Kellen Woods grew up never knowing a normal world. By the time he could walk, his mother and father had already sealed several serious gates that threatened the safety of his hometown. By the time his sister was born, they were famous worldwide.
So the world held their breath for when Kellen and his sister came of age, waiting to see what kind of power they would awaken.
His sister was just like his mom, same power, same class, while Kellen, woke up one day to find out what it meant to be special in a family the world watched. But in the worst way.
Awakening weaker then your powerful parents wasn’t unheard of, but when your younger sister awakened at the same class as your parent, anyone would feel inferior. And Kellen, never one to ask for hand outs, left the comfort and safety of his hometown to become better than the weak brat everyone thought he was.
Kellen went to the front lines, to where the gates normally broke out. From there, Kellen worked hard, and then worked some more until no one could doubt that he was good at his job. He got so good that even with his lower class, people would still hire him to help. But Kellen never took it to heart. He had learned a valuable lesson on the front lines. Classification only meant shit if you walked back out of the gate. Otherwise, shut your mouth and listen to those with more experience. They determined who made it out alive or not.
But Kellen was tired now. He had gotten everything out of his system, and the fast paced life on the front lines didn’t suit him anymore. Now, he wanted to go home, buy a house, maybe find a nice man to settle down with, and live a normal life.
All the while, the yellow eyes he’d met on the front lines haunted him, no matter how much he tried to forget about them.
Especially since the Esper they were attached to refused to let him go.

Wonderful story so far. The characters are great. Each one feels unique. I always looking forward to new chapters. Seeing where the story is going to go. However, the new name and book cover through me off. I almost removed this book because I didn’t recognize the cover or the name. The new cover is definitely different from the old version. Same with the new title.
I love the way you learn more of the past of characters. You get their subjective memory and through these memories you even get a better understanding of the world they life in.
Love the story and the characters are so endearing. I’m loving the steady development of Kellen and his relationships and can’t wait to read more!

At 327 chapters in, I love this book! The plot and world building holds together (if a tad shakily at times), but the most wonderful parts are the characters. So many, and they all have their individual personalities and quirks. And even the title is perfect. Kellen, an atypical guide, is, indeed, being tamed, but so is his exper. Their love story is raucous and endearing. If you're smut-averse, this may not be for you, but r18 bl lovers are sure to enjoy.

This story starts out good. However, before you invest in reading it, AVOID IT IF YOU ARE NOT INTO BONDAGE AND SPANKING! If I had known in advance that it was this sort of SMUT, THEN I WOULD HAVE AVOIDED THIS STORY! The writing is good. HOWEVER, the storyline tag should have indicated S&M sort of crap.
Love The Story Been Binge Reading It As Fast As I Can Since I Found It, Only Complaint Is After A While There Seems To Be Less Plot Movement And More Smut Which Is Good And Hot But Its Seems To Be Becoming The Main Story Instead Of The Plot

Oof i have to say this is one of the greenest BL/yaoi stories i’ve ever read and trust me, there are more crazies out there than a stable one. This is truly a breath of fresh air IMO. Without revealing too much, this is a guideverse novel (espers and guides). The story of a guide finding his pair, learning about true self, family, friendship and commitment whether it’s relationship or work. Overcoming psychological hurdles, past traumas and insecurities can definitely be reflected on the development of their story (including supporting characters) The characters are fascinating with their own individual personality and each of them are equipped with growth potential (psychologically and emotionally). I love the banter with each character’s interaction. Beautifully done if i have to say so. I maybe biased to a point but hey, what i can i say when i ate novels like this for breakfast, lunch and dinner 🤪 In lieu of that, i have to thank the author where credit is due. Awesome job 👏👏👏 The smut? CHEF’S KISS 💋 Would I recommend? 💯 P.s Please keep writing because i can see how much potential and creativity you have and i hope it continues through this novel or your future works. Much love ❤️

I just love this book so so much I stumbled upon and at first I wasn’t sure if I would like it But as I started reading it more , I got sucked into and it’s been an amazing ride ever since ❤️
I stumbled upon this book couple days ago and I must say it's really amazing. I love how each character has a story to tell and I look forward to journeying with them in their path of self discovery and acceptance.
