If it was black and white situation then simpley its easy to conclude why Sasuke had to die. But its more nuanced than that, Konoha itself cobtributed to the tragedy and downfall of the Uchiha Clan. Misunderstandings almost lead to a coup in the Clan which forced Itachi to annihilate those he loved I think the Author should have considered it from that perspective and I think Sasuke's struggles were not explored. Still I respect the direction which the author decided
