When they left the house, it was 7 already because Andy Gao had taken a little longer than expected. However, Xu Anyi was not rushed at all as she carefully put on her shoes and moved like a sloth, afraid of accidentally ruining the dress.
Si Mu opened the door for her and turned around, grinning softly, "Don't worry about it. The dress isn't that weak."
Xu Anyi pursed her lips out, gingerly lifting the edges of the dress up as she sat down in the car, "I'm scared! It is my honor to wear a dress like this."
"Don't be." Si Mu said as he bent down, reaching in as he grabbed the seatbelt from Xu Anyi and leaned in further, helping her put it on. He then looked into her eyes, their faces only a few centimeters away from each other, "It is the dress's honor to be on you."
Xu Anyi held her breath in as her heartbeat sped up, and she was afraid he would be able to hear because they were so close, "I-"
Luckily, Si Mu pulled away right after and closed the door. Outside the car, Si Mu took a deep breath as he also collected himself. She did not know, but his heart also began racing when he saw her in that dress, and the longer he looked at her, the more he felt like he could not control himself.
He sighed as he walked around the car and got in. Well, what could he do? His wife needed to look the best for the party, so he could only control himself and support her.

Half an hour later, the black car stopped in front of the grand porte cochere of the Xin Hotel, and Si Mu got out of the driver's seat first, straightening his suit as he walked around the car.
The guests walking in and out of the hotel couldn't help but stop to look.
"Look at that man! Who is he?! He's so handsome!"
"I don't know! Oh my gosh, I'm going to faint! He looks so good!"
The man standing next to them also paused, "He looks just fin-"
He paused, "Wow. . . His car! That's a special edition car, I've never seen it in real life before. I heard there are only ten of that style in the entire world! It looks beautiful!"
Si Mu walked around the car and pulled open the door to the passenger's seat, reaching his hand in. He took the slender hand into his own and a long and thin leg stepped out of the car, drawing everyone's attention.
Xu Anyi slowly got out of the car, scared of pulling or tearing the dress, and stepped out into the night. However, the light coming from the hotel lit up the entire driveway, and the dress began sparkling again like a diamond.
Everyone around them exclaimed in awe as the world seemed to silence and everyone held their breath, afraid it was a dream or an illusion, and it would disappear if they breathed or spoke.
However, the beautiful sight was broken as Si Mu stepped in front of her, covering her from the group of people watching outside the hotel. He frowned, glaring at the guys that were staring at Xu Anyi.
Maybe he had made the wrong decision to let her wear this dress. . .
But it was too late.
"I'm going to go, I'm late already," Xu Anyi said as she looked at the time on her phone. The party was supposed to start half an hour ago, "Can you come pick me up at 10?"
"Or. . . 9," Xu Anyi said after some thought. She probably did not want to stay for that long. She wouldn't know many people there, and even for the people she did know, she probably did not want to be with them for long either.
She only wanted to show up and then leave after gracing Xia Yiwei with her presence. . . Xu Anyi's lips twitched at the thought as she hid the sinister expression that was growing on her face.
Si Mu nodded and looked at her from head to toe with a worried expression, "Call me if anything happens, okay?"
Xu Anyi nodded and leaned forward, gently kissing him quickly on the cheeks. Because she was wearing heels, she did not need to stand on her toes. Then, she waved goodbye to him and quickly ran off so he wouldn't see the blush on her face.
However, the blush on his own face was quite clear as he stood there, watching her leave hurriedly. He gulped as he looked around in a daze, then got into the car and drove off.

Ding!
The elevator door opened on the balcony floor of the Xin Hotel, and as the door slowly slid open, Xu Anyi heard the loud noise of everyone talking right away.
She unknowingly held her breath in as she clenched her fists together, gripping tightly onto her handheld bag. This would be the first time she returned to her world from before, the world she had been thrown out of five years ago.
The door opened for several seconds before she stepped out and turned around, seeing the glass door that led out to the party outside.
There was an enormous infinity pool on the top balcony of the Xin Hotel, which was one of its attractions, and it cost a lot to purchase a ticket up to the pool. Xu Anyi wondered how much Xia Yiwei, or Lu Yuzhe, had paid to reserve the entire balcony.
However, it was not that unbelievable for Xu Anyi, since she had this type of lifestyle in the past as well. Her father had reserved an entire hotel floor for her 18th birthday in the past, but thinking about it now only made her sad and angry. . .
The thought of her parents made her eyes burn with rage as she pushed the door open and stepped into the balcony. She immediately felt the cold wind, probably because it was so high up, but the temperature wasn't low so she wasn't cold.
There was a worker standing right at the doorway, blocking the entrance into the central portion of the balcony, and when he saw Xu Anyi, he froze for a moment.
"Hello," Xu Anyi greeted him, pulling out the invitation and handing it to the worker.
"H- Hello- Welcome," he stuttered, unable to take his eyes off of him.
"I'm here for the party," Xu Anyi clarified, smiling sweetly. However, her sweet smile could never look innocent or pure like Xia Yiwei, because she naturally had an alluring face, and people would say her eyes looked like a fox when she looked at people, so her smile seemed sexy and charming, able to make any man go crazy.
Yes, that was Xu Anyi, the red rose that made every man in all of City A go crazy over her.
"Welcome, please," the man said as he held a hand out, and escorted her through the narrow walkway which led to the large area that was the size of half a football field.
There was soft music playing that came from a corner of the swimming pool, where there was a live band. However, everyone was gathered at the other end of the ball at the moment.
The party seemed to have just started, as everyone was still crowded around Xia Yiwei, wishing her happy birthday and talking with her.
She walked in and looked around at the extravagant decorations and beautiful setup. There were tables of food to one side next to the band. On the other end, there was a large banner that read "Happy Birthday Xia Yiwei" with balloons and gigantic bows as decorations where the group of people was standing.
There were pink roses and candles on the pool, as it wasn't a pool party so the pool was just for decoration.
As Xu Anyi stepped in, no one noticed her as they were all busy talking until one person standing at the edge of the crowd who turned around to grab a glass of wine noticed the sparkling streak of red and exclaimed, "Who is that?"
Slowly, a few people turned around and couldn't help but gasp at the sight, and before long, everyone had turned their attention to the arrival of a new guest.
Xu Anyi thanked the worker and slowly walked over to the group of people. Her movements were proud and elegant, and her thin lips curled up slightly as she straightened her back, walking towards the group of people.
She stopped a distance away from them, and she scanned the crowd slowly, her eyes finally landing on the woman standing in the middle of the crowd.
Her smile widened, but it was not a relieved or pleasant smile. Instead, it was provocative and proud, as if she was announcing her arrival.
The smile on Xia Yiwei's face dissolved for a moment as her hands froze in surprise, but after a few seconds of silence, she quickly regained her composure as she squeezed through the crowd and walked over, calling her name very loud so everyone could hear, "Anyi, is that you?"
mwahehehe here comes the drama :) I'm so excited ^o^
