Great start!! I love the interactions between them! Hope you can continue this, and you can have all my power stones.
Seems like a kinda beta MC but in reality the book simply is moving to slow for the plot to not seem beta'ish so the author simply needs more experience and practice.
Brother gave him power like he can control water right so he can control vapor ice, etc because they are part of water elements when he master ice so he can master to freeze anything like esdeath. Who freeze time.
