Chapter 78: Tom Gets Eaten

This crab was eventually temporarily confined in a bucket by Tom. Subsequently, Tom picked up a small fishing net and went into the water again, ready to catch more crabs to cook them in a pot.

However, before this idea could be implemented, there was a commotion on the sea. Wave after wave of waves gradually became denser and more intense.

It seemed like a sign of big waves coming. Adrian quickly paddled towards the shore. He was worried about being washed onto the beach by the waves.

Artoria clutched her swimming ring, looking a bit confused as she drifted towards the shore with Rui Mengmeng.

But Tom was getting excited. Wasn't this the big wave he had been waiting for?

With a swoosh, Tom grabbed the surfboard and headed towards the sea. The sunglasses he was wearing slid off and spun in the air a few times before landing on the chair.

Tom was now prone on the surfboard, using both hands to paddle closer to the center of the wave.

When he judged the timing was right, Tom turned around. He stood on the surfboard, trying to maintain balance.

Soon enough, just as he expected, the sea water lifted him along with the surfboard. Tom happily struck several handsome poses on the surfboard.

However, Tom quickly realized something was wrong. He hadn't moved from his initial position the whole time.

Hesitantly bending over and looking down, Tom's gaze met the gaze of the sea creature underneath him.

There was actually no big wave at all. It was a massive sea creature emerging from the water!

The creature looked like a giraffe, but its mouth was full of sharp teeth. One of its eyes was larger than Tom's entire body.

At this moment, the sea creature's eye rolled upward, fixedly staring at the small thing on top of its head. Its face was full of ferocity, ready to go berserk at any moment.

Tom, on the other hand, stared at the sea creature beneath him for three seconds. Then, he lifted the surfboard and smacked the creature's head. After that, he bolted, using an unconscious leap from the air to propel himself.

The sea creature, similar to a giraffe, had a bulging red bump on its head bigger than Tom's body. Although this was insignificant compared to its massive body, the pain angered it. It opened its huge mouth and lunged at Tom in the air.

"Tom!" Adrian, who was turning back to swim to the shore, instinctively looked towards Tom's direction and made a few strokes. But he immediately realized it was futile; he probably wouldn't stand a chance. He quickly turned and shouted, "Artoria!"

Artoria was already out of the swimming ring. Her bare feet touched the sea surface, and she quickly ran towards Tom with her hands gripping an imaginary sword, her intention clear.

However, it was too late. The distance between Artoria and Tom was too far, and the sea creature was too close to Tom. Moreover, the giraffe-like creature had a long neck. Poor Tom couldn't escape its range of attack and was swallowed in one gulp.

Even though Adrian believed Tom couldn't die, he still felt a pang of worry. He accelerated and swam over.

Artoria was also a bit nervous, but she wasn't panicked. Tom could still be saved after being swallowed!

"Haah~" Artoria leaped high into the air, her hands gripping the imaginary sword. She fiercely chopped at the base of the sea creature's neck.
