Chapitre 20: Deal
After the conference was over, people started walking out of the hall. Byeol suddenly asked for one of the employees and told them that he wants to talk with Josh in private.
A few minutes later, he was led into a room and Josh was already there.
"Nice to meet you Mr. Byeol. You can tell us any request you might have and we will try to fulfill it to the best of our abilities."
"I have a few things to say and it will take some time. Hope you don't mind?" Byeol made his business smile and asked the man politely.
"Of course not! Please have a seat."
Byeol sat down on the chair opposite to Josh and handed him the documents that showed his ownership of the Dragon's corpse.
"Firstly, I want to "donate" the corpse of Kamish back to the States."
Josh was surprised and mentally narrowed his eyes. He didn't believe Byeol, who was a businessman before becoming a Hunter, would so easily give away the chance to gain such a large amount of money. He was about to ask him about the cost but Byeol spoke up, "But it would not be free of cost."
Josh nodded his head in understanding.
"With so much of the Californian West Coast destroyed, I believe that you all would have to spend quite some money for rebuilding."
"... Yes. Yes, we would be spending a lot."
"So… My proposition is that, I want you to allow my company to help in rebuilding and restructuring Telecommunication for the destroyed regions."
"...hmmm. But what do WE gain from that?"
"I will be reducing 15% from the final costs but in exchange I want my company to be the only Telecommunications and Network provider for the Californian Government."
Both of them stayed quiet for a few minutes. Josh thinking about what he heard and Byeol waiting for an answer.
"But even if I am the head of the American Hunter's Bureau, I will not be able to single handedly change the decisions of the Government, even if it is for a single State."
"I know. But I also know the fact that you are also influential enough that many people would listen to you and consider your decision."
"Hmm. 25%"
"What?"
"I want a 25% reduction or we wouldn't have a deal."
"Hmm. 17%"
"24%"
"20% percent, I can't go lower than that. I would incur losses at that price."
"Hmm. We have a deal. I will be discussing this with the higher-ups to see if they approve." Josh shook Byeol's hands and took the Kamish's documents back.
"I hope to hear some good news."
Byeol bid him goodbye and was escorted out. He boarded a car as he didn't feel like flying right now. In the car he switched his phone on.
*Ting* *Ting* *Ting* *Ting*...
Hundreds of notifications about different messages that he received from his friends and family came rushing in.
He ignored them for now and decided to open the contact of his Company's secretary. His secretary had also called and messaged him a lot asking if he was alright. He gave a short answer and started chatting with him.
[Prepare to open a large branch in California.](AN: They are currently chatting using text messages)
[Sir? Beg your pardon?]
[I just had a talk with the Head of the American Hunter's Bureau. We agreed a 20% price cut in our services in exchange for being able to provide telecommunications services during the rebuilding of the West Coast and for also being the only provider of telecommunication for the Californian Government. Though the decision has still not been finalized by the Government, I have a hunch that we will be able to successfully make a deal.]
[Congratulations sir! That is great news! Though I would prefer it if you had informed us, or atleast me, if you wanted to decrease the cost of our products.]
[Are you angry?] Byeol asked, a little confused. He thought that his employees would be happy after receiving such a big offer.
[Sir, of course I am happy. But overseeing the process of the creation of a new Branch, the construction for the building, employing new workers and also handling logistics within an extremely small time would be a nightmare for us to do. So it would be better if you had given us time to prepare for it.]
[I am sorry. I will try to discuss it with you all before next time.]
[Thank you sir.]
Byeol locked his phone and looked outside. The road was still quite empty, with only a few cars and an extremely small number of civilians.
He looked up towards the sky and was able to see the unnatural star in the sky even when the sun was shining brightly.
'It would still take some time before the effects of the Kamish Gate to get worn off.' he thought.

Inside a huge castle, which was larger than most cities. In the throne room an extremely tall humanoid was sitting on the throne. The humanoid had two large horns coming out of his head, and glowing white hair flowing down his back. It had a grey coloured body which was extremely muscular.
The humanoid was looking towards the large red dragon that was standing in front of him.
"My lord has ordered has ordered you to descend to this world at the earliest. Please don't disappoint him again, Monarch of White Flames."
