"Arghh!!!!!!!" Tyler painstakingly stuggled to lift his heavy sword. His face had turned as red as tomato and veins stuck out of his forehead and forearms but the sword wouldn't burge an inch.
He was currently in his room, doing his "training".
While others were training in the open and spacious public training grounds, Tyler couldn't dare to go there. He had made himself a handfull of enemies the previous night in a bid to increase his dark energy by taunting and angering them. The worst part is that they didn't get to vent because he would run away shortly after before they could do anything to him.
He bet that they were silently waiting for him at the training ground so they could beat the pulp out of him. Not that he was scared or anything. He didn't want to draw too much attention by beating their asses.
"Seriously, How am I supposed to be a swordsman if I can't lift my own sword?!" Tyler gave up and left the sword on the floor. It had taken up most of the free floor space in his small room. Since he couldn't lift it, he could only let it act as a carpet on the floor.
He had tripped a few times but now he was used to it.
Sitting at his study desk, he opened a pink notebook that was on it, his thoughts drifting as he touched the white pages inside;
"Big brother, why do you always wear black clothes?"
"I don't know...black is my favorite color. Now leave me alone pl-..."
"But it makes you look scary- like those old vampires...Still, I don't believe you. Pink is my favorite color but I don't always wear pink. You're lying to me."
"If I tell you the reason will you stop pestering me?"
"mhmph!"
"Black is dark like my life...there's nothing vibrant in my life that's why I hate colors...."
"You're scaring me brother...you sound suicidal. I don't like it. And you're mean, how can you say you don't have anything vibrant in your life.....What about me and mom and Dad? Mostly me....hmph! You hurt my feelings!"
"..."
"Hold on.....have this! "
"Why are you giving me your pink notebook and backpack?"
"You were wrong, you have me in your life. So...since I know I'm vibrant and beautiful, I think you should have a little more color— that's why I'm giving you my pink stuff. So you remember that you were wrong and always were! I don't want you to think that again...I might get angry,"
Tyler pulled out of his thoughts, picked up a pen, and started writing down the whole timeline of the years to come. He emphasized dangerous events and those that he would use to his advantage.
He also made a note to put a cross on any event that would disrupt the timeline if touched.
But he already knew he had caused an irreversible butterfly effect by taking the Liber Infernus...which meant that most events relating to the Lilim could have changed— for the worse or better— he was yet to find out.
Flipping to the back of the notebook wrote down everything he remembered about the hover technology designs. After an hour of scribbling and drawing, he was finally done.
One of the perks of having a high IQ— photographic memory.
It was now time for him to start creating his first tech.
Tyler grabbed one of the monster cores and metallic parts he collected from different machines and placed them in a different black backpack before wearing it and leaving his room.
His destination— the engineering workshop.
In the Elite Academy, the curriculum was 70% cultivation and 30% professional courses.
After normal lessons commence the following week, Tyler planned on taking the engineering course— that way, he would have access to tools to work with.
He would have the right to access the engineering workshop whenever he felt like it. And he had already taken the initiative to sign up from the first day.
Since he already had four years' worth of experience doing engineering, he didn't need to attend lessons. In other words, he could focus on learning something new.
He would rather use that time to study alchemy in the library; and whenever he needed to use the workshop, he would just come by.
Now on the wide beautiful streets of the campus, Tyler haled a taxi and ordered the taxi driver to drop him at the engineering institute.
The streets were rather desolate and fewer people were walking around — courtesy of the tournament.

Somewhere on one of the training grounds. A tall lean figure with grey top hair could be spotted, wearing the academy's training attire which consisted of a black vest and a pair of army-designed cargo pants along with military boots.
He was silently standing there while the rest intensively trained.
At first glance, nothing special seemed to be going on with him but upon closer inspection, one could see that his breaths were deep and prolonged, and as they came out, a frightening amount of vapor— which was abnormal given the weather was hot.
After a few cycles of breathing out the vapor, he pulled the handle of a black cane he was holding and it separated from the rest of its body and a thin long blade was unsheathed.
A bright reflection ran across its sharp ages as it was being unsheathed.
The figure slashed horizontally with his cane sword seeming to attack the air but a cold sword image formed which traveled far off into the distance slicing off the head of a maniquan the instant it connected.
Satisfied with the results, he placed the blade back in its cane sheath, deciding to call it quits.
Just then, a burly bald boy in the same attire walked up to the grey-top figure. He had a smug smile on his face as he started to speak.
"Master Kyle, I have some news that you might find interesting,"
There was a period of silence as Kyle turned slowly to face the new arrival. He smiled in turn like he was about to hear some pleasant poem. However, his dark gaze spoke of the impatience hidden behind his smile.
"Well, are you going to keep me in suspense Grod?"
Immediately, the burly boy named Grod dropped his smug smile and his expression turned fearful before he bowed at once.
"N-no I..I wouldn't dare," he stammered, "Master Kyle, about the assignment you gave me last time....to confirm whether your cousin came to the academy— At first I thought it would be a difficult task given the fact that the academy is too vast. But that idiot somehow managed to show up in front of me trying to provoke me verbally but then he ran away almost instantly....I guess it's true what they say about him..."
"And what is that?"
"I did some digging up right after and found out that he is apparently mentally perturbed. His actions yesterday proved it...and also he chose a weapon he couldn't even lift thus he is popularly known as the Heavy Sword Idiot"
A period of silence reigned as Kyle seemed to be in deep thought. From what he knew, Tyler wasn't mentally perturbed. He knew Tyler was intelligent from ordinary school. Could he perhaps have an art that utilizes the heavy sword?
-But then I don't see the logic of provoking someone stronger than you and then running away, unless.....he knew Grod was affiliated with me and wanted to make his presence known.
-Does that mean he has grown strong enough that he is confident to face me?
The thought was a shocking one so he decided to ask immediately to make sure.
"And his rank? What's his rank?"
"Master Kyle, that brat is just at G rank! He is the weakest in the whole academy!"
Hearing Grod's words diminished all the thoughts Kyle was previously entertaining.
-Why exactly did he provoke Grod?
"Did he provoke you alone?"
"No,"
-Then that means he doesn't know my affiliation with Grod and Grod was just one of the random many he decided to provoke. But why? Has he really gone mad? And he saw it as a form of lunatic fun?
His smile turned to a smirk as a cold glint flashed in his eyes.
-It's either you have turned crazy...or you are plotting something. If you are plotting something, then you remind me a lot of that Infernal_Architect chess master online— completely unpredictable! But that's up to time to tell.....for now, we still have some scores to settle.
"Grod, what's his class?"
"Class 1-D"
"Room?"
"Block 1, Building 3, First floor. room 34"
Kyle turned his gaze to the sky and closed his eyes.
"Big cousin....Looks like our reunion is due. But first, I'll play with you like a toy!"
