The rest of the night was as normal as could be. Casey was the same as he always was but Vera couldn't help but wonder when Kane would pop up again and whether or not she would recognize him when he did. Things had changed and she was going to have to adjust to them for the sake of the one she loved.

Kyle kept his mouth shut and insisted it was an accident because he was afraid of getting a mark on his permanent record too. His parents hadn't been happy about paying for the medical bills and wanted someone to sue since he had to have reconstructive surgery.

My brother in law has a fear of driving. Luckily for him Covid allowed him to work from home for a while. He had been waking up at 3 am to ride the bus for 3 hours to get to work each day. When the company was bough in January, his options were to come back to the office or take the severance package. So he moved just up the road from the company so he could walk or take a short bus trip. But now he lives an hour away from his dad.
"Casey really needs to get over his driving phobia," Kane said in annoyance at his next therapy appointment. Casey had tried to drive there to get his hours in and switched out because he couldn't take it.
