastards." Mingyue let out an evil laugh while imagining the group of bastard's reaction. "Unfortunately, I cannot watch them."
Bam!
After rolling a big boulder into the hole, Xiao Wu started to pile rubbles above the boulder and hardened it in case the group of bastard would destroy the boulder. It would be bad if the group of bastard follow Mingyue and her."Isn't there is Xiao Jing?"
"O~oh! That's right." Mingyue covered her giggle while she created two balls of light. "Xiao Jing! Tell me if those bastards have done with their fourth trials!"
". . . Why?"
"Good show, good show obviously, why are you still asking? Just tell remind me if they have done with the trial, I don't want to miss such a good show."
". . . "
Xiao Jing was speechless of the weird request. But it was not her fault as she was focused on the group of the bastard, people from Sword of Light. In the end, she only nodded as her confirmation.
Following the dug hole, Mingyue and Xiao Wu returned to the earlier room, the place where Mingyue told Xiao Wu to start digging. They finally escaped from the narrow hole. But before Mingyue could do anything, she could hear a faint voice from the other side of the rubbles.
"Ho? There is someone nearby? Lucky~ . . ."
Not long after that, her smile stiffened as she cursed. . . F**k!
