Chapitre 30: Encountering a Danger
"Ahh! I can but I need materials." Facing such an excited face, John didn't know how to reply for a moment. He stiffly nodded his head and agreed to work for Shin.
"Alright then! After we reach the Kento District, I will hope you will forge me that weapon." Shin smiled and nodded his head.
After that, they discussed their personal lives. They didn't go deep in details just shared just some basic information.

Suddenly, the boat under them started moving. This immediately caught everyone off guard.
"What's happening?"
John panicked and quickly rushed toward the edge of the boat. The water seemed to be moving which made him confused.
"In River of Silent, water doesn't move which is why this is known as River of Silent. But once the water moves, it only means one thing."
Hina from the back spoke with a solemn expression.
Splash!
Suddenly, a large amount of water fell over the boat. A massive creature jumped out of the water.
"Oh my god! We are dead."
"No, why did this monster suddenly find us?"
The people in the boat started shouting in panic. A long arm with countless suckers on it smashed one corner of the boat. Another arm stretched out and moved toward the place where John and the others were standing.
"We are dead."
John almost cried as he saw that arm moving towards him.
At this moment though, a figure jumped from the boat and his body dashed toward the octopus.
This massive octopus was almost twenty meters tall. With a single jump, Shin managed to reach its front.
He clenched his fist and activated his Iron Body and Steel Flow Shin Body Art at the same time.
Manipulating his Iron Body density in his finger with his Qi, he thrusts his finger forward.
Whoosh! Splash!
His finger moved at a great speed, piercing its head. The octopus started moving crazily in pain.
Bang!
But before he could pierce deeper, one of its arms smashed him away.

Shin twisted his body toward the boat and his legs released a massive amount of fire as thrusters, pushing him toward the boat.

"It seems like we can't easily take that down." Shin started talking as soon as he landed on the boat.
"Do you have any plans?" Hina asked.
John and Barry looked at him as well. Other passengers were also rushing toward his side when they saw him battling the octopus.
There weren't a lot of fighters in this boat so they needed Shin's protection.
"I plan to use Crimson Destruction which should be more than enough to kill it. But, the problem is its tentacles. While I attack, it can still move. So, if its tentacles turn up the boat, we will be dead."
Shin touched his chin and answered.
He was analyzing another way to defeat this octopus. But, suddenly, Barry patted his shoulder and walked next to him.
"Leave his tentacles to me! I promise to take them down all at once." Barry confidently smiled and said.
"Are you sure? You know it can easily move its tentacle even while facing a powerful attack."
The moment it launched an attack against Shin while Shin tried to kill him in a single shot made him understand that he mustn't let its tentacle move.
"Don't worry, I have been working on a new move. It will definitely work."
Barry still had that confidence on his face.
"Wait, if you do not succeed to kill it in a single strike, the octopus will be able to regrow its tentacle and become even more violent. So, you must kill it in a single strike."
A man wearing a white dress walked toward them and heavily spoke.
This man was none other than the owner of the boat.
"Don't worry, I will be able to kill it in a single strike."
Shin nodded his head and raised his hand. His index finger and middle finger pointed at the head of the octopus while he released his Qi into his arm.
Qi was such a powerful energy that others could easily feel it as long as they have good senses.
The octopus was one of the evolved animals that lives in this river. So, it easily sensed the Qi and immediately directed its attention from healing that previous wound to destroying the boat.
It raised all of its tentacles from the water and thrusts them toward the boat.
"Damn it! It has shifted its attention at us."
The boat captain immediately fell into a panic while John curiously stared at Barry who was making a certain stance.
He crouched his upper body and lowered his head. He took a long breath while holding the hilt of his sword with his right hand.
His sword was a katana so his attacks were often sharp and swift. But this time, he was planning on pushing that sharpness and swiftness to another level.
'Six years! I trained for six years but I barely gained anything. After that, I only trained for six hours and I was able to create a new move.'
'Guidance is something that I truly lacked before. But now, it all changes. I am not going to move at the speed of a snail.'
'My sword will swing at the speed of lightning. This is the move isn't perfect nor do I have any mastery over it.'
'But, this is the only move that I can use right now.'
Suddenly, he opened his eyes and his Qi crazily moved toward his legs and sword. At this moment, he was gathering as much momentum as he could.
'This is it. This is the moment I master my new sword art.'

Suddenly, Barry moved like a flash of light. His body thrust toward one of the tentacles of the octopus as he swiftly swung his arm and cut down that tentacle.
But, in mid-air, he instantly managed to change his direction and move toward the next tentacle.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Splash! Splash! Splash! Splash!
After cutting down its last tentacle, he kicked the head of the octopus and somersaulted toward the boat.
[Flash and Slash]
Clack!
As he landed on the boat, the sword moved back to the sheath and he slowly released a deep breath. But, the next moment, his legs began to shake as he fell to the ground.
"Thank you, Barry! You should take some rest now."
"Move the boat at its fastest speed."
Shin turned his head at the captain after he nodded at Barry. Then, he turned his eyes at the octopus who was left with no tentacles and was screaming loudly.
At this moment, a red light emerged in front of his finger and a long circular stream of light dashed toward the octopus.
[Crimson Laser]
Splash!
The next moment, he swung his hand down and the octopus was cut in half. It wasn't even able to react to his attack.
Although his attack didn't have the speed of light, it was a lot faster than the speed of sound.
It's just that it takes a long time to brew this attack.
Thud!
The body of the octopus fell to the ground and suddenly, the boat started moving at its full speed. Its speed was at least increased by five times.
"That attack of yours! It's really powerful. Where did you learn?"
John curiously asked.
"She created it." Shin pointed his finger at Hina and said.
That was the truth. Although he was the one who taught her Flame Qi Art, she was the one who created most of its battle moves.

John immediately turned his head at Hina and praised her.
"Hey, what about mine?" When Barry saw John praising Hina and Shin, he couldn't help but feel frustrated. He didn't get any praise after showing his strongest attack.

John paused speechlessly and nodded his head.

Suddenly, the water from the back started rising and people panicked once again.
"Oh no, we have attracted more creatures towards us. What should we do?"
The Captain walked out of the cabin and walked toward Shin and the others. He slightly bowed his head and said.
"Mister, please save us! You are the only one who can save us right now."
Hearing his words, Shin didn't think too much. He simply nodded.
"Eh! Without this boat, we wouldn't be able to cross this river either way."
"Hina, come with me!"
Shin said as he took Hina to the back of the boat. Those people were running toward the front since there were several giant fish rushing toward the boat.
"Let's use Crimson Destruction together!"
Shin looked at Hina and said.
Hina nodded her head. Both of them raised their hands and extended their fingers. A red light emerged from their fingers and condensed into a small ball of light.
From the back, John was watching this entire scene. He couldn't help but touch his chin as he thought.
'One whose Qi reserve is massive. Another who has a similar skill to the previous one. And, finally, one who is good at swordsmanship. All of them have their own uniqueness.'
'They just left their home village but their strength is almost comparable to Second Floor Warriors. Not to mention, I haven't even seen their trump cards so it could be even above that.'
'Should I contact the Zodiacs?'
