Under the shine of the moonlight, a group of horsemen led by Sarika glided out of the estate.

Their number was approximately five hundred. It was a pitifully small force compared to the seven or eight thousand soldiers who were currently besieging them.

Moreover, not all horses they rode were legitimate warhorses. Most were horses raised for the leisure and hobbies of nobles, unsuited for the rigours of battle.

Nevertheless, Sarika and the soldiers she led had to make do with what they had.

As they moved out, the estate's building shadowed them, offering a brief moment of concealment.

The soldiers kept their movements fluid and silent, avoiding any sudden jerks or loud sounds that could give away their position.
