Chapitre 7: The Memory Part 1
??? - "Wake up..."
??? - "Hey, sleepyhead... It's time to get up."
Madison - "mmm"
Madison woke up at the crack of dawn from the bed that she was in and looked around her house, albeit in a bit of a daze, and eventually made eye contact with her father. After noticing him, she gave off a contagious smile that quickly spread to him and seemed to make him happy.
Hi, I'm Madison Madrena, and I'm seven years old. I live in a house in a village with my dad. My mother died when I was young, and I don't really have any other family. I'm really happy here, and when I get older, I will get strong, like really strong, become famous, and make dad happy.
Father - "You're going to be upset if I have to eat all of the breakfast myself, ya know."
Her father's stomach growled a bit, and he walked out of the room as Madison started to internally panic at the thought of him eating her food. The blanket flew off of her bed hastily, and Madison headed straight towards the living room of the relatively small house to have some of her father's famous breakfast. Her bed was a mess, and she knew that she would have to tidy it up later, but none of that mattered now as the only thing on her mind was the first meal of the new day.
Upon sitting down at the table, her father stepped out of the nearby kitchen and put a wooden plate in front of her. On the plate were two freshly cooked eggs and a small amount of bread. Madison was ecstatic that she had eggs on her plate since they weren't a common item in her village due to their fragile nature and the small number of chickens. She didn't think that but became excited and started to scarf down the food in front of her.
Father - "So I was thinking..."
Madison stopped eating for a second and looked at her father.
Father - "Do you wanna go out for a walk later after I finish my work? I'll be getting home early today."
Madison's face lit up, and she quickly nodded at him to acknowledge that she would love to do that. Her father smiled as he looked at his happy daughter. He loved her more than anything in the world and wanted nothing more than her happiness.
Madison had finished eating, and after her father did the same, he took the plates and brought them to the kitchen, where he proceeded to clean them. After he was done, he got dressed and started to head out for his job, which was to tend to local farmlands.
Madison - "I love you, dad! Get home quick!"
Father - "Of course. Anything for you."
He then left through the front door, and a short while later, Madison did the same and headed towards the center of the village since this was where the other kids usually gathered. The other kids feared her a little due to her having a strong and violent nature despite being a girl, but they didn't ostracize her in the slightest; in fact, they enjoyed being with her.
When Madison arrived at the village center, she noticed some of the kids already playing around, so she soon joined in and had a fun time with them for most of the day.
Time passed, and it was about the late afternoon when her father finished his work early and found Madison with the other kids. They were currently playing what looked like a game of chicken near the community well. They all knew its importance and that there would be consequences if they went to it since they were told not to until they were older. Madison wasn't playing but instead watching from the sidelines as she saw no point in participating.
Father - "Hey Guys!"
All of the other kid's attention quickly turned towards Madison's father as they shuddered in fear of the consequences that would befall them. This was horrible. They knew that what they were doing was wrong; it was against their parent's rules, they were knowingly breaking the rules for fun. There would definitely be repercussions.

Kids #6 - *Runs Away*
Father - "..."
He was at a loss for words. A group of children cried, screamed, and ran away when he said hello. He momentarily pondered what did he do wrong before chalking it up as kids being kids and turned his attention to his daughter.
Father - So... You ready to go on that walk?
Madison - *nods in excitement*
Father - "Alright, then let's go."
Her father turned around and started to walk on one of the many dirt roads that connected their village to other villages and towns. Madison quickly caught up with him and began to match his pace. They both smiled as they walked.
Sadly this happiness of hers in this small corner of the world wouldn't last much longer.
